And remember when We saved you from the clan of Fir'awn, who inflicted upon you the worst of punishments, slaughtering your sons and violating the modesty of your women — 2:49

He orders you only evil and indecency, and to say about God what you do not know. 2:169
and if you hide them and give them to the poor, that is better for you, and it erases a part of your evil deeds. 2:271
and what it has done of evil, it would wish there were between that and itself an immense distance. 3:30
If good touches you, it grieves them, 3:120
and if evil befalls you, they rejoice at it. 3:120
They returned then with a blessing from God and a favor, without any evil having touched them, and they followed the good pleasure of God. 3:174
Our Guardian, forgive us, then, our offenses, erase for us our evil deeds, and take us back to You with the good. 3:193
Those who have emigrated, been expelled from their dwellings, been persecuted on My way, fought, and been killed, I will certainly cover their evil deeds, and I will certainly admit them into gardens beneath which rivers flow" — a reward from God. 3:195
The repentance accepted by God concerns only those who do evil out of ignorance, then turn back [to Him] without delay: 4:17
And repentance is not accepted for those who commit evil deeds until, when death presents itself to one of them, he says: "I turn back [to God] now" — nor for those who die while denying-disowning: 4:18
and what an evil path! 4:22
If you avoid the grave offenses which are forbidden to you, We will cover your evil deeds, and We will admit you into a noble entrance. 4:31
whoever has the Diverter as a companion, what an evil companion! 4:38
and if evil befalls them, they say: "This is from you." 4:78
and what reaches you of evil comes from yourself. 4:79
and whoever intercedes with an evil intercession will bear a share of responsibility for it. 4:85
Those are the ones whose refuge will be Jahannam; and what an evil destination! — except the men, women, and children reduced to weakness, who have neither the means to scheme, nor to find a way. 4:98
And whoever commits an evil, or wrongs his own Self, then asks God's forgiveness, finds God Most-Forgiving, full of benevolence. 4:110
And what an evil destination! 4:115
Whoever commits an evil will be rewarded for it, and will find, besides God, neither protector nor helper. 4:123
God does not love the public disclosure of evil in speech, except from one who has been wronged. 4:148
Whether you disclose a good, or hide it, or forgive an evil, God is indeed Ever-Effacing, All-Powerful. 4:149
If you maintain the Contact, give the purifying alms, believe in My messengers, support them, and make God a beautiful loan, I will certainly cover your evil deeds, and I will certainly admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow. 5:12
God then sent a raven, which scratched the earth, to show him how to conceal his brother's nakedness. 5:31
He said: "Woe to me! am I unable to be like this raven, and to conceal my brother's nakedness?" And he then became among those who regret. 5:32
And had the people of the Scripture believed and guarded themselves, We would indeed have effaced their evil deeds, and We would indeed have admitted them into the Gardens of blessing. 5:65
but many of them, how evil is what they do! 5:66
O you who have believed! do not ask about things which, if disclosed to you, would grieve you. 5:101
How evil is what they weigh themselves down with! 6:31
Your Guardian has prescribed benevolence upon Himself: whoever among you commits evil out of ignorance, then repents after that and reforms — He is indeed Most-Forgiving, full of benevolence." 6:54
How evil is what they decide! 6:136
We will reward those who turn away from Our signs with the worst punishment, for having turned away from them. 6:157
and whoever comes with the evil deed is rewarded only with its equivalent, without being wronged. 6:160
But the Diverter whispered suggestions to them, so as to reveal to them what had been hidden from them of their nakedness, 7:20
When they had tasted the tree, their nakedness became apparent to them, and they both set about covering themselves with leaves from the Garden. 7:22
O children of Adam! We have sent down for you a garment that covers your nakedness, as well as an adornment; and the garment of guardedness — 7:26
O children of Adam! let not the Diverter try you as he made your two ancestors go out of the Garden, stripping them of their garment to show them their nakedness. 7:27
and do her no harm, lest a painful punishment seize you." 7:73
Then We replaced evil with good, until they prospered 7:95
and if misfortune touches them, they attribute it to an ill omen from Moussa and those with him. 7:131
And remember when We saved you from the clan of Fir'awn, who inflicted upon you the worst of punishments, massacring your sons and violating the modesty of your women — 7:141
And those who committed evil deeds, then repented after that and believed — your Guardian, after that, is indeed Most-Forgiving, full of benevolence. 7:153
When they forgot what they had been reminded of, We saved those who forbade evil, and We seized the unjust with a harsh punishment, for having overstepped. 7:165
And remember when your Guardian proclaimed that He would certainly send against them, until the Day of Appearance, one who would inflict upon them the worst of punishments. 7:167
And We tried them with good things and bad things, that they might return. 7:168
Evil is the likeness of the people who denied Our signs, and who wronged themselves. 7:177
and evil would not have touched me. 7:188
O you who have believed! if you guard yourselves toward God, He will grant you a Discernment, erase your evil deeds for you, and forgive you. 8:29
How evil is what they used to do! 9:9
The evil of their deeds has been embellished for them. 9:37
If good befalls you, it grieves them, 9:50
Upon them, the cycle of misfortune. 9:98
And others have acknowledged their wrongs, having mixed a righteous deed with another that was evil; it may be that God will turn toward them with clemency. 9:102
As for those who committed evil deeds, the reward of an evil deed will be its equivalent, and humiliation will cover them; no protector will shield them from God — as if their faces were covered with strips of dark night. 10:27
And if We let him taste a blessing after adversity has touched him, he will surely say: "The ills have departed from me": 11:10
We only say that one of our gods has struck you with evil." 11:54
and do her no harm, or a near punishment will seize you." 11:64
And when Our envoys came to Lut, he was distressed by it, and felt helpless about them, and said: "This is a hard day." 11:77
And his people came to him, rushing, though they had previously been committing evil deeds. 11:78
good deeds indeed dispel bad ones: 11:114
thus We turned away from him evil and indecency: 12:24
She said: "What is the reward of one who intends evil against your family, except prison or a painful punishment?" 12:25
They said: "Far be it from God, such an imperfection! We know no evil of him." 12:51
the Self indeed incites to evil, except one to whom my Guardian shows benevolence. 12:53
They ask you to hasten evil before good, though there have already come to pass, before them, exemplary precedents. 13:6
and when God wills harm for a people, nothing can repel it, 13:11
Those are the ones who will have the worst of reckonings, 13:18
Only those endowed with reason remember, those who keep God's covenant and do not break the pact, those who join what God has commanded to be joined, dread their Guardian and fear the worst of reckonings, those who were patient seeking the direction of their Guardian, maintained the Contact, spent from what We provided them, secretly and openly, and repel evil with good. 13:22
And those who break God's covenant after its ratification, sever what God has commanded to be joined, and spread corruption on the earth — those are the ones to whom belongs the curse, and to whom belongs the worst of abodes. 13:25
And [recall] when Moussa said to his people: "Remember God's blessing upon you, when He saved you from the people of Fir'awn, who inflicted upon you the worst punishment, slaughtering your sons and violating the honor of your women: 14:6
how detestable is what they bear! 16:25
Those to whom knowledge was given will say: "Humiliation, today, and misfortune, are upon those who deny" — those the Agents take, wronging themselves. 16:28
They then offer their submission: "We were doing no evil!" — But yes, indeed! 16:28
The evils of what they did overtook them, 16:34
Are those who plotted the evils then sure that God will not cause the earth to swallow them, or that the punishment will not come to them from where they do not perceive, or that He will not seize them in their comings and goings, without their being able to thwart [Him], or that He will not seize them in a gradual dread? 16:47
And when one of them receives the news of a daughter, his face darkens, and he is filled with suppressed distress; he hides himself from the people, because of the ill news he was given: 16:59
How detestable is what they decide! 16:59
To those who do not believe in the last life belongs the example of evil, 16:60
And do not take your oaths as a means of deceit among yourselves, or a foot would slip after having been firm, and you would taste evil for having turned away from God's path; and you would have an immense punishment. 16:94
Then, your Guardian, toward those who did evil out of ignorance, then repented after that and reformed — your Guardian, after that, is indeed Most-Forgiving, full of benevolence. 16:119
and if you do ill, it is against yourselves. 17:7
Then, when the promise of the second time came, [We raised up servants] to afflict your faces, to enter the Sanctuary as they had entered it the first time, and to utterly destroy whatever they seized. 17:7
Do not approach fornication: it is an indecency, and what a detestable path! 17:32
All that, its evil is, with your Guardian, detestable. 17:38
And what a detestable resting-place! 18:29
O sister of Harun, your father was not a man of evil, nor your mother unchaste." 19:28
And press your hand to your side: it will come out white, without harm — another sign, that We may show you some of Our greatest signs. 20:23
and evil will be that burden for them on the Day of Appearance! 20:101
So they both ate from it, and their shameful parts became visible to them, and they began to sew over themselves leaves from the garden. 20:121
they were indeed an evil people, transgressors. 21:74
they were indeed an evil people, so We drowned them all together. 21:77
Repel evil with what is better — 23:96
Yet they passed by the city upon which had fallen a dreadful rain: 25:40
it is an evil abode and an evil dwelling — 25:66
and whoever does that will meet with grave transgression: the punishment will be doubled for him on the Day of Appearance, and he will abide therein humiliated, except him who repents, believes, and does righteous work — those, God will change their bad deeds into good deeds, 25:70
Do her no harm, or the punishment of an immense day will seize you.' 26:156
how evil was the rain of those who had been warned! 26:173
Those are the ones for whom the worst punishment is due, and it is they, in the hereafter, who will be the greatest losers. 27:5
except one who has done wrong, then replaced evil with good; then, indeed, I am forgiving, the Benevolent. 27:11
Put your hand into your collar: it will come out white, without any harm, 27:12
He said [Salih]: 'O my people, why do you hasten evil before good? Will you not seek God's forgiveness, so that He may show you benevolence?' 27:46
how evil was the rain of those who had been warned! 27:58
Is it not He who answers the one in distress, when he calls upon Him, who removes evil, and who makes you successors on the earth? 27:62
And whoever comes with evil, then their faces will be tumbled into the fire. 27:90
Insert your hand into your collar, it will come out white, without any harm; 28:32
These will be given their reward twice over, for having endured, for having repelled evil with good, and for having spent from what We provided them. 28:54
and whoever comes with an evil deed — those who did evil deeds will be repaid only for what they used to do. 28:84
Do those who commit evil deeds think that they will outrun Us? 29:4
How bad their judgment is! 29:4
Those who have believed and done what is right — We will surely cover their bad deeds, and We will surely reward them according to the best of what they used to do. 29:7
When Our envoys came to Lut, he was distressed for them and felt helpless on their account; 29:33
Then the end of those who did evil was the worst, for they denied the signs of God and used to mock them. 30:10
but if evil befalls them for what their own hands have committed, behold, they despair. 30:36
Say, "Who is it that could shield you from God, should He intend for you harm, or intend for you benevolence?" 33:17
The one to whom the evil of his deed has been made appealing, so that he sees it as good [is he comparable to the rightly guided]? 35:8
And those who scheme evil deeds will have a severe punishment, 35:10
out of arrogance in the land, and evil scheming. 35:43
But evil scheming only encircles its own doers. 35:43
When it descends into their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of those who were warned! 37:177
He who shields himself with his face from the worst punishment on the Day of Appearance — 39:24
such is the reward of those who do good: God covers for them the worst of what they did, and repays them according to the best of what they used to do. 39:35
If those who did wrong possessed all that is on earth, and its like besides, they would offer it as ransom from the worst punishment on the Day of Appearance; 39:47
The evil consequences of what they earned will appear to them, 39:48
The evil consequences of what they earned struck them; 39:51
and those among these who do wrong will be struck by the evil consequences of what they earn, and they will not escape. 39:51
And God saves those who were mindful, by their triumph; no harm will touch them, nor will they grieve. 39:61
And protect them from evil deeds; 40:9
whoever You protect from evil deeds that day, You have shown him benevolence, 40:9
Thus was the evil of his deed made appealing to Fir'awn, and he was turned away from the path; 40:37
Whoever does an evil deed is repaid only its equivalent, 40:40
So God protected him from the evils of what they schemed, 40:45
and the worst punishment enveloped the clan of Fir'awn: 40:45
We surely help Our messengers and those who believe, in the present life and on the day the witnesses rise, the day the excuse of the wrongdoers will not benefit them; theirs will be the curse, and theirs the worst of homes. 40:52
The blind and the seeing are not equal, nor are those who believe and do what is right and the evildoer; 40:58
We will surely make those who deny taste a severe punishment, and We will surely repay them the worst of what they used to do. 41:27
The good deed and the bad deed are not equal. 41:34
and whoever does wrong, it is against his own Self; 41:46
It is He who accepts repentance from His obedient ones, pardons evil deeds, and knows what they do. 42:25
The recompense of an evil is an evil equal to it; 42:40
but if an evil befalls them because of what their hands have sent forth, then man is greatly given to denying. 42:48
and whoever does evil does it against himself, 45:15
Or do those who have committed evil deeds think that We will make them like those who believe and do righteous deeds, equal in their life and their death? 45:21
Evil is what they decide. 45:21
The evils of what they did will have appeared to them, 45:33
Those are the ones from whom We accept the best of what they did, and overlook their bad deeds, among the companions of the Garden — 46:16
And those who believe and do righteous deeds, and believe in what has been sent down to Muhammad — and it is the truth from their Guardian — He covers their bad deeds and sets right their condition. 47:2
Is he who stands upon clear evidence from his Guardian like one to whom the evil of his deed has been made attractive, and who follow their emotions [overriding reason]? 47:14
God is All-Knowing, All-Wise — so that He may admit the believing men and the believing women into gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, and cover their bad deeds; that is, with God, an immense triumph — and so that He may punish the hypocrites, men and women, and those who associate [others with God], men and women, who harbor an evil thought about God. 48:6
Upon them, the cycle of misfortune. 48:6
What an evil destination! 48:6
You rather thought that the Messenger and the believers would never return to their own people, and this was made appealing in your Cores; you harbored an evil thought, and you were a ruined people. 48:12
To God belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth, so that He may recompense those who did evil for what they did, and recompense those who did good with the best [reward]. 53:31
How evil is what they used to do! 58:15
If they gain the upper hand over you, they will be enemies to you, and extend against you their hands and their tongues with evil, 60:2
How evil is what they used to do! 63:2
And whoever believes in God and does righteousness, He will remove from him his misdeeds and admit him into gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein forever. 64:9
And whoever is mindful of God, He effaces his misdeeds and increases his reward. 65:5
O you who believe! Turn to God in sincere repentance. It may be that your Guardian will efface your misdeeds and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow, on the day when God will not disgrace the Prophet nor those who believed with him; their light will run before them and on their right. 66:8
Then, when they see it near, the faces of those who denied will be grieved, and it will be said: 'This is what you used to call for.' 67:27
