5:52 Sura 5 · Faithful to Contracts Open the verse →

You see those in whose cores is a sickness speeding among them, saying: "We dread that a setback may strike us";

فَتَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌۭ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِيهِمْ يَقُولُونَ نَخْشَىٰٓ أَن تُصِيبَنَا دَآئِرَةٌۭ
20:3 Sura 20 · That You May Not Toil Open the verse →

but as a reminder for whoever dreads,

إِلَّا تَذْكِرَةًۭ لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰ
20:44 Sura 20 · That You May Not Toil Open the verse →

Go, both of you, to Fir'awn: he has exceeded all measure. Speak to him gently; perhaps he will remember, or feel dread."

ٱذْهَبَآ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ فَقُولَا لَهُۥ قَوْلًۭا لَّيِّنًۭا لَّعَلَّهُۥ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوْ يَخْشَىٰ
20:77 Sura 20 · That You May Not Toil Open the verse →

And We had revealed to Moussa: "Set out by night with My obedient ones, and strike out for them a dry road through the sea; do not fear being overtaken, and do not dread."

وَلَقَدْ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِى فَٱضْرِبْ لَهُمْ طَرِيقًۭا فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ يَبَسًۭا لَّا تَخَٰفُ دَرَكًۭا وَلَا تَخْشَىٰ
33:37 Sura 33 · The Parties Open the verse →

And when you said to the one God had favored and you had favored, "Retain your wife and guard yourself toward God," while hiding within yourself what God was going to make appear, and dreading mankind, when God is more deserving that you dread Him.

وَإِذْ تَقُولُ لِلَّذِىٓ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْسِكْ عَلَيْكَ زَوْجَكَ وَٱتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ وَتُخْفِى فِى نَفْسِكَ مَا ٱللَّهُ مُبْدِيهِ وَتَخْشَى ٱلنَّاسَ وَٱللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَن تَخْشَىٰهُ
35:28 Sura 35 · The Poor Before God Open the verse →

Only those who know, among His obedient ones, dread God.

إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى ٱللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ٱلْعُلَمَٰٓؤُا۟
79:19 Sura 79 · Those Who Tear Away Open the verse →

"Go to Fir'awn; he has exceeded all measure. And say to him, 'Would you purify yourself, that I may guide you to your Guardian, so that you may dread Him?'"

ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ
79:26 Sura 79 · Those Who Tear Away Open the verse →

Surely, in that is a lesson for whoever dreads.

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةًۭ لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰٓ
80:11 Sura 80 · He Frowned Open the verse →

But as for him who came to you hurrying, and he dreads, from him you are distracted. By no means!

وَأَمَّا مَن جَآءَكَ يَسْعَىٰ وَهُوَ يَخْشَىٰ فَأَنتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهَّىٰ كَلَّآ
87:13 Sura 87 · The Most High Open the verse →

He who dreads will remember, and the most wretched will keep at a distance from it, who will burn in the greatest Fire, then he will neither die therein nor live.

سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
