سورة 92
۞
Al-Layl
-
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. By the night when it envelops! By the day when it shines forth! By what created the male and the female! Your efforts are indeed diverse.i 4
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ -
As for the one who gives, and guards himself before his Lord, and affirms the best — We will ease him toward ease.i 7
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ -
But as for the one who withholds, and considers himself self-sufficient, and denies the best - We will ease him toward hardship. 10
وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ -
And his wealth will not avail him when he falls. 11
وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ -
Indeed, upon Us is the guidance, and indeed to Us belong the last and the first. 13
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْءَاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ -
So I have warned you of a blazing fire, in which none will burn except the most wretched, who denied and turned away. 16
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًۭا تَلَظَّىٰ لَا يَصْلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ -
And it will be kept away from the most righteous, who gives his wealth to purify himself, 18
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ -
and who seeks not, in any favor he grants, except the face of his Guardian, the Most High. 20
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍۢ تُجْزَىٰٓ إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ -
And he will surely soon be satisfied.i 21
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ
