Al-Buruj
Their Only Fault: Belief
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. By the sky containing constellations! And by the promised Day! And by a witness and what is witnessed! May the companions of the trench perish, of the fire richly fueled, when they sat around it, and were witnesses to what they were doing to the believers.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم والسما ذات البروج واليوم الموعود وشاهد ومشهود قتل اصحب الاخدود النار ذات الوقود اذ هم عليها قعود وهم علي ما يفعلون بالمومنين شهودAnd they reproached them for nothing except that they believed in God, the All-Powerful, the Praiseworthy, to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth.
وما نقموا منهم الا ان يومنوا بالله العزيز الحميد الذي له ملك السموت والارضAnd God is Witness over all things.
والله علي كل شي شهيدIndeed, those who tormented the believing men and believing women and then did not repent will have the punishment of Jahannam, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.
ان الذين فتنوا المومنين والمومنت ثم لم يتوبوا فلهم عذاب جهنم ولهم عذاب الحريقIndeed, those who believed and did righteous deeds will have Gardens beneath which rivers flow.
ان الذين امنوا وعملوا الصلحت لهم جنت تجري من تحتها الانهرThat is the great triumph.
ذلك الفوز الكبيرSurely, the strike of your Guardian is severe.
ان بطش ربك لشديدIndeed, it is He who originates and remakes.
انه هو يبدي ويعيدAnd He is the Most-Forgiving, the Loving, Holder of the Edifice,
وهو الغفور الودود ذو العرشthe Glorious, ever doing what He wills.
المجيد فعال لما يريدHas there reached you the account of the armies, of Fir'awn and the Depleters [Thamud]?
هل اتيك حديث الجنود فرعون وثمودYet those who have disowned [the truth] persist in denial, and God encompasses them from behind.
بل الذين كفروا في تكذيب والله من ورايهم محيطRather, it is a glorious Recitation, upon a Preserved Tablet.
