Sourate Al-Bayyina (98) vowelled

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Those who denied among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to separate until the Clear Proof came to them:i 1

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ لَمْ يَكُنِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ

a Messenger from God, reciting purified pages, containing writings of perfect rectitude. 3

رَسُولٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ يَتْلُوا۟ صُحُفًۭا مُّطَهَّرَةًۭ فِيهَا كُتُبٌۭ قَيِّمَةٌۭ

And those who were given the Scripture did not become divided except after the Clear Proof came to them.i 4

وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ

And they were not commanded except to obey God, devoting to Him exclusively their Law, in true uprightness, and to maintain the Contact and give charity.i 5

وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓا۟ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ

And that is the religion of rectitude. 5

وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ ٱلْقَيِّمَةِ

Those who denied among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Jahannam, abiding therein forever. Those are the worst of creation.i 6

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ فِى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ ٱلْبَرِيَّةِ

Those who believe and do righteous deeds, those are the best of creation. 7

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ ٱلْبَرِيَّةِ

Their reward, with their Guardian, is the gardens of Eden beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein forever. 8

جَزَآؤُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًۭا

God is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. 8

رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ

That is for whoever fears his Guardian. 8

ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِىَ رَبَّهُۥ
