• And whoever among you lacks the means to marry believing protected women, [let him marry] then one of your believing young women bound by oath. 4:25

  وَمَن لَّمْ يَسْتَطِعْ مِنكُمْ طَوْلًا أَن يَنكِحَ ٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ فَمِن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُم مِّن فَتَيَٰتِكُمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ

• And they consult you concerning women. 4:127

  وَيَسْتَفْتُونَكَ فِى ٱلنِّسَآءِ

• Say: "God instructs you concerning them, as well as what is recited to you in the Scripture concerning the orphan girls to whom you do not give what is prescribed for them, while desiring to marry them, and the children reduced to weakness, and [He orders you] to conduct yourselves with the orphans in complete equity. 4:127

  قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِيهِنَّ وَمَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ فِى يَتَٰمَى ٱلنِّسَآءِ ٱلَّٰتِى لَا تُؤْتُونَهُنَّ مَا كُتِبَ لَهُنَّ وَتَرْغَبُونَ أَن تَنكِحُوهُنَّ وَٱلْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ ٱلْوِلْدَٰنِ وَأَن تَقُومُوا۟ لِلْيَتَٰمَىٰ بِٱلْقِسْطِ

• They consult you. 4:176

  يَسْتَفْتُونَكَ

• Say: "God instructs you concerning the kalala [a person who dies without direct ascendant or descendant]. 4:176

  قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِى ٱلْكَلَٰلَةِ

• Women, in the Capital, said: "The Minister's wife is seeking to seduce her young servant: he has indeed captivated her with love; 12:30

  وَقَالَ نِسْوَةٌۭ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ ٱمْرَأَتُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ تُرَٰوِدُ فَتَىٰهَا عَن نَّفْسِهِۦ قَدْ شَغَفَهَا حُبًّا

• Two young men entered the prison with him. 12:36

  وَدَخَلَ مَعَهُ ٱلسِّجْنَ فَتَيَانِ

• The matter about which you both inquired is decided." 12:41

  قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ تَسْتَفْتِيَانِ

• O court, enlighten me about my vision, if you can interpret visions." 12:43

  يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَأُ أَفْتُونِى فِى رُءْيَٰىَ إِن كُنتُمْ لِلرُّءْيَا تَعْبُرُونَ

• "Youssof, man of truth, enlighten us about the seven fat cows devoured by seven lean ones, and the seven green ears of grain and others withered, so that I may return to the people and they may know." 12:46

  يُوسُفُ أَيُّهَا ٱلصِّدِّيقُ أَفْتِنَا فِى سَبْعِ بَقَرَٰتٍۢ سِمَانٍۢ يَأْكُلُهُنَّ سَبْعٌ عِجَافٌۭ وَسَبْعِ سُنۢبُلَٰتٍ خُضْرٍۢ وَأُخَرَ يَابِسَٰتٍۢ لَّعَلِّىٓ أَرْجِعُ إِلَى ٱلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ

• He said to his servants: "Put their merchandise back in their saddlebags, perhaps they will recognize it when they return to their people, perhaps they will come back." 12:62

  وَقَالَ لِفِتْيَٰنِهِ ٱجْعَلُوا۟ بِضَٰعَتَهُمْ فِى رِحَالِهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَعْرِفُونَهَآ إِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

• When the young people took refuge in the Cave and said: "Our Guardian, grant us, from Yourself, a benevolence, and prepare for us, in our affair, a path of rectitude." 18:10

  إِذْ أَوَى ٱلْفِتْيَةُ إِلَى ٱلْكَهْفِ فَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةًۭ وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًۭا

• they were young people who believed in their Guardian, and We increased them in guidance. 18:13

  إِنَّهُمْ فِتْيَةٌ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ وَزِدْنَٰهُمْ هُدًۭى

• So do not dispute about them except in an apparent dispute, and do not consult anyone among them about them. 18:22

  فَلَا تُمَارِ فِيهِمْ إِلَّا مِرَآءًۭ ظَٰهِرًۭا وَلَا تَسْتَفْتِ فِيهِم مِّنْهُمْ أَحَدًۭا

• And [recall] when Moussa said to his young companion: "I will not stop until I reach the meeting-place of the two seas, though I journey long." 18:60

  وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِفَتَىٰهُ لَآ أَبْرَحُ حَتَّىٰٓ أَبْلُغَ مَجْمَعَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ أَوْ أَمْضِىَ حُقُبًۭا

• When they had passed beyond [the place], he said to his young companion: "Bring us our meal; we have indeed met, on this journey, much fatigue." 18:62

  فَلَمَّا جَاوَزَا قَالَ لِفَتَىٰهُ ءَاتِنَا غَدَآءَنَا لَقَدْ لَقِينَا مِن سَفَرِنَا هَٰذَا نَصَبًۭا

• They said: 'We heard a young man mention them; he is called Ibrahim.' 21:60

  قَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا فَتًۭى يَذْكُرُهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُۥٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ

• And do not compel your young women to prostitution, if they wish to remain chaste, seeking merely the goods of the present life. 24:33

  وَلَا تُكْرِهُوا۟ فَتَيَٰتِكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْبِغَآءِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًۭا لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟ عَرَضَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا

• She said [the Queen of Saba]: 'O court, advise me on my affair; I do not decide any affair without you bearing witness to it.' 27:32

  قَالَتْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ أَفْتُونِى فِىٓ أَمْرِى مَا كُنتُ قَاطِعَةً أَمْرًا حَتَّىٰ تَشْهَدُونِ

• Ask them then: are they harder to create, or those We have created? 37:11

  فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ

• Ask them then: does your Guardian have daughters, while they have sons? 37:149

  فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ
