حدق
Attested forms : حَدَآئِقَ 3
Core meaning
The enclosed garden: a planted and surrounded expanse, tended for what it yields.
Uses
حَدَآئِق → "enclosed gardens" : always in the plural, within an enumeration of plant gifts.
Evidence from the text
The three uses are enumerations of gifts: enclosed gardens born of the water sent down from the sky (27:60), enclosed gardens and vineyards promised to those who guarded themselves (78:32), dense enclosed gardens among the palms and the fruits (80:30). The word is never alone: it names a planted and bounded space, beside other named produce.
