• And do not shave your heads until the offering has reached its place of delivery; 2:196

  وَلَا تَحْلِقُوا۟ رُءُوسَكُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ ٱلْهَدْىُ مَحِلَّهُۥ

• And whoever among you is sick, or suffers an ailment of the head, then a compensation by fasting, alms, or any other good deed. 2:196

  فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ بِهِۦٓ أَذًۭى مِّن رَّأْسِهِۦ فَفِدْيَةٌۭ مِّن صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍۢ

• and if you turn back [to God], the principal of your wealth belongs to you, without your doing wrong or being wronged. 2:279

  وَإِن تُبْتُمْ فَلَكُمْ رُءُوسُ أَمْوَٰلِكُمْ لَا تَظْلِمُونَ وَلَا تُظْلَمُونَ

• O you who have believed! when you rise for the Contact, wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads with wet hands, 5:6

  يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَٱغْسِلُوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْمَرَافِقِ وَٱمْسَحُوا۟ بِرُءُوسِكُمْ

• And he threw down the Tablets, and seized his brother by the head, dragging him toward himself. 7:150

  وَأَلْقَى ٱلْأَلْوَاحَ وَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِ أَخِيهِ يَجُرُّهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِ

• The other said: "I saw myself carrying bread on my head, from which the birds were eating. 12:36

  وَقَالَ ٱلْءَاخَرُ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰنِىٓ أَحْمِلُ فَوْقَ رَأْسِى خُبْزًۭا تَأْكُلُ ٱلطَّيْرُ مِنْهُ

• as for the other, he will be crucified, and the birds will eat from his head. 12:41

  وَأَمَّا ٱلْءَاخَرُ فَيُصْلَبُ فَتَأْكُلُ ٱلطَّيْرُ مِن رَّأْسِهِۦ

• He only defers them until a day when the gazes will be fixed, [people] rushing forward, heads raised, their gaze never returning to them, and their consciences will be void. 14:43

  إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍۢ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ مُهْطِعِينَ مُقْنِعِى رُءُوسِهِمْ لَا يَرْتَدُّ إِلَيْهِمْ طَرْفُهُمْ وَأَفْـِٔدَتُهُمْ هَوَآءٌۭ

• Then they will shake their heads at you and say: 'When will that be?' 17:51

  فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ إِلَيْكَ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هُوَ

• he said: "My Guardian, the bone has grown weak within me, the head has blazed white, and never, in calling upon You, my Guardian, have I been left wanting. 19:4

  قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى وَهَنَ ٱلْعَظْمُ مِنِّى وَٱشْتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأْسُ شَيْبًۭا وَلَمْ أَكُنۢ بِدُعَآئِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّۭا

• He said: «Son of my mother, do not seize me by the beard nor by the head; I feared you would say: «You have divided the Children of Israel», and that you did not heed my word.» 20:94

  قَالَ يَبْنَؤُمَّ لَا تَأْخُذْ بِلِحْيَتِى وَلَا بِرَأْسِىٓ إِنِّى خَشِيتُ أَن تَقُولَ فَرَّقْتَ بَيْنَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَلَمْ تَرْقُبْ قَوْلِى

• Then they were turned back upon their heads [in confusion]: 21:65

  ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رُءُوسِهِمْ

• Those who deny will have garments of fire cut out for them; boiling water will be poured over their heads, melting what is in their bellies as well as their skins. 22:20

  فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌۭ مِّن نَّارٍۢ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيمُ يُصْهَرُ بِهِۦ مَا فِى بُطُونِهِمْ وَٱلْجُلُودُ

• And if you could see when the severed, heads bowed before their Guardian, [will say], "Our Guardian, we have seen and heard, so return us; we will do righteousness — we are now certain." 32:12

  وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ نَاكِسُوا۟ رُءُوسِهِمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ رَبَّنَآ أَبْصَرْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا فَٱرْجِعْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَٰلِحًا إِنَّا مُوقِنُونَ

• it is a tree that grows at the root of the Blaze, whose fruits resemble the heads of Diverters. 37:65

  إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌۭ تَخْرُجُ فِىٓ أَصْلِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ

• "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Blaze, then pour over his head the punishment of boiling water. Taste!" 44:49

  خُذُوهُ فَٱعْتِلُوهُ إِلَىٰ سَوَآءِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ثُمَّ صُبُّوا۟ فَوْقَ رَأْسِهِۦ مِنْ عَذَابِ ٱلْحَمِيمِ ذُقْ

• God has certainly made the vision of His messenger come true, in very truth: you will enter the Sacred Mosque, if God wills, in security, your heads shaved or your hair cut short, without fear. 48:27

  لَّقَدْ صَدَقَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولَهُ ٱلرُّءْيَا بِٱلْحَقِّ لَتَدْخُلُنَّ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ ٱلْحَرَامَ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ءَامِنِينَ مُحَلِّقِينَ رُءُوسَكُمْ وَمُقَصِّرِينَ لَا تَخَافُونَ

• And when it is said to them: Come, that the messenger of God may ask forgiveness for you, they turn their heads aside, and you see them withdrawing while they are arrogant. 63:5

  وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا۟ يَسْتَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ لَوَّوْا۟ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَرَأَيْتَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ وَهُم مُّسْتَكْبِرُونَ
