Al-Qiyama
Clear-Sighted About Himself
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. No! I swear by the Day of Appearance; and no! I swear by the self-reproaching Self.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم لا اقسم بيوم القيمه ولا اقسم بالنفس اللوامهDoes the human being think that We will not assemble his bones? Yes indeed!
ايحسب الانسن الن نجمع عظامه بليWe are able to proportion even his phalanges.
قدرين علي ان نسوي بنانهBut the human being desires to persist in depravity before him.
بل يريد الانسن ليفجر امامهHe asks, "When is the Day of Appearance?"
يسل ايان يوم القيمهSo when the sight is dazzled, and the moon eclipses, and the sun and the moon are joined together, the human being will say on that Day, "Where is the escape?"
فاذا برق البصر وخسف القمر وجمع الشمس والقمر يقول الانسن يوميذ اين المفرBy no means! There is no refuge.
كلا لا وزرTo your Guardian, that Day, will be the place of settlement.
الي ربك يوميذ المستقرThe human being will be informed, that Day, of what he put forward and kept back.
ينبوا الانسن يوميذ بما قدم واخرRather, the human being is, over himself, clear-sighted, even if he presents his excuses.
بل الانسن علي نفسه بصيره ولو القي معاذيرهDo not move your tongue with it to hasten it;
لا تحرك به لسانك لتعجل بهupon Us is its assembling and its recitation.
ان علينا جمعه وقرانهthen, when We have recited it, follow its recitation; then, indeed, upon Us is its explanation.
فاذا قرانه فاتبع قرانه ثم ان علينا بيانهBy no means! But you love the immediate life, and leave behind the last life.
كلا بل تحبون العاجله وتذرون الاخرهSome faces, that Day, will be radiant, looking toward their Guardian.
وجوه يوميذ ناضره الي ربها ناظرهAnd some faces, that Day, will be gloomy, thinking that a great calamity is about to befall them.
ووجوه يوميذ باسره تظن ان يفعل بها فاقرهBy no means! When [the Self] reaches the collarbones, and it is said, "Who will make [him] ascend?" and he thinks that it is the parting, and the leg is wound about the leg — to your Guardian, that Day, will be the drive.
كلا اذا بلغت التراقي وقيل من راق وظن انه الفراق والتفت الساق بالساق الي ربك يوميذ المساقFor he neither affirmed, nor made contact,
فلا صدق ولا صليbut he denied and turned away,
ولكن كذب وتوليthen he went to his people, walking in vain pride.
ثم ذهب الي اهله يتمطيCloser to you, and closer! Then closer to you, and closer!
اولي لك فاولي ثم اولي لك فاوليDoes the human being think that he will be left neglected?
ايحسب الانسن ان يترك سديWas he not a drop of ejected semen? Then he was a clinging thing; then He created and proportioned him, and made of him two mates, the male and the female.
الم يك نطفه من مني يمني ثم كان علقه فخلق فسوي فجعل منه الزوجين الذكر والانثيIs that One not able to give life to the dead?
اليس ذلك بقدر علي ان يحي الموتي
