Sourate At-Taghabun (64) original (rasm)

In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Benevolent. Whatever is in the heavens and on the earth glorifies God.i 1

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم يسبح لله ما في السموت وما في الارض

To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs the praise, 1

له الملك وله الحمد

and He is Powerful over all things. 1

وهو علي كل شي قدير

It is He who created you, and among you is one who denies, and among you is a believer. 2

هو الذي خلقكم فمنكم كافر ومنكم مومن

And God is Perfectly Seeing of what you do. 2

والله بما تعملون بصير

He created the heavens and the earth in truth, and formed you, and made your forms excellent, 3

خلق السموت والارض بالحق وصوركم فاحسن صوركم

and to Him is the final return. 3

واليه المصير

He knows what is in the heavens and the earth, and He knows what you conceal and what you reveal. 4

يعلم ما في السموت والارض ويعلم ما تسرون وما تعلنون

And God is Knowing of what is within the breasts. 4

والله عليم بذات الصدور

Has the news not come to you of those who denied before, and tasted the evil consequence of their affair, and for them is a painful punishment? 5

الم ياتكم نبوا الذين كفروا من قبل فذاقوا وبال امرهم ولهم عذاب اليم

That is because their messengers used to come to them with clear proofs, but they said: Shall mere humans guide us? 6

ذلك بانه كانت تاتيهم رسلهم بالبينت فقالوا ابشر يهدوننا

So they denied and turned away, but God is Self-Sufficient, 6

فكفروا وتولوا واستغني الله

and God is Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy. 6

والله غني حميد

Those who deny claim that they will never be resurrected. 7

زعم الذين كفروا ان لن يبعثوا

Say: Yes, by my Guardian, you will surely be resurrected; then you will surely be informed of what you did. 7

قل بلي وربي لتبعثن ثم لتنبون بما عملتم

And that is easy for God. 7

وذلك علي الله يسير

So believe in God and His messenger, and the light which We have sent down. 8

فامنوا بالله ورسوله والنور الذي انزلنا

And God is Well Acquainted with what you do. 8

والله بما تعملون خبير

The Day He will gather you for the Day of Gathering — that is the Day of Mutual Loss. 9

يوم يجمعكم ليوم الجمع ذلك يوم التغابن

And whoever believes in God and does righteousness, He will remove from him his misdeeds and admit him into gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein forever. 9

ومن يومن بالله ويعمل صلحا يكفر عنه سياته ويدخله جنت تجري من تحتها الانهر خلدين فيها ابدا

That is the great success. 9

ذلك الفوز العظيم

But those who denied and denied Our signs — those are the companions of the Fire, abiding therein forever, 10

والذين كفروا وكذبوا بايتنا اوليك اصحب النار خلدين فيها

and what an evil destination! 10

وبيس المصير

No calamity strikes except by the permission of God. 11

ما اصاب من مصيبه الا باذن الله

And whoever believes in God — He guides his core, 11

ومن يومن بالله يهد قلبه

and God is Knowing of all things. 11

والله بكل شي عليم

And obey God, and obey the messenger. 12

واطيعوا الله واطيعوا الرسول

But if you turn away, then upon Our messenger is only the clear conveyance. 12

فان توليتم فانما علي رسولنا البلغ المبين

God — there is no deity except Him. 13

الله لا اله الا هو

And upon God let the believers rely. 13

وعلي الله فليتوكل المومنون

O you who believe! Indeed, among your spouses and your children is an enemy to you, so beware of them. 14

يايها الذين امنوا ان من ازوجكم واولدكم عدوا لكم فاحذروهم

But if you pardon, overlook, and forgive — then indeed God is Forgiving, benevolent. 14

وان تعفوا وتصفحوا وتغفروا فان الله غفور رحيم

Your wealth and your children are but a trial, 15

انما امولكم واولدكم فتنه

and with God is a great reward. 15

والله عنده اجر عظيم

So guard yourselves before God as much as you are able, and listen, and obey, and spend — it will be good for your own Selves.i 16

فاتقوا الله ما استطعتم واسمعوا واطيعوا وانفقوا خيرا لانفسكم

And whoever is protected from the greed of his own Self — those are the successful. 16

ومن يوق شح نفسه فاوليك هم المفلحون

If you lend God a good loan, He will multiply it for you and forgive you, 17

ان تقرضوا الله قرضا حسنا يضعفه لكم ويغفر لكم

and God is Appreciative, Thoughtful.i 17

والله شكور حليم

He is the Knower of what escapes the senses and of what is manifest,i 18

علم الغيب والشهده

the All-Powerful, the Wise.i 18
