• that is better for you with your Originator." 2:54

  ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ عِندَ بَارِئِكُمْ

• Those who have believed, the Reoriented, the Helpers, and the Aspirants — whoever has believed in God and the Last Day, and done righteous work, their reward is theirs with their Guardian, no fear upon them, and they will not grieve. 2:62

  إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ وَٱلصَّٰبِـِٔينَ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

• and when they are alone with one another, they say: "Will you relate to them what God has revealed to you, that they may dispute with you about it before your Guardian?" 2:76

  وَإِذَا خَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ قَالُوٓا۟ أَتُحَدِّثُونَهُم بِمَا فَتَحَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لِيُحَآجُّوكُم بِهِۦ عِندَ رَبِّكُمْ

• Woe, then, to those who write the Scripture with their hands, then say: "This is from God", to sell it for a small price! 2:79

  فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ يَكْتُبُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ هَٰذَا مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ لِيَشْتَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ثَمَنًۭا قَلِيلًۭا

• Say: "Have you taken an engagement with God — God never fails His engagement —, 2:80

  قُلْ أَتَّخَذْتُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ عَهْدًۭا فَلَن يُخْلِفَ ٱللَّهُ عَهْدَهُۥٓ

• And when a scripture came to them from God, confirming what is with them — though before they used to ask for victory over those who denied-disowned —, 2:89

  وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ كِتَٰبٌۭ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ مُصَدِّقٌۭ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ وَكَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ يَسْتَفْتِحُونَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟

• Say: "If the last abode, with God, is reserved exclusively for you, to the exclusion of mankind, wish, then, for death, if you are truthful." 2:94

  قُلْ إِن كَانَتْ لَكُمُ ٱلدَّارُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَالِصَةًۭ مِّن دُونِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا۟ ٱلْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

• And when a messenger came to them from God, confirming what is with them, a group of those to whom the Scripture was given cast the Scripture of God behind their backs, as if they did not know. 2:101

  وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۭ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ مُصَدِّقٌۭ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ كِتَٰبَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

• And had they believed and guarded themselves, a reward from God would indeed have been better, had they known. 2:103

  وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ لَمَثُوبَةٌۭ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌۭ لَّوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ

• out of envy, from themselves, after the truth has become clear to them. 2:109

  حَسَدًۭا مِّنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ

• And whatever good you advance for yourselves, you will find it with God. 2:110

  وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا۟ لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍۢ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• But rather: whoever renders his direction integral toward God, while doing good, has his reward with his Guardian; no fear upon them, and they will not be grieved. 2:112

  بَلَىٰ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُۥ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌۭ فَلَهُۥٓ أَجْرُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

• And who, then, is more unjust than one who hides a testimony he holds from God? 2:140

  وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن كَتَمَ شَهَٰدَةً عِندَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ

• And do not fight them near the inviolable place of prostration, until they fight you there; 2:191

  وَلَا تُقَٰتِلُوهُمْ عِندَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ حَتَّىٰ يُقَٰتِلُوكُمْ فِيهِ

• And when you surge forth from Arafat, remember God near the Inviolable Place of remembrance, 2:198

  فَإِذَآ أَفَضْتُم مِّنْ عَرَفَٰتٍۢ فَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عِندَ ٱلْمَشْعَرِ ٱلْحَرَامِ

• but to turn away from the path of God, deny-disown it, [turn away] from the inviolable place of prostration, and expel its inhabitants from it, is graver still with God; 2:217

  وَصَدٌّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَكُفْرٌۢ بِهِۦ وَٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَإِخْرَاجُ أَهْلِهِۦ مِنْهُ أَكْبَرُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• Who, then, intercedes with Him, except with His permission? 2:255

  مَن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۦ

• Those who spend their wealth in the way of God, then do not follow what they spent with either reminder or harm, have their reward with their Guardian; no fear upon them, and they will not grieve. 2:262

  ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ لَا يُتْبِعُونَ مَآ أَنفَقُوا۟ مَنًّۭا وَلَآ أَذًۭى لَّهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

• Those who spend their wealth by night and by day, in secret and openly, have their reward with their Guardian; no fear upon them, and they will not grieve. 2:274

  ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ سِرًّۭا وَعَلَانِيَةًۭ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

• Those who have believed, done righteous deeds, maintained the Contact, and given the purifying alms, have their reward with their Guardian; no fear upon them, and they will not grieve. 2:277

  إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

• That is more equitable with God, more upright for testimony, and closer to not doubting — except if it is an immediate trade that you conduct among yourselves: no blame then upon you for not writing it down. 2:282

  ذَٰلِكُمْ أَقْسَطُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَقْوَمُ لِلشَّهَٰدَةِ وَأَدْنَىٰٓ أَلَّا تَرْتَابُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَ تِجَٰرَةً حَاضِرَةًۭ تُدِيرُونَهَا بَيْنَكُمْ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَلَّا تَكْتُبُوهَا

• And those who are firmly rooted in knowledge say: "We believe in it; all of it comes from our Guardian"; 3:7

  وَٱلرَّٰسِخُونَ فِى ٱلْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ كُلٌّۭ مِّنْ عِندِ رَبِّنَا

• but it is with God that the best destination is found. 3:14

  وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسْنُ ٱلْمَـَٔابِ

• For those who guard themselves, with their Guardian, gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide eternally, purified spouses, and a good pleasure from God." 3:15

  لِلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْا۟ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَأَزْوَٰجٌۭ مُّطَهَّرَةٌۭ وَرِضْوَٰنٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ

• The Law, with God, is being true to Him alone. 3:19

  إِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْإِسْلَٰمُ

• Every time Zakariya entered upon her in the place of prayer, he found near her a provision. 3:37

  كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا ٱلْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِندَهَا رِزْقًۭا

• She said: "It comes from God. 3:37

  قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ

• The likeness of Issa, with God, is like that of Adam: 3:59

  إِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيسَىٰ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ ءَادَمَ

• Say: "The [true] guidance is the guidance of God" — [they say this] lest anyone be given the like of what you were given, or lest they dispute with you before your Guardian. 3:73

  قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْهُدَىٰ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ أَن يُؤْتَىٰٓ أَحَدٌۭ مِّثْلَ مَآ أُوتِيتُمْ أَوْ يُحَآجُّوكُمْ عِندَ رَبِّكُمْ

• and they say: "This is from God", 3:78

  وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ

• when it is not from God, 3:78

  وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ

• But victory comes only from God, the All-Powerful, the Wise, so that He may cut off a part of those who deny-disown, or lay them low, and they depart disappointed. You have, in this matter, no power: either He turns toward them with clemency, or He punishes them, for they are unjust. 3:128

  وَمَا ٱلنَّصْرُ إِلَّا مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ لِيَقْطَعَ طَرَفًۭا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَوْ يَكْبِتَهُمْ فَيَنقَلِبُوا۟ خَآئِبِينَ لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ شَىْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَٰلِمُونَ

• O you who have believed! do not be like those who denied-disowned, and who say of their brothers, when they travel through the land or go off on an expedition: "Had they stayed with us, they would not have died, and would not have been killed" — so that God may make of it a bitter regret in their cores. 3:156

  يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَقَالُوا۟ لِإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ إِذَا ضَرَبُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَوْ كَانُوا۟ غُزًّۭى لَّوْ كَانُوا۟ عِندَنَا مَا مَاتُوا۟ وَمَا قُتِلُوا۟ لِيَجْعَلَ ٱللَّهُ ذَٰلِكَ حَسْرَةًۭ فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ

• They have degrees with God. 3:163

  هُمْ دَرَجَٰتٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• Say: "This comes from yourselves." 3:165

  قُلْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِكُمْ

• No, they are alive, with their Guardian, provided [with blessings], rejoicing in what God has given them of His favor, and rejoicing for those who, remaining behind them, have not yet joined them: no fear upon them, and they will not grieve. 3:170

  بَلْ أَحْيَآءٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ فَرِحِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا۟ بِهِم مِّنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

• Those who have emigrated, been expelled from their dwellings, been persecuted on My way, fought, and been killed, I will certainly cover their evil deeds, and I will certainly admit them into gardens beneath which rivers flow" — a reward from God. 3:195

  فَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا۟ وَأُخْرِجُوا۟ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمْ وَأُوذُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِى وَقَٰتَلُوا۟ وَقُتِلُوا۟ لَأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ثَوَابًۭا مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ

• And it is with God that the best reward is found. 3:195

  وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسْنُ ٱلثَّوَابِ

• But those who have guarded themselves toward their Guardian will have gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide eternally, as a welcome from God. 3:198

  لَٰكِنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْا۟ رَبَّهُمْ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا نُزُلًۭا مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ

• And what is with God is better for the good. 3:198

  وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌۭ لِّلْأَبْرَارِ

• Those are the ones whose reward is found with their Guardian. 3:199

  أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ

• And if good befalls them, they say: "This is from God"; 4:78

  وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌۭ يَقُولُوا۟ هَٰذِهِۦ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ

• and if evil befalls them, they say: "This is from you." 4:78

  وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌۭ يَقُولُوا۟ هَٰذِهِۦ مِنْ عِندِكَ

• Say: "All comes from God." 4:78

  قُلْ كُلٌّۭ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ

• but when they leave you, a group among them schemes by night something quite different from what they say. 4:81

  فَإِذَا بَرَزُوا۟ مِنْ عِندِكَ بَيَّتَ طَآئِفَةٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ غَيْرَ ٱلَّذِى تَقُولُ

• Had it come from other than God, they would have found in it much divergence. 4:82

  وَلَوْ كَانَ مِنْ عِندِ غَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ لَوَجَدُوا۟ فِيهِ ٱخْتِلَٰفًۭا كَثِيرًۭا

• and do not say to one who offers you peace: "You are not a believer", coveting the fleeting goods of the present life; but, with God, there are abundant spoils. 4:94

  وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ لِمَنْ أَلْقَىٰٓ إِلَيْكُمُ ٱلسَّلَٰمَ لَسْتَ مُؤْمِنًۭا تَبْتَغُونَ عَرَضَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا فَعِندَ ٱللَّهِ مَغَانِمُ كَثِيرَةٌۭ

• Whoever wants the reward of the present life — with God is the reward of the present life and of the last life. 4:134

  مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ثَوَابَ ٱلدُّنْيَا فَعِندَ ٱللَّهِ ثَوَابُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ

• Do they seek power with them? Power belongs to God in its entirety. 4:139

  أَيَبْتَغُونَ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْعِزَّةَ فَإِنَّ ٱلْعِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًۭا

• And how would they take you as judge, when they have the Tawrah, wherein is the judgment of God, and then they turn away from it? 5:43

  وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِندَهُمُ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ فِيهَا حُكْمُ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ

• it may then be that God brings the decisive judgment, or a command from Himself, and they find themselves, for what they hid within themselves, full of regret. 5:52

  فَعَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَأْتِىَ بِٱلْفَتْحِ أَوْ أَمْرٍۢ مِّنْ عِندِهِۦ فَيُصْبِحُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَسَرُّوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ نَٰدِمِينَ

• Say: "Shall I inform you of a reward worse than that, with God? He whom God has cursed, with whom He was angered, and of whom He made apes and swine, and he who obeyed the Tyrant — 5:60

  قُلْ هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّۢ مِّن ذَٰلِكَ مَثُوبَةً عِندَ ٱللَّهِ مَن لَّعَنَهُ ٱللَّهُ وَغَضِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْقِرَدَةَ وَٱلْخَنَازِيرَ وَعَبَدَ ٱلطَّٰغُوتَ

• and a fixed term, with Him. 6:2

  وَأَجَلٌۭ مُّسَمًّى عِندَهُۥ

• Say: "I do not tell you that I hold the treasures of God, nor that I know what escapes the senses, nor do I tell you that I am an Agent; 6:50

  قُل لَّآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِى خَزَآئِنُ ٱللَّهِ وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ ٱلْغَيْبَ وَلَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ إِنِّى مَلَكٌ

• I do not hold what you seek to hasten. 6:57

  مَا عِندِى مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦٓ

• Say: "If I held what you seek to hasten, the matter would already have been settled between me and you." 6:58

  قُل لَّوْ أَنَّ عِندِى مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦ لَقُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ

• He holds the keys of what escapes the senses: none knows them, save Him. 6:59

  وَعِندَهُۥ مَفَاتِحُ ٱلْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَآ إِلَّا هُوَ

• Say: "The signs are only with God"; 6:109

  قُلْ إِنَّمَا ٱلْءَايَٰتُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• A humiliation before God, and a severe punishment, will befall those who cut themselves off, for having schemed. 6:124

  سَيُصِيبُ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ صَغَارٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَعَذَابٌۭ شَدِيدٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَمْكُرُونَ

• They have the Abode of Peace, with their Guardian, 6:127

  لَهُمْ دَارُ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ

• Say: "Do you have any knowledge, that you could bring forth for us? 6:148

  قُلْ هَلْ عِندَكُم مِّنْ عِلْمٍۢ فَتُخْرِجُوهُ لَنَآ

• Maintain your directions toward Him at every moment of prostration, 7:29

  وَأَقِيمُوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍۢ

• O children of Adam! take your adornment at every moment of prostration, and eat and drink, 7:31

  يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ خُذُوا۟ زِينَتَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍۢ وَكُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟

• Is it not that in reality their omen is with God? 7:131

  أَلَآ إِنَّمَا طَٰٓئِرُهُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• And when the defilement fell upon them, they said: "O Moussa! invoke for us your Guardian, by the covenant He has made with you; if you remove the defilement from us, we will certainly believe you, and we will certainly let the Children of Israel go with you." 7:134

  وَلَمَّا وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّجْزُ قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَى ٱدْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِندَكَ لَئِن كَشَفْتَ عَنَّا ٱلرِّجْزَ لَنُؤْمِنَنَّ لَكَ وَلَنُرْسِلَنَّ مَعَكَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

• I will inscribe it, then, for those who guard themselves, give the purifying alms, and who believe in Our signs, those who follow the messenger, the prophet without a prior Scripture, whom they find written down with them in the Tawrah and the Injil, who orders them what is recognized and forbids them what is disavowed, makes lawful for them the good things and forbids them the vile things, and removes from them their burden and the shackles that were upon them. 7:157

  فَسَأَكْتُبُهَا لِلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ ٱلرَّسُولَ ٱلنَّبِىَّ ٱلْأُمِّىَّ ٱلَّذِى يَجِدُونَهُۥ مَكْتُوبًا عِندَهُمْ فِى ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ وَٱلْإِنجِيلِ يَأْمُرُهُم بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَىٰهُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَيُحِلُّ لَهُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ وَيُحَرِّمُ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْخَبَٰٓئِثَ وَيَضَعُ عَنْهُمْ إِصْرَهُمْ وَٱلْأَغْلَٰلَ ٱلَّتِى كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ

• Say: "Knowledge of it is only with my Guardian; 7:187

  قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّى

• Say: "Knowledge of it is only with God, 7:187

  قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• Those who are with your Guardian are not arrogant about obeying Him, they glorify Him, and it is before Him that they prostrate. 7:206

  إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَيُسَبِّحُونَهُۥ وَلَهُۥ يَسْجُدُونَ

• They have degrees with their Guardian, a forgiveness, and a generous provision. 8:4

  لَّهُمْ دَرَجَٰتٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَمَغْفِرَةٌۭ وَرِزْقٌۭ كَرِيمٌۭ

• But victory comes only from God. 8:10

  وَمَا ٱلنَّصْرُ إِلَّا مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ

• The worst of living beings, with God, are the deaf, the mute, those who do not reason. 8:22

  إِنَّ شَرَّ ٱلدَّوَآبِّ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلْبُكْمُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ

• And know that your possessions and your children are but a trial, and that with God there is an immense reward. 8:28

  وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَآ أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ وَأَوْلَٰدُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌۭ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥٓ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

• And when they said: "O God! if this is indeed the truth from You, then rain down upon us stones from the sky, or bring us a painful punishment." 8:32

  وَإِذْ قَالُوا۟ ٱللَّهُمَّ إِن كَانَ هَٰذَا هُوَ ٱلْحَقَّ مِنْ عِندِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ أَوِ ٱئْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍۢ

• And their Contact, near the House, was nothing but a brawl mixed with a diversion [from the path of God]. 8:35

  وَمَا كَانَ صَلَاتُهُمْ عِندَ ٱلْبَيْتِ إِلَّا مُكَآءًۭ وَتَصْدِيَةًۭ

• The worst of living beings, with God, are those who denied-disowned and who, henceforth, do not believe — those with whom you made a pact, and who, every time, break their pact, and who do not guard themselves. 8:56

  إِنَّ شَرَّ ٱلدَّوَآبِّ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتَّ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَهُمْ فِى كُلِّ مَرَّةٍۢ وَهُمْ لَا يَتَّقُونَ

• How could there be, for the associators, a pact with God and with His Messenger — except those with whom you made a pact near the inviolable place of prostration? As long as they stand straight with you, stand straight with them. 9:7

  كَيْفَ يَكُونُ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ عَهْدٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَعِندَ رَسُولِهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّمْ عِندَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ فَمَا ٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟ لَكُمْ فَٱسْتَقِيمُوا۟ لَهُمْ

• They are not equal in the sight of God. 9:19

  لَا يَسْتَوُۥنَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• Those who have believed, emigrated, and striven in the way of God with their possessions and their Selves have a greater rank with God, 9:20

  ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَهَاجَرُوا۟ وَجَٰهَدُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ أَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةً عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• With God there is an immense reward. 9:22

  إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥٓ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

• The number of months, with God, is twelve months, in God's Code, since the day He created the heavens and the earth; 9:36

  إِنَّ عِدَّةَ ٱلشُّهُورِ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًۭا فِى كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ

• And we, we await for you that God strike you with a punishment from Himself, or by our hands. 9:52

  وَنَحْنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمْ أَن يُصِيبَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِعَذَابٍۢ مِّنْ عِندِهِۦٓ أَوْ بِأَيْدِينَا

• And among the notables is one who believes in God and the Last Day, and who regards what he spends as a means of drawing near to God and the visits of the messenger. 9:99

  وَمِنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ وَيَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنفِقُ قُرُبَٰتٍ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَصَلَوَٰتِ ٱلرَّسُولِ

• and give good news to those who have believed that they have, with their Guardian, a firm standing of truth? 10:2

  وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَنَّ لَهُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ

• They obey, besides God, what neither harms nor benefits them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with God." 10:18

  وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُفَعَٰٓؤُنَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• You have no authority for this. 10:68

  إِنْ عِندَكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍۭ بِهَٰذَآ

• When the truth came to them from Us, they said: "This is indeed a manifest illusion." 10:76

  فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِنْ عِندِنَا قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

• He said: "O my people, do you see? If I rely on a clear proof from my Guardian, and He has granted me a benevolence from Him, which has remained hidden from you, shall We impose it upon you while you detest it? 11:28

  قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّى وَءَاتَىٰنِى رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِهِۦ فَعُمِّيَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنُلْزِمُكُمُوهَا وَأَنتُمْ لَهَا كَٰرِهُونَ

• And I do not tell you that I hold God's treasures, nor that I know what escapes the senses, nor that I am an Agent; 11:31

  وَلَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِى خَزَآئِنُ ٱللَّهِ وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ ٱلْغَيْبَ وَلَآ أَقُولُ إِنِّى مَلَكٌۭ

• And such was Aad: they denied the signs of their Guardian, disobeyed His envoys, and followed the command of every stubborn tyrant. 11:59

  وَتِلْكَ عَادٌۭ جَحَدُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَصَوْا۟ رُسُلَهُۥ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍۢ

• When Our command came, We made the top [of their city] its bottom, and rained upon it stones of hardened clay, layered, marked with your Guardian: 11:83

  فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةًۭ مِّن سِجِّيلٍۢ مَّنضُودٍۢ مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ

• they came to their father in the evening, weeping, and said: "O our father, we went off racing and left Youssof with our belongings, and the wolf devoured him." 12:17

  وَجَآءُوٓ أَبَاهُمْ عِشَآءًۭ يَبْكُونَ قَالُوا۟ يَٰٓأَبَانَآ إِنَّا ذَهَبْنَا نَسْتَبِقُ وَتَرَكْنَا يُوسُفَ عِندَ مَتَٰعِنَا فَأَكَلَهُ ٱلذِّئْبُ

• And he said to the one of the two he thought would be saved: "Remember me to your master." 12:42

  وَقَالَ لِلَّذِى ظَنَّ أَنَّهُۥ نَاجٍۢ مِّنْهُمَا ٱذْكُرْنِى عِندَ رَبِّكَ

• And if you do not bring him to me, you will have no more measure with me, and you shall not approach me again." 12:60

  فَإِن لَّمْ تَأْتُونِى بِهِۦ فَلَا كَيْلَ لَكُمْ عِندِى وَلَا تَقْرَبُونِ

• He said: "May God preserve us from taking anyone other than the one with whom we found our property: we would then indeed be unjust." 12:79

  قَالَ مَعَاذَ ٱللَّهِ أَن نَّأْخُذَ إِلَّا مَن وَجَدْنَا مَتَٰعَنَا عِندَهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّظَٰلِمُونَ

• and everything, with Him, is according to a measure. 13:8

  وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍ عِندَهُۥ بِمِقْدَارٍ

• and with Him is the Source of the Scripture. 13:39

  وَعِندَهُۥٓ أُمُّ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ

• Say: "God suffices as witness between me and you, and whoever holds the knowledge of the Scripture." 13:43

  قُلْ كَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدًۢا بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَمَنْ عِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ

• and every stubborn tyrant was disappointed; behind him, Jahannam, and he will be given to drink there a purulent water, which he will gulp down without almost being able to swallow it; death will come to him from every side without his dying; and behind that, an implacable punishment. 14:17

  وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍۢ مِّن وَرَآئِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ وَيُسْقَىٰ مِن مَّآءٍۢ صَدِيدٍۢ يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُۥ وَيَأْتِيهِ ٱلْمَوْتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍۢ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٍۢ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِۦ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٌۭ

• Our Guardian, I have settled part of my progeny in a valley without cultivation, near Your Forbidden House, 14:37

  رَّبَّنَآ إِنِّىٓ أَسْكَنتُ مِن ذُرِّيَّتِى بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِى زَرْعٍ عِندَ بَيْتِكَ ٱلْمُحَرَّمِ

• but their plot is [known] with God, 14:46

  وَعِندَ ٱللَّهِ مَكْرُهُمْ

• There is nothing whose treasures We do not hold, 15:21

  وَإِن مِّن شَىْءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَآئِنُهُۥ

• what is with God is better for you, if you knew. 16:95

  إِنَّمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

• What is with you is exhausted, 16:96

  مَا عِندَكُمْ يَنفَدُ

• and what is with God endures. 16:96

  وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ بَاقٍۢ

• If either of them, or both, reach old age with you, do not say to them "ugh!" and do not rebuke them, 17:23

  إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ ٱلْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَآ أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا فَلَا تَقُل لَّهُمَآ أُفٍّۢ وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا

• All that, its evil is, with your Guardian, detestable. 17:38

  كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ كَانَ سَيِّئُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّكَ مَكْرُوهًۭا

• and the enduring, righteous deeds are, with your Guardian, better in reward and better in hope. 18:46

  وَٱلْبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًۭا وَخَيْرٌ أَمَلًۭا

• So they returned upon their own tracks, retracing them, and found a the obedient one among Our obedient ones, to whom We had granted a benevolence from Us and to whom We had taught, from Us, a knowledge. 18:65

  فَٱرْتَدَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَارِهِمَا قَصَصًۭا فَوَجَدَا عَبْدًۭا مِّنْ عِبَادِنَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُ رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَعَلَّمْنَٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا عِلْمًۭا

• We established him on the earth, and gave him, of everything, a link; he then followed a link, until, having reached the setting-place of the sun, he found it setting in a boiling spring, and found by it a people. 18:86

  إِنَّا مَكَّنَّا لَهُۥ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ سَبَبًۭا فَأَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِى عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍۢ وَوَجَدَ عِندَهَا قَوْمًۭا

• and he was, with his Guardian, well-pleasing. 19:55

  وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ مَرْضِيًّۭا

• And the enduring, righteous deeds are, with your Guardian, better in reward and better in outcome. 19:76

  وَٱلْبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًۭا وَخَيْرٌۭ مَّرَدًّا

• Have you seen the one who denied Our signs and said: "I will surely be given wealth and children"? Has he pierced what escapes his presence, or taken a pact with the All-Benevolent? By no means! 19:79

  أَفَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى كَفَرَ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالًۭا وَوَلَدًا أَطَّلَعَ ٱلْغَيْبَ أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ عَهْدًۭا كَلَّا

• They will hold no intercession, except one who has taken a pact with the All-Benevolent. 19:87

  لَّا يَمْلِكُونَ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ عَهْدًۭا

• He said: «Knowledge of them rests with my Guardian, in a record. 20:52

  قَالَ عِلْمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّى فِى كِتَٰبٍۢ

• Those who are with Him are not too proud to obey Him, nor do they grow weary; 21:19

  وَمَنْ عِندَهُۥ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَلَا يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ

• and We restored his family to him, and as many again with them, as a benevolence from Us, and a remembrance for the obedient ones. 21:84

  وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ أَهْلَهُۥ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَٰبِدِينَ

• And whoever magnifies the sacred prohibitions of God, it is better for him with his Guardian. 22:30

  وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ حُرُمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ

• And indeed, a day with your Guardian is like a thousand years of those you count. 22:47

  وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍۢ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ

• And whoever invokes, with God, another deity, having no proof of it, his account rests only with his Guardian. 23:117

  وَمَن يَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ لَا بُرْهَٰنَ لَهُۥ بِهِۦ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦٓ

• Since they did not bring the witnesses, those are, in the sight of God, the liars. 24:13

  فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا۟ بِٱلشُّهَدَآءِ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُمُ ٱلْكَٰذِبُونَ

• And were it not for the favor of God upon you and His benevolence, in the present life and the hereafter, an immense punishment would have touched you for what you engaged in, when you received it with your tongues and said with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge, deeming it trivial while it is, in the sight of God, immense. 24:15

  وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِى مَآ أَفَضْتُمْ فِيهِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ إِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَهُۥ بِأَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَتَقُولُونَ بِأَفْوَاهِكُم مَّا لَيْسَ لَكُم بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ وَتَحْسَبُونَهُۥ هَيِّنًۭا وَهُوَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ عَظِيمٌۭ

• And those who deny, their deeds are like a mirage in a desert plain, which the thirsty one takes for water, until, when he reaches it, he finds nothing, but he finds God there, who settles his account in full. 24:39

  وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ كَسَرَابٍۭ بِقِيعَةٍۢ يَحْسَبُهُ ٱلظَّمْـَٔانُ مَآءً حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَهُۥ لَمْ يَجِدْهُ شَيْـًۭٔا وَوَجَدَ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥ فَوَفَّىٰهُ حِسَابَهُۥ

• And when you enter houses, greet one another with a greeting from God, blessed and good. 24:61

  فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُم بُيُوتًۭا فَسَلِّمُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ تَحِيَّةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ مُبَٰرَكَةًۭ طَيِّبَةًۭ

• The one who possessed knowledge of the Code said: 'I will bring it to you before even your glance returns to you.' 27:40

  قَالَ ٱلَّذِى عِندَهُۥ عِلْمٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِيكَ بِهِۦ قَبْلَ أَن يَرْتَدَّ إِلَيْكَ طَرْفُكَ

• When he saw it placed beside him, he said: 'This is from the favor of my Guardian, to test me: will I acknowledge, or will I deny? 27:40

  فَلَمَّا رَءَاهُ مُسْتَقِرًّا عِندَهُۥ قَالَ هَٰذَا مِن فَضْلِ رَبِّى لِيَبْلُوَنِىٓ ءَأَشْكُرُ أَمْ أَكْفُرُ

• He said [Salih]: 'Your omen is with God; 27:47

  قَالَ طَٰٓئِرُكُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• and if you complete ten, that will be of your own accord; 28:27

  فَإِنْ أَتْمَمْتَ عَشْرًۭا فَمِنْ عِندِكَ

• Moussa said: "My Guardian knows best who comes with guidance from Him, and to whom the [happy] outcome of the Abode will belong — 28:37

  وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ رَبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن جَآءَ بِٱلْهُدَىٰ مِنْ عِندِهِۦ وَمَن تَكُونُ لَهُۥ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلدَّارِ

• [so, when the truth came to them from Us,] they said: "Why was he not given the like of what was given to Moussa?" 28:48

  فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِنْ عِندِنَا قَالُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُوتِىَ مِثْلَ مَآ أُوتِىَ مُوسَىٰٓ

• Say: "Bring, then, a scripture from God more guiding than these two, and I will follow it, if you are truthful." 28:49

  قُلْ فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَٰبٍۢ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ هُوَ أَهْدَىٰ مِنْهُمَآ أَتَّبِعْهُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

• what is with God is better and more lasting. 28:60

  وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ

• He said: "It has only been given to me on account of a knowledge that is mine." 28:78

  قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أُوتِيتُهُۥ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عِندِىٓ

• so seek provision with God, 29:17

  فَٱبْتَغُوا۟ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرِّزْقَ

• Say: "The signs are only with God; I am only a clear warner." 29:50

  قُلْ إِنَّمَا ٱلْءَايَٰتُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌ

• And whatever you give as a loan with guaranteed principal, that you may increase it through the wealth of people, does not increase with God; 30:39

  وَمَآ ءَاتَيْتُم مِّن رِّبًۭا لِّيَرْبُوَا۟ فِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَلَا يَرْبُوا۟ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• God certainly has knowledge of the Hour, 31:34

  إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ

• And if you could see when the severed, heads bowed before their Guardian, [will say], "Our Guardian, we have seen and heard, so return us; we will do righteousness — we are now certain." 32:12

  وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ نَاكِسُوا۟ رُءُوسِهِمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ رَبَّنَآ أَبْصَرْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا فَٱرْجِعْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَٰلِحًا إِنَّا مُوقِنُونَ

• Call them by their fathers' names: that is more equitable with God. 33:5

  ٱدْعُوهُمْ لِءَابَآئِهِمْ هُوَ أَقْسَطُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• that is, with God, momentous. 33:53

  إِنَّ ذَٰلِكُمْ كَانَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ عَظِيمًا

• Say, "Its knowledge is only with God, 33:63

  قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ

• and he was, with God, honorable. 33:69

  وَكَانَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَجِيهًۭا

• And intercession does not benefit [anyone] with Him, except for one to whom He has given permission, 34:23

  وَلَا تَنفَعُ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةُ عِندَهُۥٓ إِلَّا لِمَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُۥ

• If only you could see when the wrongdoers are made to stand before their Guardian, throwing the word back at one another — 34:31

  وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ مَوْقُوفُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يَرْجِعُ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ٱلْقَوْلَ

• And it is not your wealth or your children that bring you nearer to Us in closeness — except for one who believed and did righteous deeds: those will have a doubled reward for what they did, and they will be secure in the elevated chambers. 34:37

  وَمَآ أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَٰدُكُم بِٱلَّتِى تُقَرِّبُكُمْ عِندَنَا زُلْفَىٰٓ إِلَّا مَنْ ءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ جَزَآءُ ٱلضِّعْفِ بِمَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَهُمْ فِى ٱلْغُرُفَٰتِ ءَامِنُونَ

• and the denial of the deniers only increases them, before their Guardian, in aversion, 35:39

  وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ كُفْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا مَقْتًۭا

• and beside them will be companions of reserved, clear gaze, as though they were closely guarded eggs. 37:49

  وَعِندَهُمْ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ عِينٌۭ كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌۭ مَّكْنُونٌۭ

• And they indeed used to say: "If only we had a reminder from the earlier peoples, we would have been the purified obedient ones of God." 37:169

  وَإِن كَانُوا۟ لَيَقُولُونَ لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ

• Or do they hold the treasures of the benevolence of your Guardian, the All-Powerful, the Great Bestower? 38:9

  أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْوَهَّابِ

• and he has, with Us, a place of nearness and a beautiful abode [of return]. 38:25

  وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلْفَىٰ وَحُسْنَ مَـَٔابٍۢ

• And they are, with Us, among the chosen, the best. 38:47

  وَإِنَّهُمْ عِندَنَا لَمِنَ ٱلْمُصْطَفَيْنَ ٱلْأَخْيَارِ

• And beside them will be companions of reserved gaze, fertile and of shared stock. 38:52

  وَعِندَهُمْ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ أَتْرَابٌ

• You will die, and they will die; then, on the Day of Appearance, you will dispute before your Guardian. 39:31

  إِنَّكَ مَيِّتٌۭ وَإِنَّهُم مَّيِّتُونَ ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ عِندَ رَبِّكُمْ تَخْتَصِمُونَ

• They will have whatever they wish, with their Guardian; 39:34

  لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ

• Then, when he brought them the truth from Us, they said: "Kill the sons of those who believed with him, and violate the modesty of their women"; 40:25

  فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ مِنْ عِندِنَا قَالُوا۟ ٱقْتُلُوٓا۟ أَبْنَآءَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ وَٱسْتَحْيُوا۟ نِسَآءَهُمْ

• it is a grave thing in detestation, in the sight of God and of those who believe. 40:35

  كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَعِندَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟

• Then, when their messengers brought them clear proofs, they rejoiced in the knowledge they already possessed; 40:83

  فَلَمَّا جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَرِحُوا۟ بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ

• If they are arrogant, then those who are with your Guardian glorify Him night and day, without growing weary. 41:38

  فَإِنِ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فَٱلَّذِينَ عِندَ رَبِّكَ يُسَبِّحُونَ لَهُۥ بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْـَٔمُونَ

• And if We let him taste benevolence from Us after hardship that touched him, he will surely say: "This is mine by right, and I do not think the Hour is coming; and if I am returned to my Guardian, I will indeed have the best with Him." 41:50

  وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَٰهُ رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ هَٰذَا لِى وَمَآ أَظُنُّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ قَآئِمَةًۭ وَلَئِن رُّجِعْتُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّىٓ إِنَّ لِى عِندَهُۥ لَلْحُسْنَىٰ

• Say: "Have you considered? If this is from God and you deny it, who is more astray than one who is in deep estrangement?" 41:52

  قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كَانَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ كَفَرْتُم بِهِۦ مَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنْ هُوَ فِى شِقَاقٍۭ بَعِيدٍۢ

• And those who dispute about God after He has been answered, their argument is void before their Guardian, and upon them is wrath, 42:16

  وَٱلَّذِينَ يُحَآجُّونَ فِى ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ٱسْتُجِيبَ لَهُۥ حُجَّتُهُمْ دَاحِضَةٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَبٌۭ

• they will have, with their Guardian, whatever they desire: 42:22

  لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ

• but what is with God is better and more lasting, for those who believe and rely upon their Guardian; 42:36

  وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

• while the Hereafter, with your Guardian, is for those who are mindful [of Him]. 43:35

  وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

• And they said: "O worker of illusion, call upon your Guardian for us by virtue of what He has pledged to you; we shall indeed be well guided." 43:49

  وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰٓأَيُّهَ ٱلسَّاحِرُ ٱدْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِندَكَ إِنَّنَا لَمُهْتَدُونَ

• and with Him is the knowledge of the Hour; 43:85

  وَعِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ

• In it, every wise matter is decided, a command from Us. 44:5

  فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ أَمْرًۭا مِّنْ عِندِنَآ

• Say: "Have you considered: if this is from God and you deny it, while a witness among the Children of Israel has testified to its conformity and believed, whereas you are arrogant..." 46:10

  قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كَانَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَفَرْتُم بِهِۦ وَشَهِدَ شَاهِدٌۭ مِّنۢ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَلَىٰ مِثْلِهِۦ فَـَٔامَنَ وَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ

• He said: "The knowledge [of that] is with God alone; I convey to you what I was sent with, but I see you to be a people who are ignorant." 46:23

  قَالَ إِنَّمَا ٱلْعِلْمُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَأُبَلِّغُكُم مَّآ أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِۦ وَلَٰكِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰكُمْ قَوْمًۭا تَجْهَلُونَ

• And among them are those who listen to you, until, when they leave your presence, they say to those given knowledge: "What did he say just now?" 47:16

  وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا خَرَجُوا۟ مِنْ عِندِكَ قَالُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ مَاذَا قَالَ ءَانِفًا

• God is All-Knowing, All-Wise — so that He may admit the believing men and the believing women into gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, and cover their bad deeds; that is, with God, an immense triumph — and so that He may punish the hypocrites, men and women, and those who associate [others with God], men and women, who harbor an evil thought about God. 48:6

  وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًۭا لِّيُدْخِلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَيُكَفِّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًۭا وَيُعَذِّبَ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَٱلْمُشْرِكَٰتِ ٱلظَّآنِّينَ بِٱللَّهِ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوْءِ

• Those who lower their voices in the presence of the Messenger of God are those whose Cores God has tested for guardedness. 49:3

  إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَغُضُّونَ أَصْوَٰتَهُمْ عِندَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱمْتَحَنَ ٱللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ

• The most noble of you, with God, is the most pious. 49:13

  إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَتْقَىٰكُمْ

• We know what the earth diminishes of them, and We have a record that keeps everything. 50:4

  قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ حَفِيظٌۢ

• Cast into Jahannam, both of you, every [being] who persistently denies, obstructive of good, an aggressor, a sower of doubt, who set up, alongside God, another deity — cast him then into the severe punishment. 50:26

  أَلْقِيَا فِى جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍۢ مَّنَّاعٍۢ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍۢ مُّرِيبٍ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِ

• They said: 'We have been sent to a severed people, to pour down upon them stones of clay, marked with your Guardian for the excessive people.' 51:34

  قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍۢ مُّجْرِمِينَ لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةًۭ مِّن طِينٍۢ مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ

• Do they possess the treasuries of your Guardian, or are they the absolute masters? 52:37

  أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُصَۣيْطِرُونَ

• Do they possess what escapes the senses, so as to write it down? 52:41

  أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ

• He saw him, in truth, another time, near the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary — near which lies the Garden of Refuge — when the Lote Tree was enveloped by what enveloped it. 53:16

  وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ عِندَ سِدْرَةِ ٱلْمُنتَهَىٰ عِندَهَا جَنَّةُ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰٓ إِذْ يَغْشَى ٱلسِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَىٰ

• Does he have knowledge of what escapes the senses, so that he sees? 53:35

  أَعِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَىٰٓ

• a favor from Us. 54:35

  نِّعْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِنَا

• The mindful are indeed in gardens and by a river, in a seat of truth, near a Sovereign, All-Capable. 54:55

  إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَنَهَرٍۢ فِى مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٍۢ مُّقْتَدِرٍۭ

• And the witnesses, with their Guardian. 57:19

  وَٱلشُّهَدَآءُ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ

• It is greatly abhorrent to God that you say what you do not do. 61:3

  كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَن تَقُولُوا۟ مَا لَا تَفْعَلُونَ

• Say: What is with God is better than diversion and than trade. 62:11

  قُلْ مَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهْوِ وَمِنَ ٱلتِّجَٰرَةِ

• They are the ones who say: Do not spend on those who are with the messenger of God until they disperse. 63:7

  هُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ لَا تُنفِقُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَنْ عِندَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ حَتَّىٰ يَنفَضُّوا۟

• and with God is a great reward. 64:15

  وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥٓ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

• And God multiplies examples for those who believe: the wife of Fir'awn, when she said: 'My Guardian, build for me, near You, a home in Paradise, and save me from Fir'awn and his doing, and save me from the wrongdoing people.' 66:11

  وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًۭا لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱمْرَأَتَ فِرْعَوْنَ إِذْ قَالَتْ رَبِّ ٱبْنِ لِى عِندَكَ بَيْتًۭا فِى ٱلْجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّنِى مِن فِرْعَوْنَ وَعَمَلِهِۦ وَنَجِّنِى مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

• Say: 'The knowledge is only with God; I am only a clear warner.' 67:26

  قُلْ إِنَّمَا ٱلْعِلْمُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

• For those who are mindful [of God], there are, with their Guardian, the gardens of bliss. 68:34

  إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

• Or do they possess what escapes the senses, so that they write it down? 68:47

  أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ

• And whatever good you put forth for yourselves, you will find it with God, better and greater in reward. 73:20

  وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا۟ لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍۢ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرًۭا وَأَعْظَمَ أَجْرًۭا

• Indeed, he has been, toward Our signs, obstinate. 74:16

  إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لِءَايَٰتِنَا عَنِيدًۭا

• So I do not need to swear by the retreating stars, those that run their courses and hide, and by the night when it darkens, and by the dawn when it breathes: indeed, it is the word of a noble messenger, endowed with power, secure with the Lord of the Edifice, obeyed there, trustworthy. 81:21

  فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلْخُنَّسِ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْكُنَّسِ وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ وَٱلصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍۢ مُّطَاعٍۢ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍۢ

• and who seeks not, in any favor he grants, except the face of his Guardian, the Most High. 92:20

  وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍۢ تُجْزَىٰٓ إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ

• Their reward, with their Guardian, is the gardens of Eden beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein forever. 98:8

  جَزَآؤُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًۭا
