به نام خدا، بی‌اندازه مهربان، مهربان. آیا ندیده‌ای که سرپرستت با یاران بی‌خردی چگونه رفتار کرد؟
بِسۡمِ اِ۬للَّهِ اِ۬لرَّحۡمَٰنِ اِ۬لرَّحِيمِ أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصۡحَٰبِ اِ۬لۡفِيلِ
آیا نیرنگ آنان را گمراه نکرد؟ و آیا بر آنان پرندگانی تنومند نفرستاد، که بر آنان سنگ‌هایی از گل شکل‌گرفته می‌افکندند؟ و آیا بدین‌سان آنان را به حالت پوستهٔ دانهٔ خورده‌شده درنیاورد؟
أَلَمۡ يَجۡعَلۡ كَيۡدَهُمۡ فِي تَضۡلِيلٖ وَأَرۡسَلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ طَيۡرًا أَبَابِيلَ تَرۡمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٖ مِّن سِجِّيلٖ فَجَعَلَهُمۡ كَعَصۡفٖ مَّأۡكُولِۢ
