Sourate Ar-Ra'd (13) vowelled

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Alif. Lam. Mim. Ra.i 1

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ الٓمٓر

These are the signs of the Scripture.i 1

تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ

And what has been sent down to you from your Guardian is the truth, 1

وَٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ٱلْحَقُّ

but most people do not believe. 1

وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

God is the One who raised the heavens without pillars 2

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى رَفَعَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍۢ

that you can see; 2

تَرَوْنَهَا

then He established Himself upon the Edifice;i 2

ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ

and He subjected the sun and the moon, 2

وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ

each running to a set term. 2

كُلٌّۭ يَجْرِى لِأَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى

He governs the affair, 2

يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ

He details the signs, perhaps you will have certainty of the meeting with your Guardian. 2

يُفَصِّلُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّكُمْ تُوقِنُونَ

And it is He who spread out the earth, and placed upon it firmly-anchored mountains and rivers;i 3

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَدَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنْهَٰرًۭا

and of all the fruits, He placed therein two elements of a pair,i 3

وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ جَعَلَ فِيهَا زَوْجَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ

He covers the day with the night. 3

يُغْشِى ٱلَّيْلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ

There are indeed in that signs for a people who reflect. 3

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

And on the earth, there are neighboring plots, gardens of vines, crops, palms clustered or standing alone, watered by the same water,i 4

وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ قِطَعٌۭ مُّتَجَٰوِرَٰتٌۭ وَجَنَّٰتٌۭ مِّنْ أَعْنَٰبٍۢ وَزَرْعٌۭ وَنَخِيلٌۭ صِنْوَانٌۭ وَغَيْرُ صِنْوَانٍۢ يُسْقَىٰ بِمَآءٍۢ وَٰحِدٍۢ

ورش قالون البزي قنبل الدوري السوسي

and We favor some of them over others in what they yield as food.i 4

وَنُفَضِّلُ بَعْضَهَا عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ فِى ٱلْأُكُلِ

There are indeed in that signs for a people who reason. 4

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ

And if you marvel, it is marvelous that they say: "Once we are earth, shall we really be in a new creation?" 5

وَإِن تَعْجَبْ فَعَجَبٌۭ قَوْلُهُمْ أَءِذَا كُنَّا تُرَٰبًا أَءِنَّا لَفِى خَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍ

Those are the ones who deny their Guardian,i 5

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ

those are the ones who will have chains around their necks, 5

وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْأَغْلَٰلُ فِىٓ أَعْنَاقِهِمْ

those are the companions of the Fire, wherein they will remain. 5

وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ

They ask you to hasten evil before good, though there have already come to pass, before them, exemplary precedents.i 6

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِمُ ٱلْمَثُلَٰتُ

And your Guardian is indeed possessed of forgiveness for the people, despite their injustice; 6

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍۢ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ ظُلْمِهِمْ

and your Guardian is indeed severe in retribution. 6

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ

And those who deny say: "Why has a sign not been sent down upon him from his Guardian?"i 7

وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦٓ

You are, yourself, only a warner, 7

إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرٌۭ

and to every people belongs a guide. 7

وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ

God knows what every female carries, and what the wombs diminish and what they increase; 8

ٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَحْمِلُ كُلُّ أُنثَىٰ وَمَا تَغِيضُ ٱلْأَرْحَامُ وَمَا تَزْدَادُ

and everything, with Him, is according to a measure. 8

وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍ عِندَهُۥ بِمِقْدَارٍ

The Knower of what escapes the senses and of what is manifest,i 9

عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ

the Great, the Supreme.i 9

ٱلْكَبِيرُ ٱلْمُتَعَالِ

It is equal, among you, whether one keeps his word secret or discloses it, and whether he hides in the night or moves openly by day.i 10

سَوَآءٌۭ مِّنكُم مَّنْ أَسَرَّ ٱلْقَوْلَ وَمَن جَهَرَ بِهِۦ وَمَنْ هُوَ مُسْتَخْفٍۭ بِٱلَّيْلِ وَسَارِبٌۢ بِٱلنَّهَارِ

He has, [placed] before him and behind him, relaying watchers, preserving him by God's command.i 11

لَهُۥ مُعَقِّبَٰتٌۭ مِّنۢ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِۦ يَحْفَظُونَهُۥ مِنْ أَمْرِ ٱللَّهِ

God does not change what is in a people until they change what is in themselves; 11

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا۟ مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ

and when God wills harm for a people, nothing can repel it, 11

وَإِذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍۢ سُوٓءًۭا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهُۥ

and they have, besides Him, no protector. 11

وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ مِن وَالٍ

It is He who shows you the lightning, feared and hoped for, and who raises the heavy clouds; and the thunder glorifies Him in praise, as do the Agents, out of fear of Him;i 13

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُرِيكُمُ ٱلْبَرْقَ خَوْفًۭا وَطَمَعًۭا وَيُنشِئُ ٱلسَّحَابَ ٱلثِّقَالَ وَيُسَبِّحُ ٱلرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِۦ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِۦ

and He sends the thunderbolt, and strikes with it whom He wills, while they dispute about God; and He is of a formidable rigor.i 13

وَيُرْسِلُ ٱلصَّوَٰعِقَ فَيُصِيبُ بِهَا مَن يَشَآءُ وَهُمْ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِى ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْمِحَالِ

To Him belongs the call of truth; 14

لَهُۥ دَعْوَةُ ٱلْحَقِّ

and those they invoke besides Him respond to them in nothing, except like one who stretches out his palms toward water so that it may reach his mouth, never reaching it. 14

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ لَا يَسْتَجِيبُونَ لَهُم بِشَىْءٍ إِلَّا كَبَٰسِطِ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَى ٱلْمَآءِ لِيَبْلُغَ فَاهُ وَمَا هُوَ بِبَٰلِغِهِۦ

The invocation of those who deny is nothing but astray.i 14

وَمَا دُعَآءُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ

And before God prostrates whoever is in the heavens and on the earth, willingly or unwillingly, as do their shadows, morning and evening. 15

وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ طَوْعًۭا وَكَرْهًۭا وَظِلَٰلُهُم بِٱلْغُدُوِّ وَٱلْءَاصَالِ

Say: "Who is the Guardian of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "God." 16

قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ

Say: "Have you then taken, besides Him, allies who hold for themselves neither profit nor harm?" 16

قُلْ أَفَٱتَّخَذْتُم مِّن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ نَفْعًۭا وَلَا ضَرًّۭا

Say: "Are the blind and the seeing equal?" 16

قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْبَصِيرُ

Or are the darknesses and the light equal?i 16

أَمْ هَلْ تَسْتَوِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتُ وَٱلنُّورُ

شعبة

Or have they assigned to God associates who created as He creates, such that creation seems alike to them? 16

أَمْ جَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ خَلَقُوا۟ كَخَلْقِهِۦ فَتَشَٰبَهَ ٱلْخَلْقُ عَلَيْهِمْ

Say: "God is the Creator of everything, 16

قُلِ ٱللَّهُ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ

and He is the One, the Subjugator." 16

وَهُوَ ٱلْوَٰحِدُ ٱلْقَهَّٰرُ

He has sent down from the sky a water, and valleys began to flow according to their measure, and the torrent carried a swollen froth;i 17

أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَسَالَتْ أَوْدِيَةٌۢ بِقَدَرِهَا فَٱحْتَمَلَ ٱلسَّيْلُ زَبَدًۭا رَّابِيًۭا

and of what is heated in the fire, seeking an ornament or a use, there is likewise a froth.i 17

وَمِمَّا يُوقِدُونَ عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلنَّارِ ٱبْتِغَآءَ حِلْيَةٍ أَوْ مَتَٰعٍۢ زَبَدٌۭ مِّثْلُهُۥ

ورش شعبة قالون البزي قنبل الدوري السوسي

Thus does God multiply truth and falsehood:i 17

كَذَٰلِكَ يَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْحَقَّ وَٱلْبَٰطِلَ

the froth goes off as scum, 17

فَأَمَّا ٱلزَّبَدُ فَيَذْهَبُ جُفَآءًۭ

while what is useful to people remains on the earth. 17

وَأَمَّا مَا يَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ فَيَمْكُثُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ

Thus God multiplies the examples.i 17

كَذَٰلِكَ يَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ

To those who respond to their Guardian belongs the best; 18

لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟ لِرَبِّهِمُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ

and those who do not respond to Him, if they possessed all that is on the earth, and its equivalent besides, they would give it as ransom. 18

وَٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَهُۥ لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا وَمِثْلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لَٱفْتَدَوْا۟ بِهِۦٓ

Those are the ones who will have the worst of reckonings, 18

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلْحِسَابِ

and their refuge will be Jahannam: 18

وَمَأْوَىٰهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ

what a detestable resting-bed! 18

وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمِهَادُ

Is he who knows that what has been sent down to you from your Guardian is the truth then like one who is blind? 19

أَفَمَن يَعْلَمُ أَنَّمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ٱلْحَقُّ كَمَنْ هُوَ أَعْمَىٰٓ

Only those endowed with reason remember, those who keep God's covenant and do not break the pact, those who join what God has commanded to be joined, dread their Guardian and fear the worst of reckonings, those who were patient seeking the direction of their Guardian, maintained the Contact, spent from what We provided them, secretly and openly, and repel evil with good.i 22

إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا يَنقُضُونَ ٱلْمِيثَٰقَ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ وَيَخَافُونَ سُوٓءَ ٱلْحِسَابِ وَٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا۟ ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِمْ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ سِرًّۭا وَعَلَانِيَةًۭ وَيَدْرَءُونَ بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ ٱلسَّيِّئَةَ

Those are the ones who will have the outcome of the Abode: 22

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عُقْبَى ٱلدَّارِ

the Gardens of Eden, which they will enter, along with those who were righteous among their ancestors, their spouses, and their descendants,i 23

جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍۢ يَدْخُلُونَهَا وَمَن صَلَحَ مِنْ ءَابَآئِهِمْ وَأَزْوَٰجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ

and the Agents will enter upon them through every gate:i 23

وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَدْخُلُونَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن كُلِّ بَابٍۢ

"Peace be upon you, for what you were patient in!" 24

سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُم بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ

What an excellent outcome of the Abode! 24

فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى ٱلدَّارِ

And those who break God's covenant after its ratification, sever what God has commanded to be joined, and spread corruption on the earth — those are the ones to whom belongs the curse, and to whom belongs the worst of abodes.i 25

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلدَّارِ

God extends provision to whom He wills, and He measures it: 26

ٱللَّهُ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُ

and they rejoice in the present life, 26

وَفَرِحُوا۟ بِٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا

while the present life, compared to the last life, is only a fleeting enjoyment. 26

وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ إِلَّا مَتَٰعٌۭ

And those who deny say: "Why has a sign not been sent down upon him from his Guardian?"i 27

وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ

Say: "God lets go astray whom He wills, and guides to Himself whoever turns back to Him, 27

قُلْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِىٓ إِلَيْهِ مَنْ أَنَابَ

those who believe and whose Cores find peace in the remembrance of God.i 28

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ

Is it not in the remembrance of God that the Cores find peace?"i 28

أَلَا بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ ٱلْقُلُوبُ

Those who believe and do righteous deeds — what felicity for them, and what a fine outcome! 29

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ طُوبَىٰ لَهُمْ وَحُسْنُ مَـَٔابٍۢ

Thus We have sent you within a community before which other communities have already passed, so that you may recite to them what We have revealed to you, while they deny the All-Benevolent. 30

كَذَٰلِكَ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ فِىٓ أُمَّةٍۢ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهَآ أُمَمٌۭ لِّتَتْلُوَا۟ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ وَهُمْ يَكْفُرُونَ بِٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ

Say: "He is my Guardian; 30

قُلْ هُوَ رَبِّى

there is no deity but Him; 30

لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ

in Him I place my trust, and to Him I return." 30

عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ مَتَابِ

And even if a Recitation caused the mountains to move by it, or split the earth by it, or made the dead speak by it [they would not believe].i 31

وَلَوْ أَنَّ قُرْءَانًۭا سُيِّرَتْ بِهِ ٱلْجِبَالُ أَوْ قُطِّعَتْ بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَوْ كُلِّمَ بِهِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ

But to God belongs the command, entirely: 31

بَل لِّلَّهِ ٱلْأَمْرُ جَمِيعًا

have those who believe not yet understood that, if God willed, He would guide all the people? 31

أَفَلَمْ يَا۟يْـَٔسِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَن لَّوْ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ لَهَدَى ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعًۭا

And those who deny will not cease to be struck, for what they have fabricated, by a sudden calamity, or [that calamity] will alight near their abode, until God's promise comes:i 31

وَلَا يَزَالُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ تُصِيبُهُم بِمَا صَنَعُوا۟ قَارِعَةٌ أَوْ تَحُلُّ قَرِيبًۭا مِّن دَارِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِىَ وَعْدُ ٱللَّهِ

God indeed does not fail His promise. 31

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ

And envoys before you were indeed mocked; I then granted a delay to those who denied, then I seized them:i 32

وَلَقَدِ ٱسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ

and what then was My retribution? 32

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ

Is He who watches over every Self, according to what it has earned, [like another]?i 33

أَفَمَنْ هُوَ قَآئِمٌ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ نَفْسٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ

And they have assigned associates to God: say: "Name them! 33

وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ قُلْ سَمُّوهُمْ

Will you inform Him of what He does not know on the earth, or is this only a word in appearance?" 33

أَمْ تُنَبِّـُٔونَهُۥ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَم بِظَٰهِرٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ

It is nothing of the sort: their scheme has been made to appear pleasing to those who deny, and they have been turned away from the path.i 33

بَلْ زُيِّنَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مَكْرُهُمْ وَصُدُّوا۟ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ

And whoever God lets go astray has no guide left. 33

وَمَن يُضْلِلِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِنْ هَادٍۢ

There is for them a punishment in the present life, 34

لَّهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا

but the punishment of the last life is even harsher, 34

وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَشَقُّ

and they have, against God, no protector. 34

وَمَا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَاقٍۢ

The example of the Garden promised to those who guard themselves: rivers flow beneath it, its food is constant, as is its shade —i 35

مَّثَلُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ أُكُلُهَا دَآئِمٌۭ وَظِلُّهَا

such is the outcome of those who guarded themselves, 35

تِلْكَ عُقْبَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوا۟

while the outcome of those who deny is the Fire.i 35

وَّعُقْبَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ٱلنَّارُ

And those to whom We gave the Scripture rejoice at what has been sent down to you,i 36

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَفْرَحُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ

but there are, among the factions, those who disavow part of it.i 36

وَمِنَ ٱلْأَحْزَابِ مَن يُنكِرُ بَعْضَهُۥ

Say: "I have only been commanded to obey God, and to associate nothing with Him: 36

قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱللَّهَ وَلَآ أُشْرِكَ بِهِۦٓ

it is to Him that I call, 36

إِلَيْهِ أَدْعُوا۟

and it is to Him that I return." 36

وَإِلَيْهِ مَـَٔابِ

And thus We have sent it down, as a flawless judgment:i 37

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ حُكْمًا عَرَبِيًّۭا

and if you followed their emotions after knowledge has come to you, you would have, against God, neither protector nor defender.i 37

وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَآءَهُم بَعْدَمَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّۢ وَلَا وَاقٍۢ

شعبة قالون البزي قنبل الدوري السوسي

We have indeed sent envoys before you, and given them spouses and progeny;i 38

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلًۭا مِّن قَبْلِكَ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا وَذُرِّيَّةًۭ

and it was not for any envoy to bring a sign, except with God's permission. 38

وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولٍ أَن يَأْتِىَ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ

To every term belongs a register.i 38

لِكُلِّ أَجَلٍۢ كِتَابٌۭ

God effaces what He wills, and He affirms, 39

يَمْحُوا۟ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَيُثْبِتُ

and with Him is the Source of the Scripture.i 39

وَعِندَهُۥٓ أُمُّ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ

Whether We show you a part of what We promise them, or whether We call you back to Us, only the transmission is incumbent upon you, and the reckoning belongs to Us. 40

وَإِن مَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْبَلَٰغُ وَعَلَيْنَا ٱلْحِسَابُ

Have they not seen that We come to the earth, reducing it from its extremities?i 41

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا نَأْتِى ٱلْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا

السوسي

God judges, and none can revise His judgment: 41

وَٱللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ لَا مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكْمِهِۦ

He is swift in reckoning. 41

وَهُوَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ

Those before them indeed plotted, but to God belongs the whole plot: 42

وَقَدْ مَكَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْمَكْرُ جَمِيعًۭا

He knows what every Self earns,i 42

يَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ

and those who deny will soon know to whom belongs the outcome of the Abode.i 42

وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلْكُفَّٰرُ لِمَنْ عُقْبَى ٱلدَّارِ

ورش قالون البزي قنبل الدوري السوسي

And those who deny say: "You are not sent."i 43

وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَسْتَ مُرْسَلًۭا

Say: "God suffices as witness between me and you, and whoever holds the knowledge of the Scripture."i 43

قُلْ كَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدًۢا بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَمَنْ عِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
