and it is given to them, resembling [what they knew]. 2:25
وَأُتُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُتَشَٰبِهًۭا -
They said: "Invoke your Guardian for us, that He make clear to us what she is: the cows all resemble one another to us, and we will, if God wills, be rightly guided." 2:70
قَالُوا۟ ٱدْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لَّنَا مَا هِىَ إِنَّ ٱلْبَقَرَ تَشَٰبَهَ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنَّآ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَمُهْتَدُونَ -
their cores resemble one another. 2:118
تَشَٰبَهَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ -
in it are signs of firm terms, which are the foundation of the Scripture, and others, subject to resemblance. 3:7
ءَايَٰتٌۭ مُّحْكَمَٰتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَٰبِهَٰتٌۭ -
As for those in whose cores is a deviation, they follow what, in the Scripture, lends itself to resemblance, in pursuit of discord and in pursuit of its interpretation; 3:7
فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغٌۭ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَٰبَهَ مِنْهُ ٱبْتِغَآءَ ٱلْفِتْنَةِ وَٱبْتِغَآءَ تَأْوِيلِهِۦ -
when they did not kill him and did not crucify him, but a likeness was given to them. 4:157
وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَٰكِن شُبِّهَ لَهُمْ -
And it is He who sent down water from the sky, and We brought forth by it the vegetation of every kind, and We brought forth from it a greenery, from which We bring forth grain in clustered ears, and, from the palm tree, from its spathe, clusters within reach, and gardens of vines, the olive and the pomegranate, resembling and not resembling. 6:99
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِۦ نَبَاتَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ فَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهُ خَضِرًۭا نُّخْرِجُ مِنْهُ حَبًّۭا مُّتَرَاكِبًۭا وَمِنَ ٱلنَّخْلِ مِن طَلْعِهَا قِنْوَانٌۭ دَانِيَةٌۭ وَجَنَّٰتٍۢ مِّنْ أَعْنَابٍۢ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُشْتَبِهًۭا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَٰبِهٍ -
And it is He who brought forth gardens, trellised and untrellised, as well as the palm tree and crops, of varied produce, and the olive and the pomegranate, resembling and not resembling. 6:141
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَ جَنَّٰتٍۢ مَّعْرُوشَٰتٍۢ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَٰتٍۢ وَٱلنَّخْلَ وَٱلزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُۥ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَٰبِهًۭا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَٰبِهٍۢ -
Or have they assigned to God associates who created as He creates, such that creation seems alike to them? 13:16
أَمْ جَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ خَلَقُوا۟ كَخَلْقِهِۦ فَتَشَٰبَهَ ٱلْخَلْقُ عَلَيْهِمْ -
God has sent down the most beautiful of discourse, a Scripture of verses corresponding to one another, repeated in cycles, 39:23
ٱللَّهُ نَزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْحَدِيثِ كِتَٰبًۭا مُّتَشَٰبِهًۭا مَّثَانِىَ
