and entrusted her care to Zakariya. 3:37
وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّا -
You were not with them when they cast their reeds [to draw lots] as to which of them would take charge of Maryam, 3:44
وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يُلْقُونَ أَقْلَٰمَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ يَكْفُلُ مَرْيَمَ -
and whoever intercedes with an evil intercession will bear a share of responsibility for it. 4:85
وَمَن يَشْفَعْ شَفَٰعَةًۭ سَيِّئَةًۭ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كِفْلٌۭ مِّنْهَا -
and do not break oaths after affirming them, having taken God as a guarantor over you: 16:91
وَلَا تَنقُضُوا۟ ٱلْأَيْمَٰنَ بَعْدَ تَوْكِيدِهَا وَقَدْ جَعَلْتُمُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَيْكُمْ كَفِيلًا -
I cast upon you a love from Me, so that you might be formed under My watch — when your sister walked along and said: «Shall I point you to one who can take charge of him?» 20:40
وَأَلْقَيْتُ عَلَيْكَ مَحَبَّةًۭ مِّنِّى وَلِتُصْنَعَ عَلَىٰ عَيْنِىٓ إِذْ تَمْشِىٓ أُخْتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن يَكْفُلُهُۥ -
And Ismail, and Idris, and Dhul-Kifl: 21:85
وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَإِدْرِيسَ وَذَا ٱلْكِفْلِ -
We had beforehand forbidden him to be taken in charge by anyone else; she then said: "Shall I show you a family who will take charge of him for you, with true care for him?" 28:12
وَحَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِ ٱلْمَرَاضِعَ مِن قَبْلُ فَقَالَتْ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰٓ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍۢ يَكْفُلُونَهُۥ لَكُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُۥ نَٰصِحُونَ -
"This is my brother; he has ninety-nine ewes, and I have but one ewe. He said: 'Entrust her to me,' and he overpowered me in speech." 38:23
إِنَّ هَٰذَآ أَخِى لَهُۥ تِسْعٌۭ وَتِسْعُونَ نَعْجَةًۭ وَلِىَ نَعْجَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ فَقَالَ أَكْفِلْنِيهَا وَعَزَّنِى فِى ٱلْخِطَابِ -
And remember Ismail, Elisha, and Dhul-Kifl, 38:48
وَٱذْكُرْ إِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَٱلْيَسَعَ وَذَا ٱلْكِفْلِ -
O you who believe, be mindful of God and believe in His messenger; He will give you a double portion of His benevolence and make for you a light by which you will walk, and He will forgive you. 57:28
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِرَسُولِهِۦ يُؤْتِكُمْ كِفْلَيْنِ مِن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ نُورًۭا تَمْشُونَ بِهِۦ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ
