Sourate Al-Ghashiya (88) original (rasm)

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Has there come to you the account of the Enveloping Event?i 1

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم هل اتيك حديث الغشيه

Some faces, that Day, will be humbled, worn out, exhausted. They will burn in a scorching fire, given drink from a boiling spring. 5

وجوه يوميذ خشعه عامله ناصبه تصلي نارا حاميه تسقي من عين انيه

They will have no food except from a bitter thorny plant, which neither nourishes nor satisfies hunger. 7

ليس لهم طعام الا من ضريع لا يسمن ولا يغني من جوع

Some faces, that Day, will be radiant, pleased with their effort, in an elevated garden, where they will hear no vain talk. 11

وجوه يوميذ ناعمه لسعيها راضيه في جنه عاليه لا تسمع فيها لغيه

Therein is a flowing spring. 12

فيها عين جاريه

Therein are raised couches, and cups set out, and cushions lined up, and carpets spread out. 16

فيها سرر مرفوعه واكواب موضوعه ونمارق مصفوفه وزرابي مبثوثه

Do they not look at the camels, how they were created? And at the sky, how it was raised? And at the mountains, how they were set up? And at the earth, how it was spread out? 20

افلا ينظرون الي الابل كيف خلقت والي السما كيف رفعت والي الجبال كيف نصبت والي الارض كيف سطحت

So remind; you are only a reminder. 21

فذكر انما انت مذكر

You have no power to compel them. 22

لست عليهم بمصيطر

Except one who turns away and rejects the truth — God will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24

الا من تولي وكفر فيعذبه الله العذاب الاكبر

To Us is their return, then upon Us is their reckoning. 26

ان الينا ايابهم ثم ان علينا حسابهم
