• And remember when We said to the Agents: "Prostrate before Adam"; they prostrated, 2:34

  وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِءَادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟

• And remember when We said: "Enter this city, eat from it wherever you wish, at your ease, enter by the gate bowing down, and say: Relieve us [of our faults] — We will forgive you your faults, 2:58

  وَإِذْ قُلْنَا ٱدْخُلُوا۟ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةَ فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ رَغَدًۭا وَٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًۭا وَقُولُوا۟ حِطَّةٌۭ نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطَٰيَٰكُمْ

• And who is then more unjust than one who prevents God's name from being mentioned in God's places of prostration, and strives for their ruin? 2:114

  وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن مَّنَعَ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ أَن يُذْكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسْمُهُۥ وَسَعَىٰ فِى خَرَابِهَآ

• And We engaged Ibrahim and Isma'il: "Purify My House for those who frequent it, those who dwell there permanently, and those who bow in service and submit in allegiance." 2:125

  وَعَهِدْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ أَن طَهِّرَا بَيْتِىَ لِلطَّآئِفِينَ وَٱلْعَٰكِفِينَ وَٱلرُّكَّعِ ٱلسُّجُودِ

• Set your course, then, for the inviolable place of prostration, 2:144

  فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ

• And from wherever you come out, set your course for the inviolable place of prostration: 2:149

  وَمِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجْتَ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ

• And do not unite with them, while you are in residence in the places of prostration. 2:187

  وَلَا تُبَٰشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنتُمْ عَٰكِفُونَ فِى ٱلْمَسَٰجِدِ

• And do not fight them near the inviolable place of prostration, until they fight you there; 2:191

  وَلَا تُقَٰتِلُوهُمْ عِندَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ حَتَّىٰ يُقَٰتِلُوكُمْ فِيهِ

• That, for one whose family is not present near the inviolable place of prostration. 2:196

  ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن لَّمْ يَكُنْ أَهْلُهُۥ حَاضِرِى ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ

• but to turn away from the path of God, deny-disown it, [turn away] from the inviolable place of prostration, and expel its inhabitants from it, is graver still with God; 2:217

  وَصَدٌّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَكُفْرٌۢ بِهِۦ وَٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَإِخْرَاجُ أَهْلِهِۦ مِنْهُ أَكْبَرُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• O Maryam! be devoted toward your Guardian, prostrate, and bow with those who bow." 3:43

  يَٰمَرْيَمُ ٱقْنُتِى لِرَبِّكِ وَٱسْجُدِى وَٱرْكَعِى مَعَ ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ

• among the people of the Scripture, there is an upright community, which recites the signs of God in the hours of the night, prostrating. 3:113

  مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أُمَّةٌۭ قَآئِمَةٌۭ يَتْلُونَ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ءَانَآءَ ٱلَّيْلِ وَهُمْ يَسْجُدُونَ

• Then, when they have prostrated, let them pass behind you, 4:102

  فَإِذَا سَجَدُوا۟ فَلْيَكُونُوا۟ مِن وَرَآئِكُمْ

• and We said to them: "Enter by the gate, prostrate", 4:154

  وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًۭا

• And let not the hatred of a people, for having turned you away from the inviolable place of prostration, drive you to transgress. 5:2

  وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُوا۟

• We indeed created you, then We gave you form, then We said to the Agents: "Prostrate before Adam"; they prostrated, 7:11

  وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَٰكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِءَادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟

• except the Despairing One [Iblis]: he was not among those who prostrated. 7:11

  إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

• He said: "What prevented you from prostrating, when I commanded you?" 7:12

  قَالَ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَلَّا تَسْجُدَ إِذْ أَمَرْتُكَ

• Maintain your directions toward Him at every moment of prostration, 7:29

  وَأَقِيمُوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍۢ

• O children of Adam! take your adornment at every moment of prostration, and eat and drink, 7:31

  يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ خُذُوا۟ زِينَتَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍۢ وَكُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟

• And the illusion-makers threw themselves down, prostrate. 7:120

  وَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ

• And remember when it was said to them: "Dwell in this city, eat from it wherever you wish, say: Relieve us [of our faults], and enter by the gate bowing down: We will forgive you your faults. 7:161

  وَإِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْكُنُوا۟ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةَ وَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ وَقُولُوا۟ حِطَّةٌۭ وَٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًۭا نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِكُمْ

• Those who are with your Guardian are not arrogant about obeying Him, they glorify Him, and it is before Him that they prostrate. 7:206

  إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَيُسَبِّحُونَهُۥ وَلَهُۥ يَسْجُدُونَ

• And what reason would they have for God not to punish them, while they turn [people] away from the inviolable place of prostration, without even being its protectors? 8:34

  وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلَّا يُعَذِّبَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُوٓا۟ أَوْلِيَآءَهُۥٓ

• How could there be, for the associators, a pact with God and with His Messenger — except those with whom you made a pact near the inviolable place of prostration? As long as they stand straight with you, stand straight with them. 9:7

  كَيْفَ يَكُونُ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ عَهْدٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَعِندَ رَسُولِهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّمْ عِندَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ فَمَا ٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟ لَكُمْ فَٱسْتَقِيمُوا۟ لَهُمْ

• It is not for the associators to populate the places of prostration of God, bearing witness against themselves of denial-disowning. 9:17

  مَا كَانَ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ أَن يَعْمُرُوا۟ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ شَٰهِدِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِم بِٱلْكُفْرِ

• Only he populates the places of prostration of God who has believed in God and the Last Day, has maintained the Contact, given the purifying alms, and feared none but God alone — those, it may be, are among the rightly-guided. 9:18

  إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ فَعَسَىٰٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَن يَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ

• Would you make the watering of the arrival and the maintenance of the inviolable place of prostration equivalent to one who has believed in God and the Last Day, and has striven in the way of God? 9:19

  أَجَعَلْتُمْ سِقَايَةَ ٱلْحَآجِّ وَعِمَارَةَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ كَمَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ وَجَٰهَدَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ

• O you who have believed! the associators are nothing but impurity: let them not approach the inviolable place of prostration, after this year of theirs. 9:28

  يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ نَجَسٌۭ فَلَا يَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ ٱلْحَرَامَ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هَٰذَا

• And those who took a place of prostration for harm, for denial-disowning, for division among the believers, and as a lookout post for one who, previously, had made war on God and His Messenger — 9:107

  وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مَسْجِدًۭا ضِرَارًۭا وَكُفْرًۭا وَتَفْرِيقًۢا بَيْنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِرْصَادًۭا لِّمَنْ حَارَبَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ

• A place of prostration founded upon guardedness, from the very first day, is far more worthy that you should maintain yourself therein. 9:108

  لَّمَسْجِدٌ أُسِّسَ عَلَى ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ أَحَقُّ أَن تَقُومَ فِيهِ

• Those who return [to God], who obey, who praise, who journey [His way], who bow, who prostrate, who enjoin what is recognized and forbid what is disavowed, and who guard the limits of God — 9:112

  ٱلتَّٰٓئِبُونَ ٱلْعَٰبِدُونَ ٱلْحَٰمِدُونَ ٱلسَّٰٓئِحُونَ ٱلرَّٰكِعُونَ ٱلسَّٰجِدُونَ ٱلْءَامِرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَٱلنَّاهُونَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَٱلْحَٰفِظُونَ لِحُدُودِ ٱللَّهِ

• I saw them prostrate before me." 12:4

  رَأَيْتُهُمْ لِى سَٰجِدِينَ

• And he raised his two parents upon the Edifice, and they fell down before him in prostration. 12:100

  وَرَفَعَ أَبَوَيْهِ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ وَخَرُّوا۟ لَهُۥ سُجَّدًۭا

• And before God prostrates whoever is in the heavens and on the earth, willingly or unwillingly, as do their shadows, morning and evening. 13:15

  وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ طَوْعًۭا وَكَرْهًۭا وَظِلَٰلُهُم بِٱلْغُدُوِّ وَٱلْءَاصَالِ

• And [recall] when your Guardian said to the Agents: "I am going to create a human being from resonant clay, like pottery, [drawn] from molded mud; when I have formed him and breathed into him of My Influx, fall down before him in prostration." 15:29

  وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى خَٰلِقٌۢ بَشَرًۭا مِّن صَلْصَٰلٍۢ مِّنْ حَمَإٍۢ مَّسْنُونٍۢ فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ

• The Agents then prostrated, all together, except the Despairing One [Iblis]: he refused to be among those who prostrated. 15:31

  فَسَجَدَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

• He said: "O Iblis, what is with you, that you are not among those who prostrate?" 15:32

  قَالَ يَٰٓإِبْلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

• He said: "I am not [made] to prostrate before a human being You created from resonant clay, like pottery, [drawn] from molded mud." 15:33

  قَالَ لَمْ أَكُن لِّأَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقْتَهُۥ مِن صَلْصَٰلٍۢ مِّنْ حَمَإٍۢ مَّسْنُونٍۢ

• so glorify, in praise, [the glory of] your Guardian, and be among those who prostrate, 15:98

  فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

• Have they not seen that, of everything God has created, the shadows incline to the right and the left, prostrate before God, in utter humility? 16:48

  أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍۢ يَتَفَيَّؤُا۟ ظِلَٰلُهُۥ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَٱلشَّمَآئِلِ سُجَّدًۭا لِّلَّهِ وَهُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ

• And before God prostrates everything in the heavens and on the earth, among living creatures, as well as the Agents, without being puffed up with pride: they fear their Guardian, above them, and do what they are commanded. 16:50

  وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن دَآبَّةٍۢ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ

• In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Exalted is He who made His obedient one travel by night, from the Forbidden Sanctuary to the farthest sanctuary, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him some of Our signs. 17:1

  بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَسْرَىٰ بِعَبْدِهِۦ لَيْلًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ إِلَى ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْأَقْصَا ٱلَّذِى بَٰرَكْنَا حَوْلَهُۥ لِنُرِيَهُۥ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِنَآ

• Then, when the promise of the second time came, [We raised up servants] to afflict your faces, to enter the Sanctuary as they had entered it the first time, and to utterly destroy whatever they seized. 17:7

  فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ لِيَسُۥٓـُٔوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَلِيَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۢ وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا۟ مَا عَلَوْا۟ تَتْبِيرًا

• And [recall] when We said to the Agents: "Prostrate before Adam," they prostrated, 17:61

  وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِءَادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟

• except the Despairing One [Iblis]: he said: "Shall I prostrate before one You created from clay?" 17:61

  إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ قَالَ ءَأَسْجُدُ لِمَنْ خَلَقْتَ طِينًۭا

• those to whom knowledge was given before it, when it is recited to them, fall prostrate on their chins, saying: 'Glory to our Guardian! Our Guardian's promise is indeed fulfilled.' 17:108

  إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ مِن قَبْلِهِۦٓ إِذَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ يَخِرُّونَ لِلْأَذْقَانِ سُجَّدًۭا وَيَقُولُونَ سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّنَآ إِن كَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّنَا لَمَفْعُولًۭا

• Those who prevailed in the matter said: "We shall surely set up over them a place of service." 18:21

  قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ غَلَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرِهِمْ لَنَتَّخِذَنَّ عَلَيْهِم مَّسْجِدًۭا

• And [recall] when We said to the Agents: "Prostrate before Adam," they prostrated, 18:50

  وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِءَادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟

• When the signs of the All-Benevolent were recited to them, they fell down prostrate, weeping. 19:58

  إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ خَرُّوا۟ سُجَّدًۭا وَبُكِيًّۭا

• So the workers of illusion were cast down, prostrate. 20:70

  فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سُجَّدًۭا

• And when We said to the Agents: «Prostrate before Adam», they prostrated, 20:116

  وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِءَادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟

• Have you not seen that to God prostrate whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth, the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the living beings, and many among mankind? 22:18

  أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ وَٱلنُّجُومُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ وَٱلدَّوَآبُّ وَكَثِيرٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ

• Indeed, those who deny and turn [people] away from the way of God and from the Sacred Mosque, which We made for the people equally, whether one dwells there or is passing through — 22:25

  إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلْنَٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ سَوَآءً ٱلْعَٰكِفُ فِيهِ وَٱلْبَادِ

• and purify My House for those who frequent it, those who maintain it, and those who bow in service and submit [in allegiance]." 22:26

  وَطَهِّرْ بَيْتِىَ لِلطَّآئِفِينَ وَٱلْقَآئِمِينَ وَٱلرُّكَّعِ ٱلسُّجُودِ

• And were it not for God's defense of people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished hermitages, churches, synagogues, and mosques wherein the name of God is much mentioned. 22:40

  وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّاسَ بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍۢ لَّهُدِّمَتْ صَوَٰمِعُ وَبِيَعٌۭ وَصَلَوَٰتٌۭ وَمَسَٰجِدُ يُذْكَرُ فِيهَا ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ كَثِيرًۭا

• O you who believe! Kneel, prostrate, obey your Guardian, and do good, that you may succeed. 22:77

  يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ وَٱسْجُدُوا۟ وَٱعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ وَٱفْعَلُوا۟ ٱلْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

• And when it is said to them: Prostrate before the All-Benevolent, they say: What is the All-Benevolent? 25:60

  وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ قَالُوا۟ وَمَا ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ

• Shall we prostrate before what you order us? And it only increases their aversion. 25:60

  أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًۭا

• And those who spend the night prostrating and standing for their Guardian, 25:64

  وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًۭا وَقِيَٰمًۭا

• The workers of illusion then fell down prostrate. 26:46

  فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ

• And take as mandatory the All-Powerful, the Benevolent, the one who sees you when you stand, and your movement among those who prostrate. 26:219

  وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

• I found her and her people prostrating before the sun, besides God; and the Diverter has made their deeds seem fair to them, and thus turned them from the path, so that they are not guided, so that they do not prostrate before God, who brings forth what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and who knows what they conceal and what they disclose. 27:25

  وَجَدتُّهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُونَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ أَلَّا يَسْجُدُوا۟ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى يُخْرِجُ ٱلْخَبْءَ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُخْفُونَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ

• Only those believe in Our signs who, when they are reminded of them, fall down in prostration and glorify their Guardian with praise, and are not arrogant. 32:15

  إِنَّمَا يُؤْمِنُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهَا خَرُّوا۟ سُجَّدًۭا وَسَبَّحُوا۟ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

• [Recall] when your Guardian said to the Agents: "I am about to create a being of clay; when I have shaped him and breathed into him of My Influx, fall down before him, prostrating." 38:72

  إِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى خَٰلِقٌۢ بَشَرًۭا مِّن طِينٍۢ فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ

• So the Agents prostrated, all of them together, except the Despairing One [Iblis]: he swelled with arrogance and was among those who deny-disown. 38:74

  فَسَجَدَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ ٱسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

• He said: "O Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I created with My own two hands? Did you swell with arrogance, or were you among the exalted?" 38:75

  قَالَ يَٰٓإِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَىَّ أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْعَالِينَ

• He who is devoted through the hours of the night, prostrating and standing, fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the benevolence of his Guardian — 39:9

  أَمَّنْ هُوَ قَٰنِتٌ ءَانَآءَ ٱلَّيْلِ سَاجِدًۭا وَقَآئِمًۭا يَحْذَرُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ وَيَرْجُوا۟ رَحْمَةَ رَبِّهِۦ

• Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, 41:37

  لَا تَسْجُدُوا۟ لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ

• but prostrate to God, who created them, if it is Him that you obey. 41:37

  وَٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَهُنَّ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ

• It is they who denied and barred you from the inviolable place of prostration, and barred the offering, detained, from reaching its place of delivery. 48:25

  هُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَٱلْهَدْىَ مَعْكُوفًا أَن يَبْلُغَ مَحِلَّهُۥ

• God has certainly made the vision of His messenger come true, in very truth: you will enter the Sacred Mosque, if God wills, in security, your heads shaved or your hair cut short, without fear. 48:27

  لَّقَدْ صَدَقَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولَهُ ٱلرُّءْيَا بِٱلْحَقِّ لَتَدْخُلُنَّ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ ٱلْحَرَامَ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ءَامِنِينَ مُحَلِّقِينَ رُءُوسَكُمْ وَمُقَصِّرِينَ لَا تَخَافُونَ

• You see them bowing, prostrating, seeking bounty from God and [His] good pleasure. 48:29

  تَرَىٰهُمْ رُكَّعًۭا سُجَّدًۭا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًۭا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٰنًۭا

• Their mark is on their faces, from the trace of prostration. 48:29

  سِيمَاهُمْ فِى وُجُوهِهِم مِّنْ أَثَرِ ٱلسُّجُودِ

• and glorify Him during part of the night, and after the prostrations. 50:40

  وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِ

• So prostrate to God, and obey [Him]. 53:62

  فَٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلَّهِ وَٱعْبُدُوا۟

• The stemless plant and the tree bow down. 55:6

  وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ

• On the day when the true state of things is uncovered, and they are called to prostrate, they will not be able, 68:42

  يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَن سَاقٍۢ وَيُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ

• though they used to be called to prostrate while they were sound [and fully able]. 68:43

  وَقَدْ كَانُوا۟ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَٰلِمُونَ

• And that the places of prostration belong to God, so do not invoke besides God anyone. 72:18

  وَأَنَّ ٱلْمَسَٰجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدًۭا

• And during a part of the night prostrate to Him, and glorify Him a long portion of the night. 76:26

  وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَٱسْجُدْ لَهُۥ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلًۭا طَوِيلًا

• So what is the matter with them that they do not believe? And when the Recitation is read to them, they do not prostrate? 84:21

  فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ

• No! Do not obey him, but prostrate and draw near. 96:19

  كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَٱسْجُدْ وَٱقْتَرِب
