Sourate Al-Jinn (72) original (rasm)

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Say, "It has been revealed to me that a group of the Occulted listened, and they said: Indeed, we have heard an amazing recitation, that guides to righteousness, so we have believed in it, and we will never associate anyone with our Guardian.i 2

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم قل اوحي الي انه استمع نفر من الجن فقالوا انا سمعنا قرانا عجبا يهدي الي الرشد فامنا به ولن نشرك بربنا احدا

And that exalted is the majesty of our Guardian; He has not taken a wife nor a son. 3

وانه تعلي جد ربنا ما اتخذ صحبه ولا ولدا

And that the foolish among us used to speak, against God, an excessive transgression. 4

وانه كان يقول سفيهنا علي الله شططا

And that we thought that mankind and the Occulted would never speak against God a lie.i 5

وانا ظننا ان لن تقول الانس والجن علي الله كذبا

And that there were men among mankind who sought refuge in men among the Occulted, and they only increased them in confusion.i 6

وانه كان رجال من الانس يعوذون برجال من الجن فزادوهم رهقا

And that they thought, as you thought, that God would never raise anyone up. 7

وانهم ظنوا كما ظننتم ان لن يبعث الله احدا

And that we touched the sky and found it filled with mighty guards and burning stars. 8

وانا لمسنا السما فوجدنها مليت حرسا شديدا وشهبا

And that we used to sit in stations for listening, but whoever listens now will find a burning star lying in wait for him. 9

وانا كنا نقعد منها مقعد للسمع فمن يستمع الان يجد له شهابا رصدا

And that we do not know whether evil is intended for those on earth, or whether their Guardian intends for them a right course. 10

وانا لا ندري اشر اريد بمن في الارض ام اراد بهم ربهم رشدا

And that among us are the righteous, and among us are others not so: 11

وانا منا الصلحون ومنا دون ذلك

we were of divided ways. 11

كنا طرايق قددا

And that we became certain that we would never cause failure to God upon earth, nor by fleeing could we cause Him failure. 12

وانا ظننا ان لن نعجز الله في الارض ولن نعجزه هربا

And that when we heard the guidance, we believed in it, 13

وانا لما سمعنا الهدي امنا به

and whoever believes in his Guardian will fear neither loss nor injustice. 13

فمن يومن بربه فلا يخاف بخسا ولا رهقا

And that among us are those true to God alone, and among us are the unjust: 14

وانا منا المسلمون ومنا القسطون

and whoever is true to God alone, those have sought right conduct,i 14

فمن اسلم فاوليك تحروا رشدا

but as for the unjust, they became firewood for Jahannam. 15

واما القسطون فكانوا لجهنم حطبا

And if they had remained straight on the path, We would have given them abundant water to drink, that We might test them thereby. 17

والو استقموا علي الطريقه لاسقينهم ما غدقا لنفتنهم فيه

And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Guardian, He will put him into an ever-increasing punishment. 17

ومن يعرض عن ذكر ربه يسلكه عذابا صعدا

And that the places of prostration belong to God, so do not invoke besides God anyone. 18

وان المسجد لله فلا تدعوا مع الله احدا

And that when the obedient ones one of God stood up calling upon Him, they almost crowded him in dense multitude. 19

وانه لما قام عبد الله يدعوه كادوا يكونون عليه لبدا

Say, "I only invoke my Guardian and do not associate with Him anyone." 20

قل انما ادعوا ربي ولا اشرك به احدا

Say, "I hold not for you power of harm or right direction." 21

قل اني لا املك لكم ضرا ولا رشدا

Say, "No one can protect me from God, and I will never find besides Him a refuge — except a notification from God and His messages." 23

قل اني لن يجيرني من الله احد ولن اجد من دونه ملتحدا الا بلغا من الله ورسلته

And whoever disobeys God and His Messenger, indeed, for him is the fire of Jahannam, abiding therein forever. 23

ومن يعص الله ورسوله فان له نار جهنم خلدين فيها ابدا

Until, when they see that which they are promised, they will know who is weaker in helpers and less in number. 24

حتي اذا راوا ما يوعدون فسيعلمون من اضعف ناصرا واقل عددا

Say, "I do not know whether what you are promised is near, or whether my Guardian will set for it a distant term." 25

قل ان ادري اقريب ما توعدون ام يجعل له ربي امدا

[He is] Knower of what escapes the senses, and He discloses none of it to anyone, except a messenger He has approved of. He then sends before him and behind him a watch, so that He may know that they have conveyed the messages of their Guardian; and He encompasses whatever is with them and enumerates all things with exactness.i 28

علم الغيب فلا يظهر علي غيبه احدا الا من ارتضي من رسول فانه يسلك من بين يديه ومن خلفه رصدا ليعلم ان قد ابلغوا رسلت ربهم واحاط بما لديهم واحصي كل شي عددا
