Sourate Al-Qiyama (75) original (rasm)

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. I swear by the Day of Appearance, and I swear by the self-reproaching Self.i 2

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم لا اقسم بيوم القيمه ولا اقسم بالنفس اللوامه

Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? Yes indeed! 4

ايحسب الانسن الن نجمع عظامه بلي

We are able to restore even his fingertips. 4

قدرين علي ان نسوي بنانه

But man desires to persist in transgression before him. 5

بل يريد الانسن ليفجر امامه

He asks, "When is the Day of Appearance?"i 6

يسل ايان يوم القيمه

So when the sight is dazzled, and the moon eclipses, and the sun and the moon are joined together, man will say on that Day, "Where is the escape?" 10

فاذا برق البصر وخسف القمر وجمع الشمس والقمر يقول الانسن يوميذ اين المفر

No! There is no refuge. 11

كلا لا وزر

To your Guardian, that Day, is the final place of rest. 12

الي ربك يوميذ المستقر

Man will be informed, that Day, of what he sent forward and left behind. 13

ينبوا الانسن يوميذ بما قدم واخر

Rather, man is, over himself, a clear witness, even if he presents his excuses. 15

بل الانسن علي نفسه بصيره ولو القي معاذيره

Do not move your tongue with it to hasten it; 16

لا تحرك به لسانك لتعجل به

upon Us is its collection and its recitation. 17

ان علينا جمعه وقرانه

then, when We have recited it, follow its recitation; then, indeed, upon Us is its explanation. 19

فاذا قرانه فاتبع قرانه ثم ان علينا بيانه

No indeed! But you love the immediate life, and leave behind the Hereafter. 21

كلا بل تحبون العاجله وتذرون الاخره

Some faces, that Day, will be radiant, looking toward their Guardian. 23

وجوه يوميذ ناضره الي ربها ناظره

And some faces, that Day, will be gloomy, thinking that a great calamity is about to befall them. 25

ووجوه يوميذ باسره تظن ان يفعل بها فاقره

No indeed! When it reaches the collarbones, and it is said, "Who will cure him?" and he becomes certain that it is the parting, and the leg is wound about the leg — to your Guardian, that Day, will be the drive. 30

كلا اذا بلغت التراقي وقيل من راق وظن انه الفراق والتفت الساق بالساق الي ربك يوميذ المساق

For he had not believed, nor made contact,i 31

فلا صدق ولا صلي

but he denied and turned away, 32

ولكن كذب وتولي

then he went to his people, walking in vain pride. 33

ثم ذهب الي اهله يتمطي

Woe to you, and woe! Then woe to you, and woe! 35

اولي لك فاولي ثم اولي لك فاولي

Does man think that he will be left neglected? 36

ايحسب الانسن ان يترك سدي

Was he not a drop of ejected semen? Then he was a clinging clot; then He created and proportioned him, and made of him two mates, the male and the female. 39

الم يك نطفه من مني يمني ثم كان علقه فخلق فسوي فجعل منه الزوجين الذكر والانثي

Is that One not able to give life to the dead? 40

اليس ذلك بقدر علي ان يحي الموتي
