And whoever does not find the means, then an abstention of three days during the Hajj, and seven once you have returned: that is ten complete days. 2:196

remember when you said to the believers: "Is it not enough for you that your Guardian reinforces you with three thousand Agents sent down [from the sky]?" 3:124

إِذْ تَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَلَن يَكْفِيَكُمْ أَن يُمِدَّكُمْ رَبُّكُم بِثَلَٰثَةِ ءَالَٰفٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ مُنزَلِينَ

And if you fear not being equitable toward the orphans, marry then those women who are agreeable to you, two, three, or four; 4:3

وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تُقْسِطُوا۟ فِى ٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ فَٱنكِحُوا۟ مَا طَابَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ مَثْنَىٰ وَثُلَٰثَ وَرُبَٰعَ

But if there are more than two women, two-thirds of what is left belongs to them; 4:11

فَإِن كُنَّ نِسَآءًۭ فَوْقَ ٱثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُنَّ ثُلُثَا مَا تَرَكَ

but if he has no child, and his parents inherit from him, to his mother belongs a third. 4:11

فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ وَلَدٌۭ وَوَرِثَهُۥٓ أَبَوَاهُ فَلِأُمِّهِ ٱلثُّلُثُ

but if they are more numerous than that, they share in the third, after [the execution of] a testament that may have been made, or a debt, without harm [to the heirs]. 4:12

فَإِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَكْثَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ فَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ فِى ٱلثُّلُثِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍۢ يُوصَىٰ بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ غَيْرَ مُضَآرٍّۢ

and do not say: "Three". 4:171

وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ ثَلَٰثَةٌ

But if there are two [sisters], then to them belong two-thirds of what he leaves; 4:176

فَإِن كَانَتَا ٱثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُمَا ٱلثُّلُثَانِ مِمَّا تَرَكَ

They have indeed denied-disowned, those who said: "God is the third of three." 5:73

لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلَٰثَةٍۢ

and whoever does not find the means, then an abstention of three days. 5:89

فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَٰثَةِ أَيَّامٍۢ

We fixed for Moussa an appointment of thirty nights, which We completed with ten: thus the appointed meeting set by his Guardian was fulfilled, in forty nights. 7:142

وَوَٰعَدْنَا مُوسَىٰ ثَلَٰثِينَ لَيْلَةًۭ وَأَتْمَمْنَٰهَا بِعَشْرٍۢ فَتَمَّ مِيقَٰتُ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةًۭ

God has indeed turned with clemency toward the Prophet, the emigrants, and the Helpers [those who took in the refugees], who followed him in the hour of hardship, after the cores of a group among them had almost wavered; then He turned toward them with clemency — He is, toward them, full of bonté, full of benevolence — and [He turned] toward the three who had stayed behind, 9:118

لَّقَد تَّابَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّ وَٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ وَٱلْأَنصَارِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ فِى سَاعَةِ ٱلْعُسْرَةِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا كَادَ يَزِيغُ قُلُوبُ فَرِيقٍۢ مِّنْهُمْ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّهُۥ بِهِمْ رَءُوفٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ وَعَلَى ٱلثَّلَٰثَةِ ٱلَّذِينَ خُلِّفُوا۟

But they hamstrung her. He then said: "Enjoy yourselves in your dwelling for three days: 11:65

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ فِى دَارِكُمْ ثَلَٰثَةَ أَيَّامٍۢ

They will say: "Three, their dog the fourth," 18:22

سَيَقُولُونَ ثَلَٰثَةٌۭ رَّابِعُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ

They remained in their cave three hundred years, and added nine. 18:25

وَلَبِثُوا۟ فِى كَهْفِهِمْ ثَلَٰثَ مِا۟ئَةٍۢ سِنِينَ وَٱزْدَادُوا۟ تِسْعًۭا

He said: "Your sign is that you shall not speak to the people for three complete nights." 19:10

قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَ لَيَالٍۢ سَوِيًّۭا

O you who believe, let those bound by pledge and those among you who have not yet reached the age of reflection ask your permission [to enter], at three times: before the Contact of dawn, when you remove your garments at midday, and after the Contact of evening — 24:58

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لِيَسْتَـْٔذِنكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا۟ ٱلْحُلُمَ مِنكُمْ ثَلَٰثَ مَرَّٰتٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِ صَلَوٰةِ ٱلْفَجْرِ وَحِينَ تَضَعُونَ ثِيَابَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظَّهِيرَةِ وَمِنۢ بَعْدِ صَلَوٰةِ ٱلْعِشَآءِ

three times of privacy for you. 24:58

ثَلَٰثُ عَوْرَٰتٍۢ لَّكُمْ

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Praise be to God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, who made the Agents envoys organized into departments — by twos, by threes, by fours. 35:1

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ جَاعِلِ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ رُسُلًا أُو۟لِىٓ أَجْنِحَةٍۢ مَّثْنَىٰ وَثُلَٰثَ وَرُبَٰعَ

Set before them, as an example, the people of the town: when the envoys came to it, when We sent two [messengers] to them, and they called them liars; so We reinforced them with a third, and they said: "We are indeed sent to you." 36:14

وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلًا أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ إِذْ جَآءَهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍۢ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُم مُّرْسَلُونَ

He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, in three darknesses; 39:6

يَخْلُقُكُمْ فِى بُطُونِ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ خَلْقًۭا مِّنۢ بَعْدِ خَلْقٍۢ فِى ظُلُمَٰتٍۢ ثَلَٰثٍۢ

And his bearing and his weaning are thirty months. 46:15

وَحَمْلُهُۥ وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ ثَلَٰثُونَ شَهْرًا

Have you then considered Al-Lat, and Al-Uzza, and Manat, the third, the other? Would the male be for you, and for Him the female? 53:21

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱللَّٰتَ وَٱلْعُزَّىٰ وَمَنَوٰةَ ٱلثَّالِثَةَ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰٓ أَلَكُمُ ٱلذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ ٱلْأُنثَىٰ

Abasing [some], exalting [others] — when the earth is shaken with a violent shaking, and the mountains are crushed to powder, becoming scattered dust, and you become three categories. 56:7

خَافِضَةٌۭ رَّافِعَةٌ إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ رَجًّۭا وَبُسَّتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ بَسًّۭا فَكَانَتْ هَبَآءًۭ مُّنۢبَثًّۭا وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا ثَلَٰثَةًۭ

There is no secret talk among three but He is their fourth, nor among five but He is their sixth, nor fewer nor more than that but He is with them wherever they are. 58:7

مَا يَكُونُ مِن نَّجْوَىٰ ثَلَٰثَةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ رَابِعُهُمْ وَلَا خَمْسَةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ سَادِسُهُمْ وَلَآ أَدْنَىٰ مِن ذَٰلِكَ وَلَآ أَكْثَرَ إِلَّا هُوَ مَعَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كَانُوا۟

As for those of your women who no longer expect menstruation, if you are in doubt, their waiting period is three months, and likewise for those who have not had their menstruation [for a reason other than menopause]. 65:4

وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى يَئِسْنَ مِنَ ٱلْمَحِيضِ مِن نِّسَآئِكُمْ إِنِ ٱرْتَبْتُمْ فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ ثَلَٰثَةُ أَشْهُرٍۢ وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى لَمْ يَحِضْنَ

Indeed, your Guardian knows that you stand in prayer a little less than two-thirds of the night, or half of it, or a third of it, as do a group of those with you. 73:20

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَقُومُ أَدْنَىٰ مِن ثُلُثَىِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَنِصْفَهُۥ وَثُلُثَهُۥ وَطَآئِفَةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَعَكَ

Depart to that which you used to deny! Depart to a shadow of three columns, neither shading nor availing against the flame. 77:31

ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّۢ ذِى ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٍۢ لَّا ظَلِيلٍۢ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
