and Dawud killed Jalut; God gave him kingship and wisdom, and taught him what He willed. 2:251
وَقَتَلَ دَاوُۥدُ جَالُوتَ وَءَاتَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمُلْكَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَعَلَّمَهُۥ مِمَّا يَشَآءُ -
and their guarding costs Him no effort. 2:255
وَلَا يَـُٔودُهُۥ حِفْظُهُمَا -
and We gave Dawud a Formulary. 4:163
وَءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ زَبُورًۭا -
They have been cursed, those among the Children of Israel who denied-disowned, by the mouth of Dawud and Issa, son of Maryam. 5:78
لُعِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُۥدَ وَعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ -
and among his descendants, Dawud, Sulayman, Ayyub, Youssof, Moussa, and Harun. 6:84
وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِۦ دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ -
We have indeed favored some prophets over others, and We gave Dawud the Formulary. 17:55
وَلَقَدْ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ وَءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ زَبُورًۭا -
And Dawud and Sulayman, when they judged concerning the cultivated field into which the people's sheep had strayed by night, 21:78
وَدَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ إِذْ يَحْكُمَانِ فِى ٱلْحَرْثِ إِذْ نَفَشَتْ فِيهِ غَنَمُ ٱلْقَوْمِ -
And We subjected the mountains to glorify with Dawud, and the birds as well; 21:79
وَسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوُۥدَ ٱلْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَٱلطَّيْرَ -
And We certainly gave Dawud and Sulayman knowledge; and both said: 'Praise be to God, who has favored us above many of His believing obedient ones.' 27:15
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ عِلْمًۭا وَقَالَا ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍۢ مِّنْ عِبَادِهِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ -
And Sulayman inherited from Dawud, and he said: 'O people, we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given a share of everything; 27:16
وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَٰنُ دَاوُۥدَ وَقَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنطِقَ ٱلطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ -
And We certainly gave Dawud a favor from Us: "O mountains, echo [Our praise] with him, and the birds [as well]." 34:10
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ مِنَّا فَضْلًۭا يَٰجِبَالُ أَوِّبِى مَعَهُۥ وَٱلطَّيْرَ -
"Work, family of Dawud, 34:13
ٱعْمَلُوٓا۟ ءَالَ دَاوُۥدَ -
and remember Our obedient one Dawud, endowed with strength, 38:17
وَٱذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُۥدَ ذَا ٱلْأَيْدِ -
Has the account of the dispute reached you, when they climbed over the wall into the sanctuary, when they entered upon Dawud, and he was alarmed by them? They said: "Do not be afraid; 38:22
وَهَلْ أَتَىٰكَ نَبَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَصْمِ إِذْ تَسَوَّرُوا۟ ٱلْمِحْرَابَ إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ دَاوُۥدَ فَفَزِعَ مِنْهُمْ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ -
And Dawud understood that We had [thus] tested him; he sought his Guardian's forgiveness, fell down bowing, and turned back [to Him]. 38:24
وَظَنَّ دَاوُۥدُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّٰهُ فَٱسْتَغْفَرَ رَبَّهُۥ وَخَرَّ رَاكِعًۭا وَأَنَابَ -
"O Dawud, We have made you a representative on earth; so judge among the people with truth, and do not follow emotion, lest it lead you astray from the path of God. 38:26
يَٰدَاوُۥدُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَٰكَ خَلِيفَةًۭ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ فَيُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ -
And We granted Dawud Sulayman — 38:30
وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوُۥدَ سُلَيْمَٰنَ
