Al-Mursalat
Ten Times the Same Verdict
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. By those sent forth in succession, and those scattering violently, and those spreading far and wide, and those separating distinctly, and those delivering a reminder, as justification or as warning: indeed, what you are promised will surely occur.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلْمُرْسَلَٰتِ عُرْفًۭا فَٱلْعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصْفًۭا وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًۭا فَٱلْفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرْقًۭا فَٱلْمُلْقِيَٰتِ ذِكْرًا عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌۭSo when the stars are obliterated, and when the sky is split open, and when the mountains are blasted away, and when the messengers' time is set — for what Day were they deferred? For the Day of Separation.
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِand what will make you know what the Day of Separation is?
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِWoe, that Day, to the deniers!
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَDid We not annihilate the former peoples?
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَThen We will make the later ones follow them.
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَThus do We deal with the severed.
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَWoe, that Day, to the deniers!
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَDid We not create you from a lowly fluid? Then We placed it in a firm lodging, until a known measure; We determined —
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍۢ مَّهِينٍۢ فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍۢ مَّكِينٍ إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ فَقَدَرْنَاand excellent are We at determining!
فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَٰدِرُونَWoe, that Day, to the deniers!
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَHave We not made the earth a gathering place, for the living and the dead? And placed therein firmly anchored, lofty [mountains], and given you fresh water to drink?
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا أَحْيَآءًۭ وَأَمْوَٰتًۭا وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَٰمِخَٰتٍۢ وَأَسْقَيْنَٰكُم مَّآءًۭ فُرَاتًۭاWoe, that Day, to the deniers!
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَDepart to that which you used to deny! Depart to a shadow of three branches, neither shading nor availing against the flame.
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّۢ ذِى ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٍۢ لَّا ظَلِيلٍۢ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ- 77:33ورششعبةقالونالبزيقنبلالدوريالسوسي
It throws up sparks as huge as palaces, as though they were yellow camels.
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍۢ كَٱلْقَصْرِ كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٌۭ صُفْرٌۭ Woe, that Day, to the deniers!
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَThis is the Day they will not speak, nor will they be permitted to make excuses.
هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَWoe, that Day, to the deniers!
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَThis is the Day of Separation; We have gathered you and the former peoples. So if you have a scheme, then scheme against Me!
هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌۭ فَكِيدُونِWoe, that Day, to the deniers!
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَIndeed, those who guarded themselves will be amid shades and springs, and fruits of whatever they desire:
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَٰلٍۢ وَعُيُونٍۢ وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ"Eat and drink
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟pleasantly, for what you used to do."
هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَThus do We recompense those who do good.
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَWoe, that Day, to the deniers!
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ"Eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are severed."
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَWoe, that Day, to the deniers!
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَAnd when it is said to them, "Bow down," they do not bow down.
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَWoe, that Day, to the deniers!
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَIn what discourse, after this one, will they then believe?
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ
