And remember when We took your engagement: "You shall not shed your blood, and shall not expel yourselves from your dwellings"; then you acknowledged it, and you are witnesses to it. 2:84

وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَٰقَكُمْ لَا تَسْفِكُونَ دِمَآءَكُمْ وَلَا تُخْرِجُونَ أَنفُسَكُم مِّن دِيَٰرِكُمْ ثُمَّ أَقْرَرْتُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَشْهَدُونَ

Then here you are, nonetheless, killing one another, and expelling a group of your own from their dwellings, banding together against them in transgression and hostility; 2:85

ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ تَقْتُلُونَ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَتُخْرِجُونَ فَرِيقًۭا مِّنكُم مِّن دِيَٰرِهِمْ تَظَٰهَرُونَ عَلَيْهِم بِٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ

Moussa indeed came to you with the clear proofs; then you took the calf [as a deity], after him, and you were unjust. 2:92

وَلَقَدْ جَآءَكُم مُّوسَىٰ بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذْتُمُ ٱلْعِجْلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ وَأَنتُمْ ظَٰلِمُونَ

"Our Guardian, accept this from us; You are, You, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. 2:127

رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّآ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

You are, You, the Ever-Accepter of repentance, full of benevolence. 2:128

إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

You are, You, the All-Powerful, the Wise." 2:129

إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

and so did Yaacoub: "O my sons! God has chosen this Law for you; do not die, then, except being true to Him alone." 2:132

وَيَعْقُوبُ يَٰبَنِىَّ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصْطَفَىٰ لَكُمُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

Say: "Is it you who know best, or God?" 2:140

قُلْ ءَأَنتُمْ أَعْلَمُ أَمِ ٱللَّهُ

And you will not follow their anchor point; 2:145

وَمَآ أَنتَ بِتَابِعٍۢ قِبْلَتَهُمْ

they are a garment for you, and you are a garment for them. 2:187

هُنَّ لِبَاسٌۭ لَّكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لِبَاسٌۭ لَّهُنَّ

And do not unite with them, while you are in residence in the places of prostration. 2:187

وَلَا تُبَٰشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنتُمْ عَٰكِفُونَ فِى ٱلْمَسَٰجِدِ

And do not devour your wealth among yourselves through falsehood, and do not offer it to judges to devour, knowingly and unjustly, a part of the wealth of the people. 2:188

وَلَا تَأْكُلُوٓا۟ أَمْوَٰلَكُم بَيْنَكُم بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ وَتُدْلُوا۟ بِهَآ إِلَى ٱلْحُكَّامِ لِتَأْكُلُوا۟ فَرِيقًۭا مِّنْ أَمْوَٰلِ ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْإِثْمِ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

and you do not know. 2:216

وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

God knows, and you do not know. 2:232

وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

And whatever good you spend, it will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged. 2:272

وَمَا تُنفِقُوا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍۢ يُوَفَّ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تُظْلَمُونَ

You are our Protector; help us, then, against the people who deny-disown." 2:286

أَنتَ مَوْلَىٰنَا فَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

You are, You, the great Bestower. 3:8

إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ

You are, You, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing." 3:35

إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Here you are disputing about that of which you have some knowledge; but why do you dispute about that of which you have no knowledge? 3:66

هَٰٓأَنتُمْ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ حَٰجَجْتُمْ فِيمَا لَكُم بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ فَلِمَ تُحَآجُّونَ فِيمَا لَيْسَ لَكُم بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ

and you do not know. 3:66

وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

O people of the Scripture! why do you deny-disown the signs of God, when you bear witness to them? 3:70

يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَنتُمْ تَشْهَدُونَ

O people of the Scripture! why do you cover the truth with falsehood, and hide the truth, when you know? 3:71

يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَلْبِسُونَ ٱلْحَقَّ بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُونَ ٱلْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

Would he order you to deny-disown, after you have become true to God alone? 3:80

أَيَأْمُرُكُم بِٱلْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

Say: "O people of the Scripture! why do you turn away from the path of God him who has believed, seeking to make it crooked, while you are witnesses to it?" 3:99

قُلْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ تَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًۭا وَأَنتُمْ شُهَدَآءُ

And how would you deny-disown, when the signs of God are recited to you, and His messenger is among you? 3:101

وَكَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ وَأَنتُمْ تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتُ ٱللَّهِ وَفِيكُمْ رَسُولُهُۥ

and do not die except being true to Him alone. 3:102

وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

Here you are, you who love them, while they do not love you, and you believe in the whole of the Scripture. 3:119

هَٰٓأَنتُمْ أُو۟لَآءِ تُحِبُّونَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِبُّونَكُمْ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْكِتَٰبِ كُلِّهِۦ

God indeed helped you at Badr, when you were humble. 3:123

وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِبَدْرٍۢ وَأَنتُمْ أَذِلَّةٌۭ

And do not weaken, and do not grieve: you are the most exalted, if you are believers. 3:139

وَلَا تَهِنُوا۟ وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا۟ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَوْنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

You indeed desired death before meeting it; you have now seen it, and you were looking on. 3:143

وَلَقَدْ كُنتُمْ تَمَنَّوْنَ ٱلْمَوْتَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَلْقَوْهُ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ

It is not for God to leave the believers in the state you are in, without distinguishing the vile from the good, 3:179

مَّا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَذَرَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّىٰ يَمِيزَ ٱلْخَبِيثَ مِنَ ٱلطَّيِّبِ

O you who have believed! do not approach the Contact while intoxicated, until you know what you are saying, nor [after] having soiled yourselves [relieving a need] — except when passing along a way — until you have washed yourselves. 4:43

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنتُمْ سُكَٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَعْلَمُوا۟ مَا تَقُولُونَ وَلَا جُنُبًا إِلَّا عَابِرِى سَبِيلٍ حَتَّىٰ تَغْتَسِلُوا۟

So here you are, who pleaded for them in the present life; but who will plead for them, before God, on the Day of Appearance? Or who will be, for them, a trustee-agent? 4:109

هَٰٓأَنتُمْ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ جَٰدَلْتُمْ عَنْهُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا فَمَن يُجَٰدِلُ ٱللَّهَ عَنْهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ أَم مَّن يَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكِيلًۭا

Lawful for you are the beasts of cattle, except what is recited to you — without permitting yourselves the [land] hunt, during the inviolable months. 5:1

أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّى ٱلصَّيْدِ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ

You are rather humans, among those He created. 5:18

بَلْ أَنتُم بَشَرٌۭ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ

They said: "O Moussa! we will never enter it, as long as they remain there; go, then, you and your Guardian, and fight, both of you; we, we will stay here, sitting." 5:24

قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَآ أَبَدًۭا مَّا دَامُوا۟ فِيهَا فَٱذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَٰتِلَآ إِنَّا هَٰهُنَا قَٰعِدُونَ

and guard yourselves toward God, in whom you believe. 5:88

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنتُم بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ

Will you then cease? 5:91

فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّنتَهُونَ

O you who have believed! do not kill game during the inviolable months. 5:95

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلصَّيْدَ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌۭ

O you who have believed! testimony between you, when death presents itself to one of you, at the time of the testament: two equitable [persons] among you, or two others, outside your circle, if you are traveling on the earth and the calamity of death strikes you. 5:106

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ شَهَٰدَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ حِينَ ٱلْوَصِيَّةِ ٱثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍۢ مِّنكُمْ أَوْ ءَاخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَصَٰبَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ

They will say: "We have no knowledge of it; You are the great Knower of what escapes the senses." 5:109

قَالُوا۟ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَآ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ

You are the best of providers." 5:114

وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ

And remember when God will say: "O Issa, son of Maryam! was it you who said to the people: Take me, and my mother, as two deities besides God?" 5:116

وَإِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ءَأَنتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ ٱتَّخِذُونِى وَأُمِّىَ إِلَٰهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ

You are, You, the great Knower of what escapes the senses. 5:116

إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ

then, when You took me back to You, it was You who were the Observer over them. 5:117

فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِى كُنتَ أَنتَ ٱلرَّقِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ

And You are, over all things, a witness. 5:117

وَأَنتَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ شَهِيدٌ

and if You forgive them, You are, You, the All-Powerful, the Wise." 5:118

وَإِن تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

Yet still you doubt. 6:2

ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَ

Say: "God saves you from it, and from every distress; yet you associate [others with Him]." 6:64

قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُنَجِّيكُم مِّنْهَا وَمِن كُلِّ كَرْبٍۢ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ

and you were taught what you did not know, neither you nor your ancestors?" Say: "God"; 6:91

وَعُلِّمْتُم مَّا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنتُمْ وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ

and you are not for them a trustee-agent. 6:107

وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٍۢ

and you will not be able to render [Him] powerless. 6:134

وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ

and you do nothing but engage in baseless guesswork." 6:148

وَإِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا تَخْرُصُونَ

"O Adam! dwell, you and your spouse, in the Garden, and eat from it wherever you wish, 7:19

وَيَٰٓـَٔادَمُ ٱسْكُنْ أَنتَ وَزَوْجُكَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ فَكُلَا مِنْ حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا

"Enter the Garden; no fear upon you, and you will not grieve." 7:49

ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَآ أَنتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ

Do you dispute with me concerning names that you and your ancestors have named, for which God has sent down no authority? 7:71

أَتُجَٰدِلُونَنِى فِىٓ أَسْمَآءٍۢ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَآ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُم مَّا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَٰنٍۢ

You are rather indeed a people of the excessive." 7:81

بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌۭ مُّسْرِفُونَ

You are the best of those who judge." 7:89

وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْفَٰتِحِينَ

You are the most benevolent of the benevolent." 7:151

وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ

You are our Protector; forgive us, then, and have benevolence on us; You are the best of those who forgive. 7:155

أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْغَٰفِرِينَ

It is the same to you, whether you call them, or remain silent. 7:193

سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ أَدَعَوْتُمُوهُمْ أَمْ أَنتُمْ صَٰمِتُونَ

and do not turn away from him, while you hear. 8:20

وَلَا تَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ وَأَنتُمْ تَسْمَعُونَ

And remember when you were few, reduced to weakness on the earth, fearing that people would snatch you away; He then granted you refuge, reinforced you with His help, and provided you with good things as sustenance — perhaps you will be grateful. 8:26

وَٱذْكُرُوٓا۟ إِذْ أَنتُمْ قَلِيلٌۭ مُّسْتَضْعَفُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ تَخَافُونَ أَن يَتَخَطَّفَكُمُ ٱلنَّاسُ فَـَٔاوَىٰكُمْ وَأَيَّدَكُم بِنَصْرِهِۦ وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

O you who have believed! do not betray God and the messenger, and do not betray your trusts, while you know. 8:27

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَخُونُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوٓا۟ أَمَٰنَٰتِكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

But it was not for God to punish them while you were among them, 8:33

وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنتَ فِيهِمْ

When you were on the nearer side, and they were on the farther side, and the cavalry was lower than you. 8:42

إِذْ أَنتُم بِٱلْعُدْوَةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَهُم بِٱلْعُدْوَةِ ٱلْقُصْوَىٰ وَٱلرَّكْبُ أَسْفَلَ مِنكُمْ

And whatever you spend in the way of God will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged. 8:60

وَمَا تُنفِقُوا۟ مِن شَىْءٍۢ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ يُوَفَّ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تُظْلَمُونَ

On the day when We gather them all together, then say to those who associated: "Stay in your place, you and your associates" — then We will separate them from one another, 10:28

وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًۭا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ مَكَانَكُمْ أَنتُمْ وَشُرَكَآؤُكُمْ فَزَيَّلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ

And if they deny you, say: "To me my deed, and to you your deed; you are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what you do." 10:41

وَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل لِّى عَمَلِى وَلَكُمْ عَمَلُكُمْ أَنتُم بَرِيٓـُٔونَ مِمَّآ أَعْمَلُ وَأَنَا۠ بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ

but will you make the deaf hear, even though they do not reason? 10:42

أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ

but will you guide the blind, even though they do not see? 10:43

أَفَأَنتَ تَهْدِى ٱلْعُمْىَ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ

Say: "Yes, by my Guardian! It is truly so, and you cannot thwart it." 10:53

قُلْ إِى وَرَبِّىٓ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّۭ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ

When the illusion-makers came, Moussa said to them: "Throw what you have to throw." 10:80

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ

Is it you who would compel people to become believers? 10:99

أَفَأَنتَ تُكْرِهُ ٱلنَّاسَ حَتَّىٰ يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ

You are, yourself, only a warner; 11:12

إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ نَذِيرٌۭ

Will you then be true to God alone? 11:14

فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

He said: "O my people, do you see? If I rely on a clear proof from my Guardian, and He has granted me a benevolence from Him, which has remained hidden from you, shall We impose it upon you while you detest it? 11:28

قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّى وَءَاتَىٰنِى رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِهِۦ فَعُمِّيَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنُلْزِمُكُمُوهَا وَأَنتُمْ لَهَا كَٰرِهُونَ

He said: "It is God alone who will bring it to you, if He wills, and you will not be able to thwart anything. 11:33

قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَأْتِيكُم بِهِ ٱللَّهُ إِن شَآءَ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ

and You are the most just of judges." 11:45

وَأَنتَ أَحْكَمُ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ

you did not know them, neither you nor your people, before this. 11:49

مَا كُنتَ تَعْلَمُهَآ أَنتَ وَلَا قَوْمُكَ مِن قَبْلِ هَٰذَا

you are only inventors [of falsehood]." 11:50

إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُفْتَرُونَ

You are indeed, yourself, the thoughtful, the reasonable one!" 11:87

إِنَّكَ لَأَنتَ ٱلْحَلِيمُ ٱلرَّشِيدُ

They said: "O Shu'ayb, we do not understand much of what you say, and we indeed see you weak among us; were it not for your clan, we would have banished you; and you have no power over us." 11:91

قَالُوا۟ يَٰشُعَيْبُ مَا نَفْقَهُ كَثِيرًۭا مِّمَّا تَقُولُ وَإِنَّا لَنَرَىٰكَ فِينَا ضَعِيفًۭا وَلَوْلَا رَهْطُكَ لَرَجَمْنَٰكَ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْنَا بِعَزِيزٍۢ

He said: "It indeed grieves me that you take him, and I fear the wolf may devour him while you are inattentive." 12:13

قَالَ إِنِّى لَيَحْزُنُنِىٓ أَن تَذْهَبُوا۟ بِهِۦ وَأَخَافُ أَن يَأْكُلَهُ ٱلذِّئْبُ وَأَنتُمْ عَنْهُ غَٰفِلُونَ

But you will not believe us, even if we speak the truth. 12:17

وَمَآ أَنتَ بِمُؤْمِنٍۢ لَّنَا وَلَوْ كُنَّا صَٰدِقِينَ

What you obey, besides Him, is nothing but attributes you have named, you and your ancestors, without God having sent down any authority for it: 12:40

مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَسْمَآءًۭ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَآ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَٰنٍ

he said: "You are in the worst of positions, 12:77

قَالَ أَنتُمْ شَرٌّۭ مَّكَانًۭا

He said: "Do you know what you did to Youssof and his brother, in your ignorance?" 12:89

قَالَ هَلْ عَلِمْتُم مَّا فَعَلْتُم بِيُوسُفَ وَأَخِيهِ إِذْ أَنتُمْ جَٰهِلُونَ

They said: "Is it you, Youssof?" 12:90

قَالُوٓا۟ أَءِنَّكَ لَأَنتَ يُوسُفُ

Creator of the heavens and the earth, You are my protector in the present life and in the last life: cause me to die true to You alone, and join me with the righteous." 12:101

فَاطِرَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أَنتَ وَلِىِّۦ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ تَوَفَّنِى مُسْلِمًۭا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

You are, yourself, only a warner, 13:7

إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرٌۭ

And Moussa said: "If you deny, you and all who are on the earth, God is self-sufficient, He is praiseworthy." 14:8

وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِن تَكْفُرُوٓا۟ أَنتُمْ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَنِىٌّ حَمِيدٌ

They said: "You are only human beings like us; you want to turn us away from what our ancestors obeyed. So bring us a manifest authority." 14:10

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَصُدُّونَا عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا فَأْتُونَا بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

And they will all appear before God, and the weak will say to those who were arrogant: "We were your followers; can you then be of any use to us, against God's punishment?" 14:21

وَبَرَزُوا۟ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًۭا فَقَالَ ٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًۭا فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّغْنُونَ عَنَّا مِنْ عَذَابِ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍۢ

And the Diverter will say, when the matter is decided: "God made you a true promise, and I made you a promise, but I betrayed you; I had no authority over you, except to call you, and you answered me. So do not blame me, but blame yourselves: I am no rescuer of yours, nor are you mine. I deny that you associated me with God before." 14:22

وَقَالَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ لَمَّا قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَعَدَكُمْ وَعْدَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَوَعَدتُّكُمْ فَأَخْلَفْتُكُمْ وَمَا كَانَ لِىَ عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍ إِلَّآ أَن دَعَوْتُكُمْ فَٱسْتَجَبْتُمْ لِى فَلَا تَلُومُونِى وَلُومُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُم مَّآ أَنَا۠ بِمُصْرِخِكُمْ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُصْرِخِىَّ إِنِّى كَفَرْتُ بِمَآ أَشْرَكْتُمُونِ مِن قَبْلُ

And We sent the fecundating winds, and then sent down from the sky a water with which We gave you drink, and which you do not hold in reserve. 15:22

وَأَرْسَلْنَا ٱلرِّيَٰحَ لَوَٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَسْقَيْنَٰكُمُوهُ وَمَآ أَنتُمْ لَهُۥ بِخَٰزِنِينَ

and you do not know. 16:74

وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

And when We substitute one sign for another sign — God knows best what He sends down — they say: "You are but an inventor." 16:101

وَإِذَا بَدَّلْنَآ ءَايَةًۭ مَّكَانَ ءَايَةٍۢ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُنَزِّلُ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُفْتَرٍۭ

Say: "If you possessed the treasures of my Guardian's benevolence, you would then hold them back, for fear of spending." 17:100

قُل لَّوْ أَنتُمْ تَمْلِكُونَ خَزَآئِنَ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّىٓ إِذًۭا لَّأَمْسَكْتُمْ خَشْيَةَ ٱلْإِنفَاقِ

[His father] said: "Do you spurn my gods, O Ibrahim? 19:46

قَالَ أَرَاغِبٌ أَنتَ عَنْ ءَالِهَتِى

Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not weaken in My remembrance. 20:42

ٱذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَأَخُوكَ بِـَٔايَٰتِى وَلَا تَنِيَا فِى ذِكْرِى

So set between us and you an appointment, which neither we nor you shall fail, at a fair place.» 20:58

فَٱجْعَلْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكَ مَوْعِدًۭا لَّا نُخْلِفُهُۥ نَحْنُ وَلَآ أَنتَ مَكَانًۭا سُوًۭى

We said: «Do not fear, it is you who are the uppermost.» 20:68

قُلْنَا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ

So decide whatever you are to decide: 20:72

فَٱقْضِ مَآ أَنتَ قَاضٍ

Will you then go along with illusion, while you can see clearly? 21:3

أَفَتَأْتُونَ ٱلسِّحْرَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ

will you, then, deny it? 21:50

أَفَأَنتُمْ لَهُۥ مُنكِرُونَ

When he said to his father and his people: "What are these statues before which you stand [posted]?" 21:52

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا هَٰذِهِ ٱلتَّمَاثِيلُ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنتُمْ لَهَا عَٰكِفُونَ

He said: 'You and your fathers were indeed in manifest error.' 21:54

قَالَ لَقَدْ كُنتُمْ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمْ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

They said: 'Have you come to us with the truth, or are you one of those who jest?' 21:55

قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا بِٱلْحَقِّ أَمْ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱللَّٰعِبِينَ

They said: 'Is it you who did this to our gods, Ibrahim?' 21:62

قَالُوٓا۟ ءَأَنتَ فَعَلْتَ هَٰذَا بِـَٔالِهَتِنَا يَٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ

So they turned back to themselves and said: 'It is you, truly, who are the wrongdoers.' 21:64

فَرَجَعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ أَنتُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ

will you, then, be grateful? 21:80

فَهَلْ أَنتُمْ شَٰكِرُونَ

And Ayyub, when he called out to his Guardian: 'Harm has touched me, and You are the most benevolent of the benevolent!' 21:83

وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَسَّنِىَ ٱلضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ

And Dhu'n-Nun, when he went off in anger and thought that We would have no power over him: he called out in the darkness: 'There is no god but You! Glory be to You! I have indeed been among the wrongdoers!' 21:87

وَذَا ٱلنُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَٰضِبًۭا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادَىٰ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ أَن لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنتَ سُبْحَٰنَكَ إِنِّى كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

And Zakariya, when he called out to his Guardian: 'My Guardian, do not leave me alone, though You are the best of inheritors!' 21:89

وَزَكَرِيَّآ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِى فَرْدًۭا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ

You, and what you obey besides God, are the fuel of Jahannam — you will come to it. 21:98

إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ أَنتُمْ لَهَا وَٰرِدُونَ

will you, then, be true to Him alone?' 21:108

فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

And when you are settled, you and those with you, upon the ark, say: Praise be to God who has saved us from the unjust people. 23:28

فَإِذَا ٱسْتَوَيْتَ أَنتَ وَمَن مَّعَكَ عَلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى نَجَّىٰنَا مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

And say: My Guardian, grant me a blessed dwelling, for You are the best of those who grant a dwelling. 23:29

وَقُل رَّبِّ أَنزِلْنِى مُنزَلًۭا مُّبَارَكًۭا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْمُنزِلِينَ

There was a group among My obedient ones who said: Our Guardian, we believe; forgive us and have benevolence on us, for You are the best of those who show benevolence — but you took them in mockery, until they made you forget My Reminder, and you used to laugh at them. 23:110

إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فَرِيقٌۭ مِّنْ عِبَادِى يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ فَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰٓ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِى وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ

And say: My Guardian, forgive and have benevolence, for You are the best of those who show benevolence. 23:118

وَقُل رَّبِّ ٱغْفِرْ وَٱرْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ

and you, you do not know. 24:19

وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

He well knows the state you are in, 24:64

قَدْ يَعْلَمُ مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ

And the day when He gathers them, them and what they obeyed besides God, He will say: Was it you who led these obedient ones of Mine astray, or did they themselves stray from the way? 25:17

وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَقُولُ ءَأَنتُمْ أَضْلَلْتُمْ عِبَادِى هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَمْ هُمْ ضَلُّوا۟ ٱلسَّبِيلَ

Have you seen him who has taken his emotion as his deity? Would you then be his agent? 25:43

أَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا

He said [Fir'awn]: 'Did we not raise you among us as a child, and did you not stay among us for years of your life? You committed the act you committed, and you are among those who deny.' 26:19

قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًۭا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِى فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

And it was said to the people: 'Will you gather, so that we may follow the workers of illusion, if they are the victors?' 26:40

وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّجْتَمِعُونَ لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ

Moussa said to them: 'Throw what you have to throw.' 26:43

قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ

He said [Ibrahim]: "Have you then seen what you used to obey, you and your most distant forefathers? They are indeed enemies to me, 26:77

قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ لِّىٓ

They said [Thamud's people]: 'You are only among the bewitched; you are only a man like us; bring then a sign, if you are among the truthful.' 26:154

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

You are rather a people who overstep. 26:166

بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ

They said [the people of the Thicket]: 'You are only among the bewitched; you are only a man like us, and we certainly consider you among the liars. So cause a fragment of the sky to fall upon us, if you are among the truthful.' 26:187

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

When it came to Sulayman, he said: 'Do you wish to aid me with wealth? What God has given me is better than what He has given you; it is you rather who rejoice in your gift. 27:36

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ سُلَيْمَٰنَ قَالَ أَتُمِدُّونَنِ بِمَالٍۢ فَمَآ ءَاتَىٰنِۦَ ٱللَّهُ خَيْرٌۭ مِّمَّآ ءَاتَىٰكُم بَلْ أَنتُم بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ

you are rather a people being tried.' 27:47

بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌۭ تُفْتَنُونَ

And Lut, when he said to his people: 'Do you commit indecency while you see clearly? 27:54

وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلْفَٰحِشَةَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ

you are rather a people who persist in ignorance.' 27:55

بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌۭ تَجْهَلُونَ

Nor are you the one who guides the blind out of their error; 27:81

وَمَآ أَنتَ بِهَٰدِى ٱلْعُمْىِ عَن ضَلَٰلَتِهِمْ

you two, and those who follow you, will be the victors." 28:35

أَنتُمَا وَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكُمَا ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ

You cannot render [Him] powerless anywhere, neither on earth nor in the sky; 29:22

وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ

And among His signs is that He created you from dust; then, behold, you are human beings spreading out. 30:20

وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَنتُم بَشَرٌۭ تَنتَشِرُونَ

then, when He calls you with a single call from the earth, behold, you will come forth. 30:25

ثُمَّ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ إِذَآ أَنتُمْ تَخْرُجُونَ

He proposes to you an example drawn from yourselves: do you have, among those bound to you by pledge, any partners in what We have provided you as sustenance, such that you would be equal in that, fearing them as you fear one another? 30:28

ضَرَبَ لَكُم مَّثَلًۭا مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ هَل لَّكُم مِّن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُم مِّن شُرَكَآءَ فِى مَا رَزَقْنَٰكُمْ فَأَنتُمْ فِيهِ سَوَآءٌۭ تَخَافُونَهُمْ كَخِيفَتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ

And you are not the one who guides the blind out of their error; 30:53

وَمَآ أَنتَ بِهَٰدِ ٱلْعُمْىِ عَن ضَلَٰلَتِهِمْ

and if you bring them a sign, those who deny will certainly say, "You are nothing but workers of falsehood." 30:58

وَلَئِن جِئْتَهُم بِـَٔايَةٍۢ لَّيَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُبْطِلُونَ

those who were deemed weak will say to those who were arrogant, "Had it not been for you, we would have been believers." 34:31

يَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أَنتُمْ لَكُنَّا مُؤْمِنِينَ

they will say, "Glory be to You! You are our ally, not them: 34:41

قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَٰنَكَ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا مِن دُونِهِم

O mankind, it is you who are the poor before God, 35:15

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ أَنتُمُ ٱلْفُقَرَآءُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ

and you cannot make those in the graves hear. 35:22

وَمَآ أَنتَ بِمُسْمِعٍۢ مَّن فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ

You are but a warner. 35:23

إِنْ أَنتَ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ

They said: "You are nothing but humans like us; the All-Benevolent has sent nothing down; you are only lying." 36:15

قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا تَكْذِبُونَ

Rather, you are a people who overstep all bounds." 36:19

بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌۭ مُّسْرِفُونَ

And when it is said to them: "Spend from what God has provided you," those who deny say to those who have believed: "Shall we feed one whom God, if He willed, would feed Himself? You are only in manifest error." 36:47

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَنُطْعِمُ مَن لَّوْ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ أَطْعَمَهُۥٓ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

He who made for you fire out of the green tree, and see, you kindle from it. 36:80

ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ ٱلْأَخْضَرِ نَارًۭا فَإِذَآ أَنتُم مِّنْهُ تُوقِدُونَ

Say: "Yes, and you will be humbled." 37:18

قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ

He says: "Do you wish to look?" So he looked, and saw him in the midst of the Blaze. 37:55

قَالَ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ فَٱطَّلَعَ فَرَءَاهُ فِى سَوَآءِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

Neither you, nor what you obey, can lead anyone astray against Him, except him who is destined to burn in the Blaze. 37:163

فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَٰتِنِينَ إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

You are indeed the Great Bestower." 38:35

إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ

They will say: "Rather it is you! No welcome for you! It is you who went before us into this." 38:60

قَالُوا۟ بَلْ أَنتُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًۢا بِكُمْ أَنتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوهُ لَنَا

Say: "This is momentous news, from which you turn away: 38:68

قُلْ هُوَ نَبَؤٌا۟ عَظِيمٌ أَنتُمْ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضُونَ

He against whom the word of punishment has been fulfilled — will you save him who is in the Fire? 39:19

أَفَمَنْ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ كَلِمَةُ ٱلْعَذَابِ أَفَأَنتَ تُنقِذُ مَن فِى ٱلنَّارِ

and you are not a trustee over them. 39:41

وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٍ

Say: "O God, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of what escapes our presence and of what is manifest, You alone will judge between Your obedient ones concerning that in which they used to differ." 39:46

قُلِ ٱللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ عَٰلِمَ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ أَنتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِى مَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ

And follow the best of what has been sent down to you from your Guardian, before the punishment comes to you suddenly, without your realizing it — lest a Self should say: "What regret, for having neglected my duty toward God, and for having been among the mockers!" or should say: "Had God guided me, I would have been among those who are mindful"; or should say, upon seeing the punishment: "If only I had another chance, I would be among those who do good." 39:58

وَٱتَّبِعُوٓا۟ أَحْسَنَ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ بَغْتَةًۭ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ أَن تَقُولَ نَفْسٌۭ يَٰحَسْرَتَىٰ عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطتُ فِى جَنۢبِ ٱللَّهِ وَإِن كُنتُ لَمِنَ ٱلسَّٰخِرِينَ أَوْ تَقُولَ لَوْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هَدَىٰنِى لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ أَوْ تَقُولَ حِينَ تَرَى ٱلْعَذَابَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِى كَرَّةًۭ فَأَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

You indeed are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 40:8

إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

And when they dispute with one another in the Fire, the weak will say to those who were arrogant: "We were your followers; can you then spare us a share of the Fire?" 40:47

وَإِذْ يَتَحَآجُّونَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ فَيَقُولُ ٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًۭا فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّغْنُونَ عَنَّا نَصِيبًۭا مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ

and you are not, yourself, their agent. 42:6

وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٍۢ

You are not able to escape [Him] on the earth, 42:31

وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ

Is it you who will make the deaf hear, or guide the blind and whoever is in manifest error? 43:40

أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ أَوْ تَهْدِى ٱلْعُمْىَ وَمَن كَانَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

"O My obedient ones, no fear shall be upon you today, nor shall you grieve, 43:68

يَٰعِبَادِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ وَلَآ أَنتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ

you who believed in Our signs and were true to God alone: enter the Garden, you and your spouses, rejoicing." 43:70

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَكَانُوا۟ مُسْلِمِينَ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ أَنتُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْ تُحْبَرُونَ

and you will abide therein forever. 43:71

وَأَنتُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ

"You, yes you, the mighty, the noble!" 44:49

إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْكَرِيمُ

So do not weaken and call for peace, while you are the uppermost, and God is with you, 47:35

فَلَا تَهِنُوا۟ وَتَدْعُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلسَّلْمِ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَوْنَ وَٱللَّهُ مَعَكُمْ

There you are — those called to spend in the path of God — yet among you are some who are stingy, 47:38

هَٰٓأَنتُمْ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ تُدْعَوْنَ لِتُنفِقُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَمِنكُم مَّن يَبْخَلُ

while you are the poor. 47:38

وَأَنتُمُ ٱلْفُقَرَآءُ

O you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet, and do not speak loudly to him as you speak loudly to one another, lest your deeds be nullified without your realizing it. 49:2

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَرْفَعُوٓا۟ أَصْوَٰتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ ٱلنَّبِىِّ وَلَا تَجْهَرُوا۟ لَهُۥ بِٱلْقَوْلِ كَجَهْرِ بَعْضِكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ أَن تَحْبَطَ أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ

and you have no compulsion to impose upon them. 50:45

وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍۢ

So turn away from them — you will not be blamed at all — and remind, 51:55

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍۢ وَذَكِّرْ

Is this, then, an illusion, or do you not see? 52:15

أَفَسِحْرٌ هَٰذَآ أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ

So remind: by the favor of your Guardian, you are neither a soothsayer nor deranged. 52:29

فَذَكِّرْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍۢ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ

They are nothing but names you have invented, you and your forefathers; God has sent down no authority for them. 53:23

إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّآ أَسْمَآءٌۭ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَآ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَٰنٍ

He knows you best, when He brought you forth from the earth, and when you were embryos in your mothers' wombs. 53:32

هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌۭ فِى بُطُونِ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ

Is it then this discourse that you marvel at, laughing, not weeping, while you remain heedless? 53:61

أَفَمِنْ هَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ وَأَنتُمْ سَٰمِدُونَ

Have you considered that which you emit? Is it you who create it, or are We the Creator? 56:59

أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تُمْنُونَ ءَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْخَٰلِقُونَ

Have you considered that which you sow? Is it you who make it grow, or are We the Grower? 56:64

أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَحْرُثُونَ ءَأَنتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلزَّٰرِعُونَ

Have you considered the water that you drink? Is it you who sent it down from the clouds, or are We the Sender? 56:69

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلْمَآءَ ٱلَّذِى تَشْرَبُونَ ءَأَنتُمْ أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنزِلُونَ

Have you considered the fire that you kindle? Is it you who caused its tree to grow, or are We the Grower? 56:72

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِى تُورُونَ ءَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنشِـُٔونَ

Is it this discourse that you treat with disdain, and do you make your denial [your response to your] provision? 56:82

أَفَبِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدْهِنُونَ وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ

Then why, when [the soul] reaches the throat, and you at that moment are looking on, and We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see — then why, if you were not subject to reckoning, do you not bring it back, if you are truthful? 56:87

فَلَوْلَآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلْحُلْقُومَ وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍۢ تَنظُرُونَ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ فَلَوْلَآ إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ تَرْجِعُونَهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

You inspire, in their chests, more fear than God. 59:13

لَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ رَهْبَةًۭ فِى صُدُورِهِم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ

You are indeed the All-Powerful, the Wise. 60:5

إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

And guard yourselves before God, in whom you believe. 60:11

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنتُم بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ

They will say: 'Yes, a warner did come to us, but we denied him and said: God has not sent down anything, you are only in great error.' 67:9

قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَآءَنَا نَذِيرٌۭ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ كَبِيرٍۢ

By the pen and what they write! You are not, by the grace of your Guardian, insane. And you shall have a reward that will never end. And you are indeed of a tremendous character. 68:4

وَٱلْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ مَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجْنُونٍۢ وَإِنَّ لَكَ لَأَجْرًا غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍۢ وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍۢ

Are you more difficult to create, or is the sky? 79:27

ءَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ

What have you to do with mentioning it? 79:43

فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَىٰهَآ

You are only the warner of whoever holds it in awe. 79:45

إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰهَا

As for him who considers himself self-sufficient, you give him your attention, and it is not upon you if he does not purify himself. 80:7

أَمَّا مَنِ ٱسْتَغْنَىٰ فَأَنتَ لَهُۥ تَصَدَّىٰ وَمَا عَلَيْكَ أَلَّا يَزَّكَّىٰ

But as for him who came to you striving, and he fears, from him you are distracted. No! 80:11

وَأَمَّا مَن جَآءَكَ يَسْعَىٰ وَهُوَ يَخْشَىٰ فَأَنتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهَّىٰ كَلَّآ

So remind; you are only a reminder. 88:21

فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌۭ

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. No! I swear by this city, and you are a resident in it, and by a father and what he begot! We have certainly created man in hardship. 90:4

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ وَأَنتَ حِلٌّۢ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ وَوَالِدٍۢ وَمَا وَلَدَ لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ فِى كَبَدٍ

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Say: O you who deny! I do not obey what you obey, and you are not obedient ones of what I obey. 109:3

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ لَآ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ

Nor do I obey what you obey, and you do not obey what I obey. 109:5

وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدٌۭ مَّا عَبَدتُّمْ وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ
