Al-Qari'a القارعة

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. The Crash. What is the Crash?

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ

And what will give you an idea of what the Crash is?

وَمَا أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ

The Day when men will be like scattered moths, and the mountains will be like carded wool.

يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ

As for the one whose balances are heavy, he will be in a satisfying existence.

فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ

And as for the one whose balances are light, the Abyss will be his abode.

وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٞ

And what will give you an idea of what it is?

وَمَا أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡ

A scorching fire.

نَارٌ حَامِيَةُۢ
