O you who have believed! testimony between you, when death presents itself to one of you, at the time of the testament: two equitable [persons] among you, or two others, outside your circle, if you are traveling on the earth and the calamity of death strikes you. 5:106

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ شَهَٰدَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ حِينَ ٱلْوَصِيَّةِ ٱثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍۢ مِّنكُمْ أَوْ ءَاخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَصَٰبَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ

And you will have, on the earth, a dwelling and an enjoyment for a time." 7:24

وَلَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُسْتَقَرٌّۭ وَمَتَٰعٌ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ

Was there ever a city that believed and whose faith benefited it — except the people of Younes! When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in the present life, and We granted them enjoyment until a term. 10:98

فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ ءَامَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَآ إِيمَٰنُهَآ إِلَّا قَوْمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّآ ءَامَنُوا۟ كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْخِزْىِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ

Is it not that, when they cover themselves with their garments, He knows what they keep secret and what they disclose? 11:5

أَلَا حِينَ يَسْتَغْشُونَ ثِيَابَهُمْ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ

Then it seemed good to them, after seeing the proofs, to imprison him for a time. 12:35

ثُمَّ بَدَا لَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَا رَأَوُا۟ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لَيَسْجُنُنَّهُۥ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ

Have you not seen how God multiplies an example? A good word is like a good tree, whose root is firm and whose branches are in the sky, giving its fruit at every moment, with the permission of its Guardian. 14:25

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًۭا كَلِمَةًۭ طَيِّبَةًۭ كَشَجَرَةٍۢ طَيِّبَةٍ أَصْلُهَا ثَابِتٌۭ وَفَرْعُهَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ تُؤْتِىٓ أُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِينٍۭ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهَا

And in them you find a beauty, when you bring them back in the evening and when you lead them out to pasture. 16:6

وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا جَمَالٌ حِينَ تُرِيحُونَ وَحِينَ تَسْرَحُونَ

and, from their wool, their fur, and their hair, furnishings and use for a time. 16:80

وَمِنْ أَصْوَافِهَا وَأَوْبَارِهَا وَأَشْعَارِهَآ أَثَٰثًۭا وَمَتَٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ

If only those who denied knew — the moment when they will not be able to keep the fire off their faces or their backs, and will not be helped... 21:39

لَوْ يَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ حِينَ لَا يَكُفُّونَ عَن وُجُوهِهِمُ ٱلنَّارَ وَلَا عَن ظُهُورِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ

And I do not know — perhaps it is a trial for you, and an enjoyment for a while.' 21:111

وَإِنْ أَدْرِى لَعَلَّهُۥ فِتْنَةٌۭ لَّكُمْ وَمَتَٰعٌ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ

The court of his people, those who denied, then said: This is nothing but a human being like you, who wants to gain superiority over you; had God willed, He would have sent down Agents; we have not heard this among our first ancestors. He is nothing but a man afflicted with derangement — so wait concerning him for a while. 23:25

فَقَالَ ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَوْمِهِۦ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُرِيدُ أَن يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَأَنزَلَ مَلَٰٓئِكَةًۭ مَّا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِىٓ ءَابَآئِنَا ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌۢ بِهِۦ جِنَّةٌۭ فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ

So leave them in their [state of] daze, for a while. 23:54

فَذَرْهُمْ فِى غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ

O you who believe, let those bound by pledge and those among you who have not yet reached the age of reflection ask your permission [to enter], at three times: before the Contact of dawn, when you remove your garments at midday, and after the Contact of evening — 24:58

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لِيَسْتَـْٔذِنكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا۟ ٱلْحُلُمَ مِنكُمْ ثَلَٰثَ مَرَّٰتٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِ صَلَوٰةِ ٱلْفَجْرِ وَحِينَ تَضَعُونَ ثِيَابَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظَّهِيرَةِ وَمِنۢ بَعْدِ صَلَوٰةِ ٱلْعِشَآءِ

They will know, when they see the punishment, who was most astray from the way. 25:42

وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا

And take as mandatory the All-Powerful, the Benevolent, the one who sees you when you stand, and your movement among those who prostrate. 26:219

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

He entered the Capital at a moment when its people were inattentive, and found there two men fighting: one from his own camp, the other from the opposing camp. 28:15

وَدَخَلَ ٱلْمَدِينَةَ عَلَىٰ حِينِ غَفْلَةٍۢ مِّنْ أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ هَٰذَا مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ وَهَٰذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِۦ

So glory be to God when you enter the evening and when you enter the morning! 30:17

فَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ

And to Him is praise in the heavens and the earth, and at the day's decline, and when you enter midday. 30:18

وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَعَشِيًّۭا وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ

And if We willed, We would drown them; then there would be no help for them, nor would they be saved, except by a benevolence from Us, and enjoyment for a time. 36:44

وَإِن نَّشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنقَذُونَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنَّا وَمَتَٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ

and they believed; so We let them enjoy [life] for a while. 37:148

فَـَٔامَنُوا۟ فَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ

So turn away from them for a while, 37:174

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ

So turn away from them for a while, 37:178

وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ

How many generations did We destroy before them! They cried out, but it was no longer time to escape. 38:3

كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍۢ فَنَادَوا۟ وَّلَاتَ حِينَ مَنَاصٍۢ

and you will surely know its truth after a time." 38:88

وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ نَبَأَهُۥ بَعْدَ حِينٍۭ

God takes back the Selves at the time of their death, and those that have not died, during their sleep; 39:42

ٱللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى ٱلْأَنفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا وَٱلَّتِى لَمْ تَمُتْ فِى مَنَامِهَا

And follow the best of what has been sent down to you from your Guardian, before the punishment comes to you suddenly, without your realizing it — lest a Self should say: "What regret, for having neglected my duty toward God, and for having been among the mockers!" or should say: "Had God guided me, I would have been among those who are mindful"; or should say, upon seeing the punishment: "If only I had another chance, I would be among those who do good." 39:58

وَٱتَّبِعُوٓا۟ أَحْسَنَ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ بَغْتَةًۭ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ أَن تَقُولَ نَفْسٌۭ يَٰحَسْرَتَىٰ عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطتُ فِى جَنۢبِ ٱللَّهِ وَإِن كُنتُ لَمِنَ ٱلسَّٰخِرِينَ أَوْ تَقُولَ لَوْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هَدَىٰنِى لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ أَوْ تَقُولَ حِينَ تَرَى ٱلْعَذَابَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِى كَرَّةًۭ فَأَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

And in the Depleters [Thamud]: when it was said to them, 'Enjoy yourselves for a while,' but they rebelled against the command of their Guardian, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on. 51:44

وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ

And glorify, with praise, your Guardian, when you arise, 52:48

وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ

Then why, when [the soul] reaches the throat, and you at that moment are looking on, and We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see — then why, if you were not subject to reckoning, do you not bring it back, if you are truthful? 56:87

فَلَوْلَآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلْحُلْقُومَ وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍۢ تَنظُرُونَ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ فَلَوْلَآ إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ تَرْجِعُونَهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Has there come upon man a period of time when he was not a thing worth mentioning? 76:1

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ هَلْ أَتَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ حِينٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُن شَيْـًۭٔا مَّذْكُورًا
