به نام خدا، بی‌اندازه مهربان، مهربان. وای بر هر بدگوی نیش‌زن، سرزنش‌گر به کنایه، که مال می‌اندوزد و آن را می‌شمارد، می‌پندارد که مالش او را جاودانه کرده است. نه چنین!
بِسۡمِ اِ۬للَّهِ اِ۬لرَّحۡمَٰنِ اِ۬لرَّحِيمِ وَيۡلٞ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٖ لُّمَزَةٍ اِ۬لَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالٗا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ يَحۡسِبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ كَلَّاۖ
او بی‌گمان در خردکننده افکنده خواهد شد.
لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي اِ۬لۡحُطَمَةِ
و چه کسی تو را آگاه خواهد کرد که خردکننده چیست؟
وَمَا أَدۡر۪ىٰكَ مَا اَ۬لۡحُطَمَةُ
آتش خدا، افروخته، که تا آگاهی‌ها بالا می‌رود.
نَارُ اُ۬للَّهِ اِ۬لۡمُوقَدَةُ اُ۬لَّتِي تَطَّلِع عَّلَى اَ۬لۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ
آن بر آنان همانا قفل‌شده است، در ستون‌هایی کشیده.
إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةٞ فِي عَمَدٖ مُّمَدَّدَةِۢ
