• God tightens and extends [sustenance], 2:245

  وَٱللَّهُ يَقْبِضُ وَيَبْصُۜطُ

• And if you are on a journey, and you find no scribe, a pledge taken [suffices]. 2:283

  وَإِن كُنتُمْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍۢ وَلَمْ تَجِدُوا۟ كَاتِبًۭا فَرِهَٰنٌۭ مَّقْبُوضَةٌۭ

• The hypocrites, men and women, are of one another: they enjoin what is disavowed and forbid what is recognized, and they close their hands; they forgot God, so He forgot them. 9:67

  ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتُ بَعْضُهُم مِّنۢ بَعْضٍۢ يَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمُنكَرِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَقْبِضُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ نَسُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَنَسِيَهُمْ

• He said: «I perceived what they did not perceive; so I seized a handful from the track of the envoy, then I cast it away — thus did my Self prompt me.» 20:96

  قَالَ بَصُرْتُ بِمَا لَمْ يَبْصُرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَقَبَضْتُ قَبْضَةًۭ مِّنْ أَثَرِ ٱلرَّسُولِ فَنَبَذْتُهَا وَكَذَٰلِكَ سَوَّلَتْ لِى نَفْسِى

• Then We made the sun its indicator; then We drew it back to Us, an easy withdrawal. 25:46

  ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا ٱلشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًۭا ثُمَّ قَبَضْنَٰهُ إِلَيْنَا قَبْضًۭا يَسِيرًۭا

• They did not measure God with His true measure; the whole earth will be in His grasp on the Day of Appearance, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand. 39:67

  وَمَا قَدَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِۦ وَٱلْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًۭا قَبْضَتُهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وَٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ مَطْوِيَّٰتٌۢ بِيَمِينِهِۦ

• Have they not observed the birds above them, spreading and folding their wings? 67:19

  أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صَٰٓفَّٰتٍۢ وَيَقْبِضْنَ
