Purify or Bury
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. By the sun and its morning brightness! By the moon when it follows it! By the day when it displays it! By the night when it covers it! By the sky and what built it! By the earth and what spread it! By a Self, and what proportioned it, then inspired it with its transgression and its guardedness! He has succeeded who purifies it, and he has failed who buries it.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم والشمس وضحيها والقمر اذا تليها والنهار اذا جليها واليل اذا يغشيها والسما وما بنيها والارض وما طحيها ونفس وما سويها فالهمها فجورها وتقويها قد افلح من زكيها وقد خاب من دسيهاThe Depleters [Thamud] denied, in their excess, when the most wretched among them rose up. The messenger of God said to them, "[Leave] the she-camel of God, and her watering!" But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Guardian brought their ruin for their offense and leveled it.
كذبت ثمود بطغويها اذ انبعث اشقيها فقال لهم رسول الله ناقه الله وسقيها فكذبوه فعقروها فدمدم عليهم ربهم بذنبهم فسويهاAnd He does not fear its consequence.
