سورة 48
۞

Al-Fath

  • In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. We have granted you a manifest victory, so that God may forgive you your past and future wrongs, complete His favor upon you, guide you along a straight path, and aid you with a mighty aid.i 3
    بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًۭا مُّبِينًۭا لِّيَغْفِرَ لَكَ ٱللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِن ذَنۢبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ وَيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكَ وَيَهْدِيَكَ صِرَٰطًۭا مُّسْتَقِيمًۭا وَيَنصُرَكَ ٱللَّهُ نَصْرًا عَزِيزًا
  • It is He who sent down tranquility into the Cores of the believers, so that they might add faith to their faith. 4
    هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ ٱلسَّكِينَةَ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ لِيَزْدَادُوٓا۟ إِيمَٰنًۭا مَّعَ إِيمَٰنِهِمْ
  • And to God belong the armies of the heavens and the earth. 4
    وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ
  • God is All-Knowing, All-Wise — so that He may admit the believing men and the believing women into gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, and cover their bad deeds; that is, with God, an immense triumph — and so that He may punish the hypocrites, men and women, and those who associate [others with God], men and women, who harbor an evil thought about God.i 6
    وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًۭا لِّيُدْخِلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَيُكَفِّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًۭا وَيُعَذِّبَ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَٱلْمُشْرِكَٰتِ ٱلظَّآنِّينَ بِٱللَّهِ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوْءِ
  • Upon them, the cycle of misfortune. 6
    عَلَيْهِمْ دَآئِرَةُ ٱلسَّوْءِ
  • God became angry with them, cursed them, and prepared Jahannam for them. 6
    وَغَضِبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَنَهُمْ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَهَنَّمَ
  • What an evil destination! 6
    وَسَآءَتْ مَصِيرًۭا
  • And to God belong the armies of the heavens and the earth. 7
    وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ
  • God is Mighty, Wise. 7
    وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا
  • We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of good news, and a warner, so that you may believe in God and His messenger, that you may support him, that you may honor him, and that you may glorify God morning and evening.i 9
    إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ شَٰهِدًۭا وَمُبَشِّرًۭا وَنَذِيرًۭا لِّتُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَتُعَزِّرُوهُ وَتُوَقِّرُوهُ وَتُسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةًۭ وَأَصِيلًا
    البزي قنبل الدوري السوسي
  • Those who pledge allegiance to you are in truth pledging allegiance to God. 10
    إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُبَايِعُونَكَ إِنَّمَا يُبَايِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ
  • The hand of God is above their hands. 10
    يَدُ ٱللَّهِ فَوْقَ أَيْدِيهِمْ
  • Whoever breaks [this pledge] breaks it only to his own detriment. 10
    فَمَن نَّكَثَ فَإِنَّمَا يَنكُثُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ
  • And whoever fulfills the commitment he made to God, [God] will give him an immense reward.i 10
    وَمَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِمَا عَٰهَدَ عَلَيْهُ ٱللَّهَ فَسَيُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًۭا
    ورش قالون البزي قنبل
  • The notables who stayed behind will say to you: "Our possessions and our families kept us occupied; so ask forgiveness for us."i 11
    سَيَقُولُ لَكَ ٱلْمُخَلَّفُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ شَغَلَتْنَآ أَمْوَٰلُنَا وَأَهْلُونَا فَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا
  • They say with their tongues what is not in their Cores. 11
    يَقُولُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِم مَّا لَيْسَ فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ
  • Say: "Who then has any power over you against God, if He wished to harm you or wished to benefit you?" 11
    قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا إِنْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ ضَرًّا أَوْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ نَفْعًۢا
  • God is rather perfectly informed of what you do. 11
    بَلْ كَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًۢا
  • You rather thought that the Messenger and the believers would never return to their own people, and this was made appealing in your Cores; you harbored an evil thought, and you were a ruined people. 12
    بَلْ ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَنقَلِبَ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِيهِمْ أَبَدًۭا وَزُيِّنَ ذَٰلِكَ فِى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَظَنَنتُمْ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوْءِ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْمًۢا بُورًۭا
  • And whoever does not believe in God and His messenger — We have prepared for those who deny a blazing fire. 13
    وَمَن لَّمْ يُؤْمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ فَإِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ سَعِيرًۭا
  • And to God belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. 14
    وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ
  • He forgives whom He wills, and He punishes whom He wills. 14
    يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ
  • God is Forgiving, benevolent. 14
    وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًۭا
  • Those who stayed behind will say, when you set out to take spoils: "Let us follow you." 15
    سَيَقُولُ ٱلْمُخَلَّفُونَ إِذَا ٱنطَلَقْتُمْ إِلَىٰ مَغَانِمَ لِتَأْخُذُوهَا ذَرُونَا نَتَّبِعْكُمْ
  • They want to change the word of God. 15
    يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُبَدِّلُوا۟ كَلَٰمَ ٱللَّهِ
  • Say: "You will never follow us." 15
    قُل لَّن تَتَّبِعُونَا
  • That is what God said before. 15
    كَذَٰلِكُمْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ
  • They will then say: "No, you envy us." 15
    فَسَيَقُولُونَ بَلْ تَحْسُدُونَنَا
  • They understood, in fact, only a little. 15
    بَلْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا
  • Say to those of the notables who stayed behind: "You will be called to [fight] a people of great might; you will fight them, or they will become true to God alone."i 16
    قُل لِّلْمُخَلَّفِينَ مِنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ سَتُدْعَوْنَ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ أُو۟لِى بَأْسٍۢ شَدِيدٍۢ تُقَٰتِلُونَهُمْ أَوْ يُسْلِمُونَ
  • If you obey, God will give you a fine reward. 16
    فَإِن تُطِيعُوا۟ يُؤْتِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَجْرًا حَسَنًۭا
  • But if you turn away, as you turned away before, He will punish you with a painful punishment. 16
    وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوْا۟ كَمَا تَوَلَّيْتُم مِّن قَبْلُ يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۭا
  • There is no blame upon the blind, nor blame upon the lame, nor blame upon the sick [if they do not fight]. 17
    لَّيْسَ عَلَى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ حَرَجٌۭ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلْأَعْرَجِ حَرَجٌۭ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلْمَرِيضِ حَرَجٌۭ
  • And whoever obeys God and His messenger, [God] will admit him into gardens beneath which rivers flow.i 17
    وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
    ورش قالون
  • And whoever turns away, [God] will punish him with a painful punishment.i 17
    وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ يُعَذِّبْهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۭا
    ورش قالون
  • God was certainly pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you beneath the tree; He knew what was in their Cores, sent down tranquility upon them, and rewarded them with a near victory and abundant spoils that they will take. 19
    لَّقَدْ رَضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذْ يُبَايِعُونَكَ تَحْتَ ٱلشَّجَرَةِ فَعَلِمَ مَا فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَأَنزَلَ ٱلسَّكِينَةَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَثَٰبَهُمْ فَتْحًۭا قَرِيبًۭا وَمَغَانِمَ كَثِيرَةًۭ يَأْخُذُونَهَا
  • God is Mighty, Wise. 19
    وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًۭا
  • God promised you abundant spoils that you would take; He hastened this one for you and held back the hands of the people from you. 20
    وَعَدَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ مَغَانِمَ كَثِيرَةًۭ تَأْخُذُونَهَا فَعَجَّلَ لَكُمْ هَٰذِهِۦ وَكَفَّ أَيْدِىَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَنكُمْ
  • so that it might be a sign for the believers, and that He might guide you along a straight path. 20
    وَلِتَكُونَ ءَايَةًۭ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ صِرَٰطًۭا مُّسْتَقِيمًۭا
  • And another [gain] which you had not yet attained: God has already encompassed it [within His power]. 21
    وَأُخْرَىٰ لَمْ تَقْدِرُوا۟ عَلَيْهَا قَدْ أَحَاطَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا
  • God has power over all things. 21
    وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرًۭا
  • And had those who deny fought you, they would have turned their backs, then found neither protector nor helper. 22
    وَلَوْ قَٰتَلَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوَلَّوُا۟ ٱلْأَدْبَٰرَ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُونَ وَلِيًّۭا وَلَا نَصِيرًۭا
  • [Such is] the rule of God, already established before. 23
    سُنَّةَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِى قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلُ
  • And you will never find any change in the rule of God. 23
    وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ ٱللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًۭا
  • It is He who held back their hands from you, and your hands from them, in the hollow of Makka, after having given you victory over them.i 24
    وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى كَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ عَنْهُم بِبَطْنِ مَكَّةَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ أَنْ أَظْفَرَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ
  • God sees perfectly what you do.i 24
    وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرًا
    الدوري السوسي
  • It is they who denied and barred you from the inviolable place of prostration, and barred the offering, detained, from reaching its place of delivery.i 25
    هُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَٱلْهَدْىَ مَعْكُوفًا أَن يَبْلُغَ مَحِلَّهُۥ
  • And had it not been for believing men and believing women whom you did not know, [whom] you might have trampled underfoot, so that a fault would have befallen you because of them without your knowing — [He would have prevented you] so that God might admit into His benevolence whom He wills. 25
    وَلَوْلَا رِجَالٌۭ مُّؤْمِنُونَ وَنِسَآءٌۭ مُّؤْمِنَٰتٌۭ لَّمْ تَعْلَمُوهُمْ أَن تَطَـُٔوهُمْ فَتُصِيبَكُم مِّنْهُم مَّعَرَّةٌۢ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ لِّيُدْخِلَ ٱللَّهُ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ
  • Had they been separated [from one another], We would have punished those of them who denied with a painful punishment. 25
    لَوْ تَزَيَّلُوا۟ لَعَذَّبْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
  • When those who denied placed in their Cores fierce zeal, the zeal of ignorance. 26
    إِذْ جَعَلَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى قُلُوبِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيَّةَ حَمِيَّةَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ
  • God then sent down His tranquility upon His messenger and upon the believers, and bound them to the word of guardedness, of which they were most worthy and most deserving.i 26
    فَأَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ وَعَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَلْزَمَهُمْ كَلِمَةَ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ وَكَانُوٓا۟ أَحَقَّ بِهَا وَأَهْلَهَا
  • God is All-Knowing of all things. 26
    وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمًۭا
  • God has certainly made the vision of His messenger come true, in very truth: you will enter the Sacred Mosque, if God wills, in security, your heads shaved or your hair cut short, without fear. 27
    لَّقَدْ صَدَقَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولَهُ ٱلرُّءْيَا بِٱلْحَقِّ لَتَدْخُلُنَّ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ ٱلْحَرَامَ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ءَامِنِينَ مُحَلِّقِينَ رُءُوسَكُمْ وَمُقَصِّرِينَ لَا تَخَافُونَ

  • He knew what you did not know, and He appointed, before that, a near victory. 27
    فَعَلِمَ مَا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوا۟ فَجَعَلَ مِن دُونِ ذَٰلِكَ فَتْحًۭا قَرِيبًا
  • It is He who sent His messenger with guidance and the Law of Truth, so as to make it prevail over the whole Law.i 28
    هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُۥ بِٱلْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ ٱلْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلدِّينِ كُلِّهِۦ
  • And God suffices as a witness. 28
    وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدًۭا
  • Muhammad is the Messenger of God.i 29
    مُّحَمَّدٌۭ رَّسُولُ ٱللَّهِ
  • And those who are with him are firm toward those who deny, benevolent among themselves. 29
    وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُۥٓ أَشِدَّآءُ عَلَى ٱلْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَآءُ بَيْنَهُمْ
  • You see them bowing, prostrating, seeking bounty from God and [His] good pleasure. 29
    تَرَىٰهُمْ رُكَّعًۭا سُجَّدًۭا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًۭا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٰنًۭا
  • Their mark is on their faces, from the trace of prostration. 29
    سِيمَاهُمْ فِى وُجُوهِهِم مِّنْ أَثَرِ ٱلسُّجُودِ
  • That is their image in the Tawrah. 29
    ذَٰلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِى ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ
  • And their image in the Injil is that of a seed that puts forth its shoot, strengthens it, and it thickens and stands straight upon its stalk, delighting the sowers — so as to enrage through them those who deny. 29
    وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِى ٱلْإِنجِيلِ كَزَرْعٍ أَخْرَجَ شَطْـَٔهُۥ فَـَٔازَرَهُۥ فَٱسْتَغْلَظَ فَٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَىٰ سُوقِهِۦ يُعْجِبُ ٱلزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ ٱلْكُفَّارَ
  • God has promised those of them who believed and did righteous deeds forgiveness and an immense reward. 29
    وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِنْهُم مَّغْفِرَةًۭ وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًۢا
