Sura93

Ad-Duha

Your Guardian has not dismissed you ما ودّعك ربّك

عم

11 versesSection XII22 of 37 in the tartīl order

Summary and links in the frieze

In the frieze Once an orphan, astray and indigent, then helped, he must not oppress the orphan nor rebuke the seeker.

Read just before, 94 leads here: Three questions on what was done for him; the next sura asks three more: orphan taken in, astray guided, indigent enriched. 94

It leads to 92: “You will be satisfied,” the sura promises; the next promises the same to the most guarded, who gives his goods to purify himself. 92

Read the section from its beginning: sura 114

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent.

93:1–3

By the morning brightness! By the night when it grows still! Your Guardian has not dismissed you, nor has He loathed you.

And the last is surely better for you than the first.

And your Guardian will surely endow you, and you will be satisfied.

93:6–8

Did He not find you an orphan and take you in? Did He not find you astray and guide you? Did He not find you indigent and enrich you?

93:9

So as for the orphan, do not oppress him.

93:10

And as for the seeker, do not rebuke him.

93:11

And as for the blessing of your Guardian, recount it.
