In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Woe to every stinging slanderer, insinuating disparager, who amasses goods and tallies them, thinking that his goods have made him eternal. By no means!
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَيۡلٞ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٖ لُّمَزَةٍ ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالٗا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ يَحۡسِبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ كَلَّاۖ
He will surely be cast away into the Crusher.
لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ
And what will give you an idea of what the Crusher is?
وَمَا أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ
The fire of God, kindled, which rises up to the Consciences.
نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ
It is indeed locked shut upon them, in extended pillars.
إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِمُۥ مُوصَدَةٞ فِي عَمَدٖ مُّمَدَّدَةِۭ
