What is the tartīl order?

The site calls tartīl, after the word of 25:32 ("and We have set it out in measured order"), this reading order: one reads from surah 114 to surah 1. Read in this direction, the Book is arranged in twelve sections and a gate. Each section opens on its surahs without letters and closes on a surah with isolated letters: these letters are its shelfmark, the label that marks its end. Surah 39 closes the first part, in which God gives the Book, and opens the second; the Fatiha closes the Book on the request "Guide us on the straight path".
