Who Was Deceived?
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Whatever is in the heavens and on the earth glorifies God.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم يسبح لله ما في السموت وما في الارضTo Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs the praise,
له الملك وله الحمدand He is capable of all things.
وهو على كل شىء قديرIt is He who created you, and among you is one who disowns, and among you is a believer.
هو الذي خلقكم فمنكم كافر ومنكم مومنAnd God sees perfectly what you do.
والله بما تعملون بصيرHe created the heavens and the earth in truth, and formed you, and made your forms excellent,
خلق السموت والارض بالحق وصوركم فاحسن صوركمand to Him is the destination.
واليه المصيرHe knows what is in the heavens and the earth, and He knows what you conceal and what you reveal.
يعلم ما في السموت والارض ويعلم ما تسرون وما تعلنونAnd God is All-Knowing of what the chests contain.
والله عليم بذات الصدورHas the information not come to you concerning those who disowned before, and tasted the evil consequence of their affair, and for them is a painful punishment?
الم ياتكم نبوا الذين كفروا من قبل فذاقوا وبال امرهم ولهم عذاب اليمThat is because their messengers used to come to them with clear proofs, but they said: Shall humans guide us?
ذلك بانه كانت تاتيهم رسلهم بالبينت فقالوا ابشر يهدونناSo they disowned and turned away, but God is Self-Sufficient,
فكفروا وتولوا واستغنى اللهand God is Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy.
والله غني حميدThose who disown claim that they will never be resurrected.
زعم الذين كفروا ان لن يبعثواSay: Yes, by my Guardian, you will surely be resurrected; then you will surely be informed of what you did.
قل بلى وربي لتبعثن ثم لتنبون بما عملتمAnd that is easy for God.
وذلك على الله يسيرSo believe in God and His messenger, and the light which We have sent down.
فامنوا بالله ورسوله والنور الذي انزلناAnd God is Informed of what you do.
والله بما تعملون خبيرThe Day He will gather you for the Day of Gathering — that is the Day of Mutual Deception.
يوم يجمعكم ليوم الجمع ذلك يوم التغابنAnd whoever believes in God and does a righteous deed, He will cover for him his misdeeds and admit him into gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein eternally, forever.
ومن يومن بالله ويعمل صلحا يكفر عنه سياته ويدخله جنت تجري من تحتها الانهر خلدين فيها ابداThat is the immense triumph.
ذلك الفوز العظيمBut those who have disowned and denied Our signs — those are the companions of the Fire, abiding therein eternally,
والذين كفروا وكذبوا بايتنا اوليك اصحب النار خلدين فيهاand what an evil destination!
وبيس المصيرNo calamity strikes except by the permission of God.
ما اصاب من مصيبة الا باذن اللهAnd whoever believes in God — He guides his core,
ومن يومن بالله يهد قلبهand God is All-Knowing of all things.
والله بكل شىء عليمAnd obey God, and obey the messenger.
واطيعوا الله واطيعوا الرسولBut if you turn away, then upon Our messenger is only the clear transmission.
فان توليتم فانما على رسولنا البلغ المبينGod — there is no deity except Him.
الله لا اله الا هوAnd upon God let the believers rely.
وعلى الله فليتوكل المومنونO you who have believed! Indeed, among your spouses and your children is an enemy to you, so beware of them.
يايها الذين ءامنوا ان من ازوجكم واولدكم عدوا لكم فاحذروهمBut if you efface, overlook, and forgive — then indeed God is Most-Forgiving, Benevolent.
وان تعفوا وتصفحوا وتغفروا فان الله غفور رحيمYour goods and your children are but a trial,
انما امولكم واولدكم فتنةand with God is an immense reward.
والله عنده اجر عظيمSo guard yourselves toward God as much as you are able, and listen, and obey, and spend — it will be good for your own Selves.
فاتقوا الله ما استطعتم واسمعوا واطيعوا وانفقوا خيرا لانفسكمAnd whoever is protected from the avarice of his Self — those are the ones who succeed.
ومن يوق شح نفسه فاوليك هم المفلحونIf you lend God a good loan, He will multiply it for you and forgive you,
ان تقرضوا الله قرضا حسنا يضعفه لكم ويغفر لكمand God is Appreciative, full of patience.
والله شكور حليمHe is the Knower of what escapes the senses and of what is manifest,
علم الغيب والشهدةthe All-Powerful, the Wise.
