  • In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. The All-Benevolent taught the Recitation.i 2
    بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
  • He created the human being, He taught him clear expression. 4
    خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ
  • The sun and the moon follow a precise reckoning. 5
    ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍۢ
  • The stemless plant and the tree bow down.i 6
    وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ
  • And the sky, He raised it, and He set up the balance — so that you would not exceed the limits in weighing: maintain the weight with equity and do not skew the balance. 9
    وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
  • And the earth, He established it for the creatures; therein are fruits, the palm with its enclosed spathes, the edible grain, and the fragrant plant. 12
    وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 13
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • He created the human being from ringing clay like pottery, and He created the Occulted from a pure flame of fire.i 15
    خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلْصَٰلٍۢ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍۢ مِّن نَّارٍۢ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 16
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • Guardian of the two easts and Guardian of the two wests. 17
    رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 18
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • He made the two seas flow together, meeting; between them a barrier they do not cross. 20
    مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌۭ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 21
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • From them both come forth the pearl and the coral. 22
    يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
    ورش قالون
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 23
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • And to Him belong the vessels raised up at sea, like mountains. 24
    وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَٰمِ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 25
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • Everything upon it is perishing, and only the Face of your Guardian remains, holder of majesty and nobility. 27
    كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍۢ وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 28
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • Those in the heavens and on the earth entreat Him; every day He is engaged in some matter. 29
    يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍۢ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 30
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • We shall attend to you, O you two burdened ones.i 31
    سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 32
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • O assembly of the Occulted and humans, if you are able to pass beyond the confines of the heavens and the earth, then pass beyond them.i 33
    يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟
  • You will not pass beyond them except with sovereign authority. 33
    لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 34
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • Upon you both will be sent a blaze of flame and a jet of molten copper, and you will not be able to help each other. 35
    يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌۭ مِّن نَّارٍۢ وَنُحَاسٌۭ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 36
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • And when the sky splits open and becomes rose-colored like tinted leather — which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? — on that day, neither human nor Occulted will be asked about his wrong.i 39
    فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةًۭ كَٱلدِّهَانِ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌۭ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 40
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • The severed will be recognized by their features, and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet. 41
    يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 42
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • This is Jahannam, which the severed used to deny; they will circulate between it and boiling water at its peak. 44
    هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍۢ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 45
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • And for whoever feared standing before his Guardian, two gardens — which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? — with abundant branches. 48
    وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍۢ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 49
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • In them both, two springs flowing.i 50
    فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 51
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • In them both, of every fruit, two kinds. 52
    فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٍۢ زَوْجَانِ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 53
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • Reclining upon carpets lined with thick brocade, the harvest of the two gardens within reach. 54
    مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍۢ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍۢ
    ورش قالون
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 55
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • Therein are beings of restrained gaze, untouched by any human or Occulted before them.i 56
    فِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌۭ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 57
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • As though they were rubies and coral. 58
    كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 59
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • Is the reward of good conduct anything but good conduct? 60
    هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَٰنُ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 61
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • And besides these two, two other gardens — which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? — deep green. 64
    وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 65
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • In them both, two gushing springs.i 66
    فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 67
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • In them both, fruits, palm trees, and pomegranates. 68
    فِيهِمَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ وَنَخْلٌۭ وَرُمَّانٌۭ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 69
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • Therein are beings excellent and beautiful. 70
    فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌۭ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 71
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • Beings to converse with, kept within the tents.i 72
    حُورٌۭ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌۭ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 73
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • Untouched by any human or Occulted before them.i 74
    لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌۭ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 75
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • Reclining upon green cushions and exceptional carpets, magnificent. 76
    مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍۢ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍۢ
  • Which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? 77
    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
  • Blessed be the Name of your Guardian, holder of majesty and nobility. 78
    تَبَٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
