Sourate Al-Inshiqaq (84) original (rasm)

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. When the sky splits open, and obeys its Guardian — and it is obligated to do so —, and when the earth is extended, and casts out what is within it and empties itself, and obeys its Guardian — and it is obligated to do so.i 5

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم اذا السما انشقت واذنت لربها وحقت واذا الارض مدت والقت ما فيها وتخلت واذنت لربها وحقت

O mankind! Indeed, you are laboring toward your Guardian with great exertion and will meet Him. 6

يايها الانسن انك كادح الي ربك كدحا فملقيه

Then as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will be judged with an easy account, and return to his people in joy.i 9

فاما من اوتي كتبه بيمينه فسوف يحاسب حسابا يسيرا وينقلب الي اهله مسرورا

But as for him who is given his record behind his back, he will cry out for destruction, and he will burn in a blazing fire.i 12

واما من اوتي كتبه ورا ظهره فسوف يدعوا ثبورا ويصلي سعيرا

Indeed, he had been joyful among his people. 13

انه كان في اهله مسرورا

Indeed, he thought he would never return. But yes! 15

انه ظن ان لن يحور بلي

Indeed, his Guardian was ever observing him. 15

ان ربه كان به بصيرا

So I swear by the twilight glow, and by the night and what it envelops, and by the moon when it becomes full! You will surely embark upon state after state. 19

فلا اقسم بالشفق واليل وما وسق والقمر اذا اتسق لتركبن طبقا عن طبق

So what is the matter with them that they do not believe? And when the Recitation is read to them, they do not prostrate? 21

فما لهم لا يومنون واذا قري عليهم القران لا يسجدون

Rather, those who reject deny, and God knows best what they hoard. 23

بل الذين كفروا يكذبون والله اعلم بما يوعون

So give them the tidings of a painful punishment, 24

فبشرهم بعذاب اليم

except for those who believe and do righteous deeds; for them is a reward uninterrupted. 25

الا الذين امنوا وعملوا الصلحت لهم اجر غير ممنون
