Evidence from the text

The word appears only once, in 46:21, as the complement of place of the warning: "when he warned his people at the Ahqaf". The verse at once attaches to it a chain of warners who passed "before him and after him", and the very content of the warning: "Obey none but God." The text does not place the Ahqaf on a map; it makes them the place of a word, and the entry keeps to this function.
