Sourate Al-Munafiqun (63) original (rasm)

In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Benevolent. When the hypocrites come to you, they say: We testify that you are indeed the messenger of God.i 1

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم اذا جاك المنفقون قالوا نشهد انك لرسول الله

And God knows that you are indeed His messenger. 1

والله يعلم انك لرسوله

And God testifies that the hypocrites are surely liars. 1

والله يشهد ان المنفقين لكذبون

They have taken their oaths as a shield and turned [people] away from the way of God. 2

اتخذوا ايمنهم جنه فصدوا عن سبيل الله

How evil is what they used to do! 2

انهم سا ما كانوا يعملون

That is because they believed, then denied; so a seal was set upon their cores, and they do not understand. 3

ذلك بانهم امنوا ثم كفروا فطبع علي قلوبهم فهم لا يفقهون

And when you see them, their appearance pleases you, 4

واذا رايتهم تعجبك اجسامهم

and if they speak, you listen to their speech; they are like propped-up pieces of wood. 4

وان يقولوا تسمع لقولهم كانهم خشب مسنده

They think every shout is against them. 4

يحسبون كل صيحه عليهم

They are the enemy. 4

هم العدو

So beware of them. 4

فاحذرهم

May God destroy them! 4

قتلهم الله

How are they deluded! 4

اني يوفكون

And when it is said to them: Come, that the messenger of God may ask forgiveness for you, they turn their heads aside, and you see them withdrawing while they are arrogant. 5

واذا قيل لهم تعالوا يستغفر لكم رسول الله لووا روسهم ورايتهم يصدون وهم مستكبرون

It is the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them. 6

سوا عليهم استغفرت لهم ام لم تستغفر لهم

God will never forgive them. 6

لن يغفر الله لهم

Indeed, God does not guide the defiantly disobedient people. 6

ان الله لا يهدي القوم الفسقين

They are the ones who say: Do not spend on those who are with the messenger of God until they disperse. 7

هم الذين يقولون لا تنفقوا علي من عند رسول الله حتي ينفضوا

But to God belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth, 7

ولله خزاين السموت والارض

but the hypocrites do not understand. 7

ولكن المنفقين لا يفقهون

They say: If we return to the Capital, the more honorable will surely expel the more despicable therefrom. 8

يقولون لين رجعنا الي المدينه ليخرجن الاعز منها الاذل

But to God belongs honor, and to His messenger, and to the believers, 8

ولله العزه ولرسوله وللمومنين

but the hypocrites do not know. 8

ولكن المنفقين لا يعلمون

O you who believe! Let not your wealth or your children distract you from the remembrance of God. 9

يايها الذين امنوا لا تلهكم امولكم ولا اولدكم عن ذكر الله

And whoever does that — those are the losers. 9

ومن يفعل ذلك فاوليك هم الخسرون

And spend from what We have provided you before death comes to one of you, and he says: My Guardian, if only You would delay me for a short term, that I might give charity and be among the righteous. 10

وانفقوا من ما رزقنكم من قبل ان ياتي احدكم الموت فيقول رب لولا اخرتني الي اجل قريب فاصدق واكن من الصلحين

But God will never delay a Self when its term has come. 11

ولن يوخر الله نفسا اذا جا اجلها

And God is Well Acquainted with what you do. 11

والله خبير بما تعملون
