Al-An'am
The Guardian of Every Thing
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Praise be to God, who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darknesses and the light; yet those who disown set up equals to their Guardian.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله الذي خلق السموت والارض وجعل الظلمت والنور ثم الذين كفروا بربهم يعدلونIt is He who created you from clay, then decreed a term —
هو الذي خلقكم من طين ثم قضي اجلاand an appointed term, with Him.
واجل مسمي عندهYet still you doubt.
ثم انتم تمترونAnd He is God,
وهو اللهin the heavens and on the earth; He knows your secret and your public, and He knows what you earn.
في السموت وفي الارض يعلم سركم وجهركم ويعلم ما تكسبونNo sign, among the signs of their Guardian, comes to them without their turning away from it.
وما تاتيهم من ايه من ايت ربهم الا كانوا عنها معرضينSo they have denied the truth, when it came to them;
فقد كذبوا بالحق لما جاهمthe information of what they used to mock will soon reach them.
فسوف ياتيهم انبوا ما كانوا به يستهزونDo they not see how many generations We annihilated before them, whom We had established on the earth as We have not established you,
الم يروا كم اهلكنا من قبلهم من قرن مكنهم في الارض ما لم نمكن لكمand to whom We sent the sky in abundant rains,
وارسلنا السما عليهم مدراراand We made the rivers flow beneath them; then We annihilated them for their offenses,
وجعلنا الانهر تجري من تحتهم فاهلكنهم بذنوبهمand We raised up, after them, another generation.
وانشانا من بعدهم قرنا اخرينAnd had We sent down upon you a writing on parchment, and they had touched it with their hands, those who disown would certainly have said: "This is nothing but a manifest illusion."
ولو نزلنا عليك كتبا في قرطاس فلمسوه بايديهم لقال الذين كفروا ان هذا الا سحر مبينAnd they say: "Why has an Agent not been sent down upon him!"
وقالوا لولا انزل عليه ملكAnd had We sent down an Agent, the matter would already have been settled, and they would be granted no delay.
ولو انزلنا ملكا لقضي الامر ثم لا ينظرونAnd had We made him an Agent, We would have made him a man, and We would have clothed him in what they themselves wear.
ولو جعلنه ملكا لجعلنه رجلا وللبسنا عليهم ما يلبسونMessengers before you were indeed mocked; then what they used to mock enveloped those among them who scoffed.
ولقد استهزي برسل من قبلك فحاق بالذين سخروا منهم ما كانوا به يستهزونSay: "Travel through the land, then look how the end of those who denied was."
قل سيروا في الارض ثم انظروا كيف كان عقبه المكذبينSay: "To whom belongs what is in the heavens and on the earth?" Say: "To God.
قل لمن ما في السموت والارض قل للهHe has prescribed benevolence upon Himself.
كتب علي نفسه الرحمهHe will certainly gather you on the Day of Appearance, no doubt possible.
ليجمعنكم الي يوم القيمه لا ريب فيهThose who will have caused the loss of their Selves, those are the ones who do not believe."
الذين خسروا انفسهم فهم لا يومنونTo Him belongs what rests in the night and the day;
وله ما سكن في اليل والنهارHe is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
وهو السميع العليمSay: "Should I take a protector other than God, the Originator of the heavens and the earth,
قل اغير الله اتخذ وليا فاطر السموت والارضIt is He who nourishes and is not nourished."
وهو يطعم ولا يطعمSay: "I have been commanded to be the first of those who are true to God alone",
قل اني امرت ان اكون اول من اسلمand never be among those who associate.
ولا تكونن من المشركينSay: "I indeed fear, if I disobey my Guardian, the punishment of an immense day."
قل اني اخاف ان عصيت ربي عذاب يوم عظيمWhoever is turned away from it, on that day, He will have shown him benevolence,
من يصرف عنه يوميذ فقد رحمهand that is the manifest triumph.
وذلك الفوز المبينAnd if God touches you with harm, none can remove it but Him;
وان يمسسك الله بضر فلا كاشف له الا هوand if He touches you with good, He is capable of all things.
وان يمسسك بخير فهو علي كل شي قديرHe prevails above His obedient ones,
وهو القاهر فوق عبادهand He is the Wise, the Informed.
وهو الحكيم الخبيرSay: "What thing is greatest in testimony?" Say: "God,
قل اي شي اكبر شهده قل اللهwitness between me and you.
شهيد بيني وبينكمAnd this Recitation was revealed to me so that I might warn you by it, and whoever it reaches.
واوحي الي هذا القران لانذركم به ومن بلغDo you truly bear witness that there are, with God, other deities?" Say: "I do not bear witness [to that]."
اينكم لتشهدون ان مع الله الهه اخري قل لا اشهدSay: "He is only one deity,
قل انما هو اله وحدand I am indeed clear of what you associate [with Him]."
وانني بري مما تشركونThose to whom We gave the Scripture recognize him as they recognize their own children;
الذين اتينهم الكتب يعرفونه كما يعرفون ابناهمthose who will have caused the loss of their Selves, those are the ones who do not believe.
الذين خسروا انفسهم فهم لا يومنونWho is then more unjust than one who invents a lie against God, or denies His signs?
ومن اظلم ممن افتري علي الله كذبا او كذب بايتهThe wrongdoers indeed do not succeed.
انه لا يفلح الظلمونAnd the day when We gather them all together, then say to those who associated: "Where are your associates, whom you used to claim?"
ويوم نحشرهم جميعا ثم نقول للذين اشركوا اين شركاوكم الذين كنتم تزعمونThen their only trial will have been to say: "By God, our Guardian, we were not among those who associate."
ثم لم تكن فتنتهم الا ان قالوا والله ربنا ما كنا مشركينLook how they lie against themselves! And what they used to invent will have strayed away from them.
انظر كيف كذبوا علي انفسهم وضل عنهم ما كانوا يفترونAnd among them are some who listen to you,
ومنهم من يستمع اليكbut We have placed over their cores coverings, so that they do not understand it, and in their ears a deafness.
وجعلنا علي قلوبهم اكنه ان يفقهوه وفي اذانهم وقراAnd even if they saw every sign, they would not believe in it,
وان يروا كل ايه لا يومنوا بهاto the point that, when they come to you to argue, those who disown say: "These are nothing but legends of the ancients."
حتي اذا جاوك يجدلونك يقول الذين كفروا ان هذا الا اسطير الاولينAnd they forbid it [to others], and they distance themselves [from it];
وهم ينهون عنه وينون عنهand they ruin none but themselves, without perceiving it.
وان يهلكون الا انفسهم وما يشعرونAnd if you could see, when they will be placed before the Fire, and say: "Ah, if only we were sent back,
ولو تري اذ وقفوا علي النار فقالوا يليتنا نردand no longer denied the signs of our Guardian, and were among the believers!"
ولا نكذب بايت ربنا ونكون من المومنينNo! what they used to hide before has become apparent to them.
بل بدا لهم ما كانوا يخفون من قبلAnd were they sent back, they would certainly return to what they had been forbidden,
ولو ردوا لعادوا لما نهوا عنهfor they are surely liars.
وانهم لكذبونAnd they say: "There is nothing but our present life, and we will not be resurrected."
وقالوا ان هي الا حياتنا الدنيا وما نحن بمبعوثينAnd if you could see, when they will be placed before their Guardian! He will say: "Is this not the truth?"
ولو تري اذ وقفوا علي ربهم قال اليس هذا بالحقThey will say: "Yes, by our Guardian!"
قالوا بلي وربناHe will say: "Taste then the punishment, for having disowned."
قال فذوقوا العذاب بما كنتم تكفرونThey are indeed losers, those who have denied the meeting with God, to the point that, when the Hour comes upon them unexpectedly, they say: "What regret for us, for what we neglected in it!" They will bear their burdens on their backs.
قد خسر الذين كذبوا بلقا الله حتي اذا جاتهم الساعه بغته قالوا يحسرتنا علي ما فرطنا فيها وهم يحملون اوزارهم علي ظهورهمHow evil is what they weigh themselves down with!
الا سا ما يزرونThe present life is nothing but play and distraction;
وما الحيوه الدنيا الا لعب ولهوand the last abode is indeed better for those who guard themselves.
وللدار الاخره خير للذين يتقونWill you not then reason?
افلا تعقلونWe know well that what they say grieves you;
قد نعلم انه ليحزنك الذي يقولونbut it is indeed not you they deny,
فانهم لا يكذبونكbut it is the signs of God that the wrongdoers stubbornly reject.
ولكن الظلمين بايت الله يجحدونMessengers were indeed denied before you; they endured this denial and these persecutions, until Our help came to them.
ولقد كذبت رسل من قبلك فصبروا علي ما كذبوا واوذوا حتي اتيهم نصرناNo [force] can change the words of God.
ولا مبدل لكلمت اللهSome of the information about the envoys has indeed already reached you.
ولقد جاك من نباي المرسلينAnd if their turning away weighs upon you, then, if you have the capacity, seek a tunnel into the earth, or a ladder into the sky, to bring them a sign.
وان كان كبر عليك اعراضهم فان استطعت ان تبتغي نفقا في الارض او سلما في السما فتاتيهم بايهHad God willed, He would have gathered them upon guidance;
ولو شا الله لجمعهم علي الهديso never be among the ignorant.
فلا تكونن من الجهلينOnly those who hear respond.
انما يستجيب الذين يسمعونAs for the dead, God will resurrect them,
والموتي يبعثهم اللهthen it is to Him that they will be returned.
ثم اليه يرجعونAnd they say: "Why has a sign from his Guardian not been sent down upon him!"
وقالوا لولا نزل عليه ايه من ربهSay: "God is capable of sending down a sign",
قل ان الله قادر علي ان ينزل ايهbut most of them do not know.
ولكن اكثرهم لا يعلمونThere is no living being on the earth, nor bird flying with its two wings, but forms communities like you.
وما من دابه في الارض ولا طير يطير بجناحيه الا امم امثالكمWe have neglected nothing of the Code.
ما فرطنا في الكتب من شيThen it is to their Guardian that they will be gathered.
ثم الي ربهم يحشرونAnd those who have denied Our signs are deaf and mute, in darknesses.
والذين كذبوا بايتنا صم وبكم في الظلمتWhoever God wills to lead astray, He leads astray;
من يشا الله يضللهand whoever He wills [to guide], He places on a straight path.
ومن يشا يجعله علي صرط مستقيمSay: "What do you think? If the punishment of God came upon you, or the Hour came upon you, would you invoke other than God, if you are truthful?"
قل اريتكم ان اتيكم عذاب الله او اتتكم الساعه اغير الله تدعون ان كنتم صدقينIn reality, it is Him you would invoke; He would then remove, if He willed, that for which you invoked Him, and you would forget what you associate [with Him].
بل اياه تدعون فيكشف ما تدعون اليه ان شا وتنسون ما تشركونWe have indeed sent [messengers] to communities before you, and We seized them with misfortune and hardship, that they might humble themselves.
ولقد ارسلنا الي امم من قبلك فاخذنهم بالباسا والضرا لعلهم يتضرعونWhy did they not humble themselves, when Our rigor came upon them!
فلولا اذ جاهم باسنا تضرعواBut their cores hardened, and the Diverter embellished for them what they were doing.
ولكن قست قلوبهم وزين لهم الشيطن ما كانوا يعملونThen, when they forgot what they had been reminded of, We opened upon them the gates of everything,
فلما نسوا ما ذكروا به فتحنا عليهم ابوب كل شيto the point that, when they rejoiced in what had been given them, We seized them by surprise, and there they were, in despair.
حتي اذا فرحوا بما اوتوا اخذنهم بغته فاذا هم مبلسونThus was the last remnant of the people who had been unjust cut off.
فقطع دابر القوم الذين ظلمواAnd praise be to God, Guardian of all beings.
والحمد لله رب العلمينSay: "What do you think? If God took your hearing and your sight, and sealed your cores, what deity, other than God, would bring them back to you?"
قل اريتم ان اخذ الله سمعكم وابصركم وختم علي قلوبكم من اله غير الله ياتيكم بهLook how We diversify the signs, and yet they turn away from them.
انظر كيف نصرف الايت ثم هم يصدفونSay: "What do you think? If the punishment of God came upon you, unexpectedly or openly, who would be annihilated, but the wrongdoing people?"
قل اريتكم ان اتيكم عذاب الله بغته او جهره هل يهلك الا القوم الظلمونWe send the envoys only as bearers of good tidings and warners.
وما نرسل المرسلين الا مبشرين ومنذرينWhoever believes and reforms, no fear upon them, and they will not grieve.
فمن امن واصلح فلا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنونAnd those who have denied Our signs, the punishment will touch them, for having overstepped.
والذين كذبوا بايتنا يمسهم العذاب بما كانوا يفسقونSay: "I do not tell you that I hold the treasures of God, nor that I know what escapes the senses, nor do I tell you that I am an Agent;
قل لا اقول لكم عندي خزاين الله ولا اعلم الغيب ولا اقول لكم اني ملكI only follow what is revealed to me."
ان اتبع الا ما يوحي اليSay: "Are the blind and the seeing equal?"
قل هل يستوي الاعمي والبصيرWill you not then reflect?
افلا تتفكرونAnd warn by it those who fear to be gathered to their Guardian — they have, besides Him, neither protector nor intercessor — perhaps they will guard themselves.
وانذر به الذين يخافون ان يحشروا الي ربهم ليس لهم من دونه ولي ولا شفيع لعلهم يتقونAnd do not turn away those who invoke their Guardian, morning and evening, seeking His direction. Nothing of their account is upon you, and nothing of your account is upon them, that you should turn them away and then be among the wrongdoers.
ولا تطرد الذين يدعون ربهم بالغدوه والعشي يريدون وجهه ما عليك من حسابهم من شي وما من حسابك عليهم من شي فتطردهم فتكون من الظلمينAnd thus have We tried some of them by others, that they might say: "Is it then these whom God has favored among us?"
وكذلك فتنا بعضهم ببعض ليقولوا اهولا من الله عليهم من بينناDoes God not know best those who are grateful?
اليس الله باعلم بالشكرينAnd when those who believe in Our signs come to you, say: "Peace be upon you.
واذا جاك الذين يومنون بايتنا فقل سلم عليكمYour Guardian has prescribed benevolence upon Himself: whoever among you commits evil out of ignorance, then repents after that and reforms — He is indeed Most-Forgiving, Benevolent."
كتب ربكم علي نفسه الرحمه انه من عمل منكم سوا بجهله ثم تاب من بعده واصلح فانه غفور رحيمThus do We detail the signs, so that the path of the severed may become clearly apparent.
وكذلك نفصل الايت ولتستبين سبيل المجرمينSay: "I have been forbidden to obey those you invoke besides God."
قل اني نهيت ان اعبد الذين تدعون من دون اللهSay: "I do not follow your emotions;
قل لا اتبع اهواكمI would then be astray, and I would not be among those who let themselves be guided."
قد ضللت اذا وما انا من المهتدينSay: "I rely on clear evidence from my Guardian, and you have denied it.
قل اني علي بينه من ربي وكذبتم بهI do not hold what you seek to hasten.
ما عندي ما تستعجلون بهJudgment belongs only to God.
ان الحكم الا للهHe relates the truth,
يقص الحقand He is the best of those who separate."
وهو خير الفصلينSay: "If I held what you seek to hasten, the matter would already have been settled between me and you."
قل لو ان عندي ما تستعجلون به لقضي الامر بيني وبينكمGod knows best the wrongdoers.
والله اعلم بالظلمينHe holds the keys of what escapes the senses: none knows them, save Him.
وعنده مفاتح الغيب لا يعلمها الا هوAnd He knows what is on land and in the sea.
ويعلم ما في البر والبحرNo leaf falls but He knows it; no grain, in the darknesses of the earth, nothing moist or dry, that is not in a clear register.
وما تسقط من ورقه الا يعلمها ولا حبه في ظلمت الارض ولا رطب ولا يابس الا في كتب مبينIt is He who takes you back to Himself, by night, and knows what you accomplish by day, then He resurrects you in it, so that an appointed term may be fulfilled;
وهو الذي يتوفيكم باليل ويعلم ما جرحتم بالنهار ثم يبعثكم فيه ليقضي اجل مسميthen to Him will be your return, and He will inform you of what you used to do.
ثم اليه مرجعكم ثم ينبيكم بما كنتم تعملونHe prevails above His obedient ones,
وهو القاهر فوق عبادهand He sends upon you guardians,
ويرسل عليكم حفظهto the point that, when death comes to one of you, Our envoys take him back [to Him], never failing.
حتي اذا جا احدكم الموت توفته رسلنا وهم لا يفرطونThen they are returned to God, their true nearest Guarantor.
ثم ردوا الي الله موليهم الحقIs it not to Him that judgment belongs?
الا له الحكمHe is the swiftest of those who take account.
وهو اسرع الحسبينSay: "Who saves you from the darknesses of land and sea?" — you invoke Him humbly and in secret: "If You save us from this, we will certainly be among the grateful."
قل من ينجيكم من ظلمت البر والبحر تدعونه تضرعا وخفيه لين انجينا من هذه لنكونن من الشكرينSay: "God saves you from it, and from every distress; yet you associate [others with Him]."
قل الله ينجيكم منها ومن كل كرب ثم انتم تشركونSay: "He is capable of raising up against you a punishment, from above you or from beneath your feet, or of mixing you into rival factions, and making some of you taste the violence of others."
قل هو القادر علي ان يبعث عليكم عذابا من فوقكم او من تحت ارجلكم او يلبسكم شيعا ويذيق بعضكم باس بعضLook how We diversify the signs, perhaps they will understand.
انظر كيف نصرف الايت لعلهم يفقهونBut your people have denied it, though it is the truth.
وكذب به قومك وهو الحقSay: "I am not, for you, a trustee.
قل لست عليكم بوكيلEvery piece of information has a place of fulfillment,
لكل نبا مستقرand you will soon know."
وسوف تعلمونAnd when you see those who wade into idle talk about Our signs, turn away from them, until they move on to another subject.
واذا رايت الذين يخوضون في ايتنا فاعرض عنهم حتي يخوضوا في حديث غيرهAnd if the Diverter makes you forget, do not remain, after this reminder, with the wrongdoing people.
واما ينسينك الشيطن فلا تقعد بعد الذكري مع القوم الظلمينAnd nothing, of the account of those who guard themselves, is incumbent upon them,
وما علي الذين يتقون من حسابهم من شيexcept a reminder, perhaps they will guard themselves.
ولكن ذكري لعلهم يتقونAnd leave those who have taken their Law for distraction and play, and whom the present life has deceived.
وذر الذين اتخذوا دينهم لعبا ولهوا وغرتهم الحيوه الدنياAnd remind by it, lest a Self be delivered [to ruin] for what it has earned, having, besides God, neither protector nor intercessor;
وذكر به ان تبسل نفس بما كسبت ليس لها من دون الله ولي ولا شفيعand even if it offered every compensation, it would not be accepted from it.
وان تعدل كل عدل لا يوخذ منهاThose are the ones who will have been delivered [to ruin] for what they have earned; they will have a scalding drink and a painful punishment, for having disowned.
اوليك الذين ابسلوا بما كسبوا لهم شراب من حميم وعذاب اليم بما كانوا يكفرونSay: "Should we invoke, besides God, what neither benefits nor harms us, and be turned back on our heels after God has guided us, like one whom the diverters have lured on earth, bewildered,
قل اندعوا من دون الله ما لا ينفعنا ولا يضرنا ونرد علي اعقابنا بعد اذ هدينا الله كالذي استهوته الشيطين في الارض حيرانwhile he has companions who call him to guidance: Come to us?"
له اصحب يدعونه الي الهدي ايتناSay: "The guidance of God, that is the [true] guidance; and we have been commanded to be true to the Guardian of all beings alone, and to maintain the Contact, and to guard ourselves toward Him."
قل ان هدي الله هو الهدي وامرنا لنسلم لرب العلمين وان اقيموا الصلوه واتقوهAnd it is to Him that you will be gathered.
وهو الذي اليه تحشرونIt is He who created the heavens and the earth in truth,
وهو الذي خلق السموت والارض بالحقand the day He says: "Be",
ويوم يقول كنit is.
فيكونHis word is the truth,
قوله الحقand to Him belongs the dominion,
وله الملكthe day the Horn is blown.
يوم ينفخ في الصورKnower of what escapes the senses and of what is manifest,
علم الغيب والشهدهHe is the Wise, the Informed.
وهو الحكيم الخبيرAnd remember when Ibrahim said to his father Azar: "Do you take idols as deities?
واذ قال ابرهيم لابيه ازر اتتخذ اصناما الههI see you indeed, you and your people, in manifest error."
اني اريك وقومك في ضلل مبينThus did We show Ibrahim the sovereign dominion of the heavens and the earth, that he might be among those who possess certainty.
وكذلك نري ابرهيم ملكوت السموت والارض وليكون من الموقنينWhen the night enveloped him, he saw a star; he said: "This is my guardian";
فلما جن عليه اليل را كوكبا قال هذا ربيbut when it disappeared, he said: "I do not love those that disappear."
فلما افل قال لا احب الافلينThen, when he saw the moon rising, he said: "This is my guardian";
فلما را القمر بازغا قال هذا ربيbut when it disappeared, he said: "If my Guardian does not guide me, I will certainly be among the astray people."
فلما افل قال لين لم يهدني ربي لاكونن من القوم الضالينThen, when he saw the sun rising, he said: "This is my guardian, this one is greater";
فلما را الشمس بازغه قال هذا ربي هذا اكبرbut when it disappeared, he said: "O my people! I am clear of what you associate [with Him].
فلما افلت قال يقوم اني بري مما تشركونI have set my direction, without deviation, toward the One who originated the heavens and the earth,
اني وجهت وجهي للذي فطر السموت والارض حنيفاand I am not among those who associate."
وما انا من المشركينAnd his people disputed with him.
وحاجه قومهHe said: "Do you dispute with me about God, when He has guided me?
قال اتحجوني في الله وقد هدينAnd I do not fear what you associate with Him, unless my Guardian wills something.
ولا اخاف ما تشركون به الا ان يشا ربي شياMy Guardian encompasses all things in His knowledge.
وسع ربي كل شي علماWill you not then remember?
افلا تتذكرونAnd how should I fear what you associate [with Him],
وكيف اخاف ما اشركتمwhile you do not fear having associated with God that for which He has sent down upon you no authority?
ولا تخافون انكم اشركتم بالله ما لم ينزل به عليكم سلطناWhich of the two groups, then, is more worthy of security, if you know?"
فاي الفريقين احق بالامن ان كنتم تعلمونThose who have believed and have not mixed their faith with any injustice — those are the ones who have security, and they let themselves be guided.
الذين امنوا ولم يلبسوا ايمنهم بظلم اوليك لهم الامن وهم مهتدونAnd that is Our argument, which We gave to Ibrahim against his people.
وتلك حجتنا اتينها ابرهيم علي قومهWe raise in degrees whom We will.
نرفع درجت من نشاYour Guardian is indeed Wise, All-Knowing.
ان ربك حكيم عليمAnd We gave him Ishaq and Yaacoub;
ووهبنا له اسحق ويعقوبWe guided them both.
كلا هديناAnd Nuh, We had guided him before;
ونوحا هدينا من قبلand among his descendants, Dawud, Sulayman, Ayyub, Youssof, Moussa, and Harun.
ومن ذريته داود وسليمن وايوب ويوسف وموسي وهرونThus do We recompense those who do good.
وكذلك نجزي المحسنينAnd Zakariya, Yahya, Issa, and Ilyas —
وزكريا ويحيي وعيسي والياسall are among the righteous.
كل من الصلحينAnd Isma'il, Al-Yasa', Younes, and Lut —
واسمعيل واليسع ويونس ولوطاand all of them, We favored above all beings.
وكلا فضلنا علي العلمينAnd among their ancestors, their descendants, and their brothers —
ومن ابايهم وذريتهم واخونهمWe chose them, and We guided them to a straight path.
واجتبينهم وهدينهم الي صرط مستقيمThat is the guidance of God, by which He guides whom He wills among His obedient ones.
ذلك هدي الله يهدي به من يشا من عبادهAnd had they associated, what they were doing would have collapsed for them.
ولو اشركوا لحبط عنهم ما كانوا يعملونThose are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture, the judgment, and the prophecy.
اوليك الذين اتينهم الكتب والحكم والنبوهSo if these [the disowners] disown it, We have already entrusted it to a people who are not disowners of it.
فان يكفر بها هولا فقد وكلنا بها قوما ليسوا بها بكفرينThose are the ones God has guided; follow, then, their guidance.
اوليك الذين هدي الله فبهديهم اقتدهSay: "I do not ask you, for this, any reward.
قل لا اسلكم عليه اجراIt is only a reminder for all beings."
ان هو الا ذكري للعلمينThey did not measure God with His true measure, when they said: "God has sent nothing down upon a human."
وما قدروا الله حق قدره اذ قالوا ما انزل الله علي بشر من شيSay: "Who sent down the Scripture that Moussa brought, a light and a guidance for mankind,
قل من انزل الكتب الذي جا به موسي نورا وهدي للناسwhich you put on parchments, showing some and hiding much —
تجعلونه قراطيس تبدونها وتخفون كثيراand you were taught what you did not know, neither you nor your ancestors?" Say: "God";
وعلمتم ما لم تعلموا انتم ولا اباوكم قل اللهthen leave them, in their vain talk, to amuse themselves.
ثم ذرهم في خوضهم يلعبونAnd here is a Scripture We have sent down, blessed, confirming what precedes it, so that you may warn the metropolis of cities and those around it.
وهذا كتب انزلنه مبارك مصدق الذي بين يديه ولتنذر ام القري ومن حولهاThose who believe in the last life believe in it, and they are watchful over their Contact.
والذين يومنون بالاخره يومنون به وهم علي صلاتهم يحافظونWho is then more unjust than one who invents a lie against God, or says: "It has been revealed to me", when nothing has been revealed to him, and one who says: "I will send down the like of what God has sent down"?
ومن اظلم ممن افتري علي الله كذبا او قال اوحي الي ولم يوح اليه شي ومن قال سانزل مثل ما انزل اللهAnd if you could see, when the wrongdoers are in the throes of death, and the Agents stretch out their hands: "Bring forth your Self.
ولو تري اذ الظلمون في غمرت الموت والمليكه باسطوا ايديهم اخرجوا انفسكمToday, you will be recompensed with the punishment of humiliation, for having said about God other than the truth, and for having been arrogant before His signs."
اليوم تجزون عذاب الهون بما كنتم تقولون علي الله غير الحق وكنتم عن ايته تستكبرونHere you have come to Us alone, as We created you the first time, and you have left behind what We had entrusted you with;
ولقد جيتمونا فردي كما خلقنكم اول مره وتركتم ما خولنكم ورا ظهوركمand We do not see with you your intercessors, whom you claimed to be associates among you.
وما نري معكم شفعاكم الذين زعمتم انهم فيكم شركواThe bonds between you are indeed severed, and what you claimed has strayed away from you.
لقد تقطع بينكم وضل عنكم ما كنتم تزعمونGod is indeed He who splits open the seed and the kernel.
ان الله فالق الحب والنويHe brings forth the living from the dead, and He brings forth the dead from the living.
يخرج الحي من الميت ومخرج الميت من الحيThat is God.
ذلكم اللهHow then can you be turned away?
فاني توفكونHe who splits open the dawn, and who made the night a rest,
فالق الاصباح وجعل اليل سكناand of the sun and the moon, a reckoning.
والشمس والقمر حسباناThat is the measure set by the All-Powerful, the All-Knowing.
ذلك تقدير العزيز العليمAnd it is He who made for you the stars, so that you might guide yourselves by them in the darknesses of land and sea.
وهو الذي جعل لكم النجوم لتهتدوا بها في ظلمت البر والبحرWe have indeed detailed the signs for a people who know.
قد فصلنا الايت لقوم يعلمونAnd it is He who brought you forth from a single Self — then a dwelling and a repository.
وهو الذي انشاكم من نفس وحده فمستقر ومستودعWe have indeed detailed the signs for a people who understand.
قد فصلنا الايت لقوم يفقهونAnd it is He who sent down water from the sky, and We brought forth by it the vegetation of every kind, and We brought forth from it a greenery, from which We bring forth grain in clustered ears, and, from the palm tree, from its spathe, clusters within reach, and gardens of vines, the olive and the pomegranate, resembling and not resembling.
وهو الذي انزل من السما ما فاخرجنا به نبات كل شي فاخرجنا منه خضرا نخرج منه حبا متراكبا ومن النخل من طلعها قنوان دانيه وجنت من اعناب والزيتون والرمان مشتبها وغير متشبهLook at its fruit, when it bears fruit, and its ripening.
انظروا الي ثمره اذا اثمر وينعهThere are surely signs in that for a people who believe.
ان في ذلكم لايت لقوم يومنونAnd they made, of the Occulted, associates to God, though He created them;
وجعلوا لله شركا الجن وخلقهمand they falsely attributed to Him, without any knowledge, sons and daughters.
وخرقوا له بنين وبنت بغير علمGlory be to Him! He is far above what they describe.
سبحنه وتعلي عما يصفونUnprecedented Creator of the heavens and the earth.
بديع السموت والارضHow would He have a child, when He has no companion,
اني يكون له ولد ولم تكن له صحبهand He created every thing,
وخلق كل شيand He is All-Knowing of all things?
وهو بكل شي عليمThat is God, your Guardian.
ذلكم الله ربكمThere is no deity but Him,
لا اله الا هوCreator of every thing;
خلق كل شيobey Him, then.
فاعبدوهHe is, over all things, a trustee.
وهو علي كل شي وكيلSights do not reach Him,
لا تدركه الابصرbut He reaches sights.
وهو يدرك الابصرHe is the Subtle, the Informed.
وهو اللطيف الخبيرInsights have indeed come to you from your Guardian.
قد جاكم بصاير من ربكمWhoever sees clearly, it is for himself; and whoever remains blind, it is to his own detriment.
فمن ابصر فلنفسه ومن عمي فعليهاAnd I am not, for you, a guardian.
وما انا عليكم بحفيظAnd thus do We diversify the signs; and so that they say: "You have studied [all this]", and so that We may make it clear for a people who know.
وكذلك نصرف الايت وليقولوا درست ولنبينه لقوم يعلمونFollow what is revealed to you from your Guardian.
اتبع ما اوحي اليك من ربكThere is no deity but Him,
لا اله الا هوand turn away from those who associate.
واعرض عن المشركينHad God willed, they would not have associated.
ولو شا الله ما اشركواAnd We have not made you their guardian,
وما جعلنك عليهم حفيظاand you are not for them a trustee.
وما انت عليهم بوكيلAnd do not insult those they invoke besides God, lest they insult God out of hostility, without knowledge.
ولا تسبوا الذين يدعون من دون الله فيسبوا الله عدوا بغير علمThus have We embellished, for every community, its deeds;
كذلك زينا لكل امه عملهمthen to their Guardian will be their return, and He will inform them of what they used to do.
ثم الي ربهم مرجعهم فينبيهم بما كانوا يعملونAnd they swore by God, with the utmost strength of their oaths, that if a sign came to them, they would certainly believe in it.
واقسموا بالله جهد ايمنهم لين جاتهم ايه ليومنن بهاSay: "The signs are only with God";
قل انما الايت عند اللهand what makes you perceive
وما يشعركمthat, even coming, they would not believe in it?
انها اذا جات لا يومنونAnd We turn about their Consciences and their sights, as they did not believe in it the first time, and We leave them, in their excess, to wander blindly.
ونقلب افدتهم وابصرهم كما لم يومنوا به اول مره ونذرهم في طغينهم يعمهونAnd even had We sent down to them the Agents, and the dead had spoken to them, and We had gathered before them everything, face to face, they would not have believed, unless God willed it;
ولو اننا نزلنا اليهم المليكه وكلمهم الموتي وحشرنا عليهم كل شي قبلا ما كانوا ليومنوا الا ان يشا اللهbut most of them are ignorant.
ولكن اكثرهم يجهلونAnd thus have We assigned to every prophet an enemy: the diverters among humans and the Occulted, who inspire one another with embellished speech, by deception.
وكذلك جعلنا لكل نبي عدوا شيطين الانس والجن يوحي بعضهم الي بعض زخرف القول غروراAnd had your Guardian willed, they would not have done it;
ولو شا ربك ما فعلوهleave them, then, and what they invent.
فذرهم وما يفترونAnd [this,] so that the Consciences of those who do not believe in the last life may incline toward it, and that they may be satisfied with it, and commit what they are to commit.
ولتصغي اليه افده الذين لا يومنون بالاخره وليرضوه وليقترفوا ما هم مقترفونShould I then seek a judge other than God, when it is He who sent down to you the Scripture, detailed?
افغير الله ابتغي حكما وهو الذي انزل اليكم الكتب مفصلاAnd those to whom We gave the Scripture know that it was sent down from your Guardian in truth;
والذين اتينهم الكتب يعلمون انه منزل من ربك بالحقso never be among those who doubt.
فلا تكونن من الممترينAnd the word of your Guardian has been fulfilled, in truth and in justice.
وتمت كلمت ربك صدقا وعدلاNo [force] can change His words,
لا مبدل لكلمتهand He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
وهو السميع العليمAnd if you obey most of those on the earth, they will lead you astray from the path of God.
وان تطع اكثر من في الارض يضلوك عن سبيل اللهThey follow nothing but conjecture,
ان يتبعون الا الظنand they do nothing but engage in baseless guesswork.
وان هم الا يخرصونYour Guardian knows best who strays from His path,
ان ربك هو اعلم من يضل عن سبيلهand He knows best those who let themselves be guided.
وهو اعلم بالمهتدينEat, then, of that over which the name of God has been mentioned, if you are believers in His signs.
فكلوا مما ذكر اسم الله عليه ان كنتم بايته مومنينAnd what is with you that you should not eat of that over which the name of God has been mentioned, when He has detailed for you what He has forbidden you, except what you are compelled to?
وما لكم الا تاكلوا مما ذكر اسم الله عليه وقد فصل لكم ما حرم عليكم الا ما اضطررتم اليهAnd many lead [others] astray by their emotions, without knowledge.
وان كثيرا ليضلون باهوايهم بغير علمYour Guardian knows best those who cross the limits.
ان ربك هو اعلم بالمعتدينAnd forsake transgression, apparent and hidden.
وذروا ظهر الاثم وباطنهThose who acquire transgression will be recompensed for what they used to commit.
ان الذين يكسبون الاثم سيجزون بما كانوا يقترفونAnd do not eat of that over which the name of God has not been mentioned: it is surely an overstepping.
ولا تاكلوا مما لم يذكر اسم الله عليه وانه لفسقAnd the diverters surely inspire their allies to argue with you;
وان الشيطين ليوحون الي اوليايهم ليجدلوكمand if you obeyed them, you would surely be among those who associate.
وان اطعتموهم انكم لمشركونIs he who was dead, and to whom We gave life, and for whom We made a light with which he walks among people, like him whose likeness is to be in darknesses, unable to emerge from them?
اومن كان ميتا فاحيينه وجعلنا له نورا يمشي به في الناس كمن مثله في الظلمت ليس بخارج منهاThus were embellished, for those who disown, the deeds they used to do.
كذلك زين للكفرين ما كانوا يعملونAnd thus have We placed, in every city, the greatest of its severed, so that they might plot there;
وكذلك جعلنا في كل قريه اكبر مجرميها ليمكروا فيهاbut they plot only against themselves, without perceiving it.
وما يمكرون الا بانفسهم وما يشعرونAnd when a sign comes to them, they say: "We will not believe, until we are given the like of what was given to the messengers of God."
واذا جاتهم ايه قالوا لن نومن حتي نوتي مثل ما اوتي رسل اللهGod knows best where to place His message.
الله اعلم حيث يجعل رسالتهA diminishment before God, and a severe punishment, will befall those who cut themselves off, for having plotted.
سيصيب الذين اجرموا صغار عند الله وعذاب شديد بما كانوا يمكرونWhomever God wants to guide, He opens his chest to being true to God alone;
فمن يرد الله ان يهديه يشرح صدره للاسلمand whomever He wants to lead astray, He makes his chest narrow and constricted, as if he were ascending into the sky.
ومن يرد ان يضله يجعل صدره ضيقا حرجا كانما يصعد في السماThus does God place defilement upon those who do not believe.
كذلك يجعل الله الرجس علي الذين لا يومنونAnd that is the path of your Guardian, straight.
وهذا صرط ربك مستقيماWe have indeed detailed the signs for a people who remember.
قد فصلنا الايت لقوم يذكرونThey have the Abode of Peace, with their Guardian,
لهم دار السلم عند ربهمand He is their protector, for what they used to do.
وهو وليهم بما كانوا يعملونAnd the day He gathers them all: "O assembly of the Occulted! you have indeed made much use of humans";
ويوم يحشرهم جميعا يمعشر الجن قد استكثرتم من الانسand their allies among humans will say: "Our Guardian, we enjoyed one another, and we have reached our term, the one You had set for us."
وقال اولياوهم من الانس ربنا استمتع بعضنا ببعض وبلغنا اجلنا الذي اجلت لناHe will say: "The Fire is your abode, you abide therein eternally" — except what God wills.
قال النار مثويكم خلدين فيها الا ما شا اللهYour Guardian is indeed Wise, All-Knowing.
ان ربك حكيم عليمAnd thus do We make the wrongdoers allies to one another, for what they used to earn.
وكذلك نولي بعض الظلمين بعضا بما كانوا يكسبون"O assembly of the Occulted and humans! did messengers from among you not come to you, relating My signs to you and warning you of the meeting of this day of yours?"
يمعشر الجن والانس الم ياتكم رسل منكم يقصون عليكم ايتي وينذرونكم لقا يومكم هذاThey will say: "We bear witness against ourselves";
قالوا شهدنا علي انفسناand the present life deceived them, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disowning.
وغرتهم الحيوه الدنيا وشهدوا علي انفسهم انهم كانوا كفرينThat is because it is not in the nature of your Guardian to annihilate cities unjustly, while their inhabitants were heedless.
ذلك ان لم يكن ربك مهلك القري بظلم واهلها غفلونAnd to each, degrees, according to what they did.
ولكل درجت مما عملواAnd your Guardian is not heedless of what they do.
وما ربك بغفل عما يعملونAnd your Guardian is self-sufficient, possessor of benevolence.
وربك الغني ذو الرحمهIf He wills, He makes you disappear, and He makes succeed after you what He wills, as He brought you forth from the descendants of another people.
ان يشا يذهبكم ويستخلف من بعدكم ما يشا كما انشاكم من ذريه قوم اخرينWhat is promised to you will surely come,
ان ما توعدون لاتand you will not be able to render [Him] powerless.
وما انتم بمعجزينSay: "O my people! act according to your position; I too am acting.
قل يقوم اعملوا علي مكانتكم اني عاملYou will soon know to whom will belong the happy end of the abode.
فسوف تعلمون من تكون له عقبه الدارThe wrongdoers indeed do not succeed."
انه لا يفلح الظلمونAnd they assigned to God, of what He scattered as crops and cattle, a share, saying: "This is for God" — according to their claim — "and this is for our associates";
وجعلوا لله مما ذرا من الحرث والانعم نصيبا فقالوا هذا لله بزعمهم وهذا لشركايناand what is destined for their associates does not reach God,
فما كان لشركايهم فلا يصل الي اللهwhile what is destined for God, that reaches their associates.
وما كان لله فهو يصل الي شركايهمHow evil is what they decide!
سا ما يحكمونAnd thus have their associates embellished, for many of the associators, the killing of their children, so as to ruin them and confuse their Law for them.
وكذلك زين لكثير من المشركين قتل اولدهم شركاوهم ليردوهم وليلبسوا عليهم دينهمAnd had God willed, they would not have done it;
ولو شا الله ما فعلوهleave them, then, and what they invent.
فذرهم وما يفترونAnd they said: "This is cattle and crops forbidden: none shall eat of them, except whom we wish" — according to their claim — "and cattle whose backs are made forbidden", and cattle over which they do not mention the name of God, in invention against Him.
وقالوا هذه انعم وحرث حجر لا يطعمها الا من نشا بزعمهم وانعم حرمت ظهورها وانعم لا يذكرون اسم الله عليها افترا عليهHe will recompense them for what they used to invent.
سيجزيهم بما كانوا يفترونAnd they said: "What is in the belly of this cattle is reserved exclusively for our males, and forbidden to our wives";
وقالوا ما في بطون هذه الانعم خالصه لذكورنا ومحرم علي ازوجناbut if it is a stillborn, they all share in it.
وان يكن ميته فهم فيه شركاHe will recompense them for their attribution.
سيجزيهم وصفهمHe is indeed Wise, All-Knowing.
انه حكيم عليمThey are indeed losers, those who killed their children out of foolishness, without knowledge, and who forbade what God had provided them as sustenance, in invention against God.
قد خسر الذين قتلوا اولدهم سفها بغير علم وحرموا ما رزقهم الله افترا علي اللهThey went astray, and they did not let themselves be guided.
قد ضلوا وما كانوا مهتدينAnd it is He who brought forth gardens, trellised and untrellised, as well as the palm tree and crops, of varied produce, and the olive and the pomegranate, resembling and not resembling.
وهو الذي انشا جنت معروشت وغير معروشت والنخل والزرع مختلفا اكله والزيتون والرمان متشبها وغير متشبهEat of its fruit, when it bears fruit, and pay its due, on the day of its harvest,
كلوا من ثمره اذا اثمر واتوا حقه يوم حصادهbut do not waste:
ولا تسرفواHe indeed does not love the wasteful.
انه لا يحب المسرفينAnd among the cattle, there are the beasts of burden and those of the fleece.
ومن الانعم حموله وفرشاEat of what God has provided you as sustenance,
كلوا مما رزقكم اللهand do not follow the footsteps of the Diverter:
ولا تتبعوا خطوت الشيطنhe is indeed for you a manifest enemy.
انه لكم عدو مبينEight [head], in pairs:
ثمنيه ازوجof sheep, two, and of goats, two.
من الضان اثنين ومن المعز اثنينSay: "Is it the two males He has forbidden, or the two females, or what the wombs of the two females contain?
قل الذكرين حرم ام الانثيين اما اشتملت عليه ارحام الانثيينInform me with full knowledge, if you are truthful."
نبوني بعلم ان كنتم صدقينAnd of camelids, two, and of cattle, two.
ومن الابل اثنين ومن البقر اثنينSay: "Is it the two males He has forbidden, or the two females, or what the wombs of the two females contain?
قل الذكرين حرم ام الانثيين اما اشتملت عليه ارحام الانثيينOr were you witnesses, when God prescribed this to you?"
ام كنتم شهدا اذ وصيكم الله بهذاWho is then more unjust than one who invents a lie against God, to lead people astray without knowledge?
فمن اظلم ممن افتري علي الله كذبا ليضل الناس بغير علمGod indeed does not guide the wrongdoing people.
ان الله لا يهدي القوم الظلمينSay: "I find, in what has been revealed to me, nothing forbidden to one who wants to eat it, except that it be a dead animal, or spilled blood, or the flesh of swine — for that is a defilement —
قل لا اجد في ما اوحي الي محرما علي طاعم يطعمه الا ان يكون ميته او دما مسفوحا او لحم خنزير فانه رجسor an overstepping consecrated to other than God.
او فسقا اهل لغير الله بهBut whoever is compelled to it, without being rebellious or crossing the limits — your Guardian is indeed Most-Forgiving, Benevolent."
فمن اضطر غير باغ ولا عاد فان ربك غفور رحيمAnd to the Reoriented, We forbade every [animal] with an uncloven hoof: and of cattle and sheep,
وعلي الذين هادوا حرمنا كل ذي ظفر ومن البقر والغنمWe forbade them their fats, except what their backs carry, or the entrails, or what is mixed with a bone.
حرمنا عليهم شحومهما الا ما حملت ظهورهما او الحوايا او ما اختلط بعظمThus did We recompense them for their aggression,
ذلك جزينهم ببغيهمand We are surely truthful.
وانا لصدقونIf they deny you, say then: "Your Guardian is possessor of a vast benevolence,
فان كذبوك فقل ربكم ذو رحمه وسعهand His rigor will not be turned away from the severed people."
ولا يرد باسه عن القوم المجرمينThose who have associated will say: "Had God willed, we would not have associated, nor would our ancestors, and we would not have forbidden anything."
سيقول الذين اشركوا لو شا الله ما اشركنا ولا اباونا ولا حرمنا من شيThus did those before them deny, until they tasted Our rigor.
كذلك كذب الذين من قبلهم حتي ذاقوا باسناSay: "Do you have any knowledge, that you could bring forth for us?
قل هل عندكم من علم فتخرجوه لناYou follow nothing but conjecture,
ان تتبعون الا الظنand you do nothing but engage in baseless guesswork."
وان انتم الا تخرصونSay: "To God belongs the conclusive argument.
قل فلله الحجه البلغهHad He willed, He would have guided you all."
فلو شا لهديكم اجمعينSay: "Bring your witnesses, those who testify that God has forbidden this."
قل هلم شهداكم الذين يشهدون ان الله حرم هذاIf they testify, do not testify with them,
فان شهدوا فلا تشهد معهمand do not follow the emotions of those who have denied Our signs, and of those who do not believe in the last life, and who set up equals to their Guardian.
ولا تتبع اهوا الذين كذبوا بايتنا والذين لا يومنون بالاخره وهم بربهم يعدلونSay: "Come, let me recite what your Guardian has forbidden you: do not associate anything with Him;
قل تعالوا اتل ما حرم ربكم عليكم الا تشركوا به شياbeneficence toward both parents;
وبالولدين احسناand do not kill your children out of poverty —
ولا تقتلوا اولدكم من املقit is We who provide for you, and for them;
نحن نرزقكم واياهمand do not approach indecencies, apparent or hidden;
ولا تقربوا الفوحش ما ظهر منها وما بطنand do not kill the Self that God has made inviolable, except by right;
ولا تقتلوا النفس التي حرم الله الا بالحقthat is what He has recommended to you, perhaps you will reason.
ذلكم وصيكم به لعلكم تعقلونAnd do not approach the goods of the orphan, except in the best way, until he reaches his full maturity;
ولا تقربوا مال اليتيم الا بالتي هي احسن حتي يبلغ اشدهand give full measure and full weight, with equity —
واوفوا الكيل والميزان بالقسطWe impose upon no Self except its capacity —
لا نكلف نفسا الا وسعهاand when you speak, be just, even toward a relative;
واذا قلتم فاعدلوا ولو كان ذا قربيand keep the engagement of God:
وبعهد الله اوفواthat is what He has recommended to you, perhaps you will remember.
ذلكم وصيكم به لعلكم تذكرونAnd: this is My path, straight; follow it, then,
وان هذا صرطي مستقيما فاتبعوهand do not follow the [other] paths, which would scatter you away from His path:
ولا تتبعوا السبل فتفرق بكم عن سبيلهthat is what He has recommended to you, perhaps you will guard yourselves.
ذلكم وصيكم به لعلكم تتقونThen We gave Moussa the Scripture, as a fulfillment toward him who does good, as a detail of every thing, as a guidance and a benevolence, that they might believe in the meeting with their Guardian.
ثم اتينا موسي الكتب تماما علي الذي احسن وتفصيلا لكل شي وهدي ورحمه لعلهم بلقا ربهم يومنونAnd here is a Scripture We have sent down, blessed; follow it, then, and guard yourselves, perhaps benevolence will be shown to you — lest you say: "The Scripture was sent down only upon two groups before us, and we were indeed heedless of their study", or lest you say: "Had the Scripture been sent down upon us, we would have been better guided than they."
وهذا كتب انزلنه مبارك فاتبعوه واتقوا لعلكم ترحمون ان تقولوا انما انزل الكتب علي طايفتين من قبلنا وان كنا عن دراستهم لغفلين او تقولوا لو انا انزل علينا الكتب لكنا اهدي منهمA clear proof has thus come to you from your Guardian, as well as a guidance and a benevolence.
فقد جاكم بينه من ربكم وهدي ورحمهWho is then more unjust than one who has denied the signs of God and turned away from them?
فمن اظلم ممن كذب بايت الله وصدف عنهاWe will recompense those who turn away from Our signs with the worst punishment, for having turned away from them.
سنجزي الذين يصدفون عن ايتنا سو العذاب بما كانوا يصدفونDo they await only that the Agents come to them, or that your Guardian come, or that some signs of your Guardian come?
هل ينظرون الا ان تاتيهم المليكه او ياتي ربك او ياتي بعض ايت ربكOn the day certain signs of your Guardian come, the faith of a Self will not benefit it, if it did not believe before, or acquired, in its faith, no good.
يوم ياتي بعض ايت ربك لا ينفع نفسا ايمنها لم تكن امنت من قبل او كسبت في ايمنها خيراSay: "Wait:
قل انتظرواwe are indeed waiting."
انا منتظرونThose who have divided their Law and become sects, you are in no way linked to them.
ان الذين فرقوا دينهم وكانوا شيعا لست منهم في شيTheir matter rests only with God,
انما امرهم الي اللهthen He will inform them of what they used to do.
ثم ينبيهم بما كانوا يفعلونWhoever comes with the good deed has a right to ten times its equivalent,
من جا بالحسنه فله عشر امثالهاand whoever comes with the evil deed is recompensed only with its equivalent, without being wronged.
ومن جا بالسييه فلا يجزي الا مثلها وهم لا يظلمونSay: "My Guardian has guided me to a straight path,
قل انني هديني ربي الي صرط مستقيمan upright Law, the doctrine of Ibrahim, wholly turned toward God;
دينا قيما مله ابرهيم حنيفاand he was not among those who associate."
وما كان من المشركينSay: "My Contact, my beneficent commitment, my life, and my death belong to God, Guardian of all beings; no associate to Him.
قل ان صلاتي ونسكي ومحياي ومماتي لله رب العلمين لا شريك لهAnd thus have I been commanded,
وبذلك امرتand I am the first of those true to God alone."
وانا اول المسلمينSay: "Should I seek a Guardian other than God, when He is the Guardian of every thing?"
قل اغير الله ابغي ربا وهو رب كل شيAnd every Self acquires [evil] only to its own detriment,
ولا تكسب كل نفس الا عليهاand no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another.
ولا تزر وازره وزر اخريThen to your Guardian will be your return, and He will inform you of what you used to differ over.
ثم الي ربكم مرجعكم فينبيكم بما كنتم فيه تختلفونAnd it is He who made you successors on the earth, and raised some of you above others in degrees, so as to test you in what He has given you.
وهو الذي جعلكم خليف الارض ورفع بعضكم فوق بعض درجت ليبلوكم في ما اتيكمYour Guardian is indeed swift in sanction,
ان ربك سريع العقابand He is surely Most-Forgiving, Benevolent.
وانه لغفور رحيم
