Al-Infitar
What Deceived You?
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. When the sky breaks apart, and when the stars scatter, and when the seas gush forth, and when the graves are overturned, a Self will know what it has put forward and kept back.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْO human being! What has deceived you concerning your Guardian, the Generous, who created you, then proportioned you, then balanced you? In whatever form He willed, He assembled you.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍۢ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَBy no means! Rather, you deny the Retribution, while surely, over you are keepers, noble scribes, who know what you do.
كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَٰفِظِينَ كِرَامًۭا كَٰتِبِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَSurely, the virtuous will be in bliss.
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍۢAnd surely, the depraved will be in a Blaze; they will burn in it on the Day of Retribution, and they will not be absent from it.
وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍۢ يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَAnd what will make you know what the Day of Retribution is? Then, what will make you know what the Day of Retribution is?
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِThe Day no Self will possess a thing for another Self.
يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌۭ لِّنَفْسٍۢ شَيْـًۭٔاAnd the command, that Day, is entirely God's.
وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلَّهِ
