God Has Heard
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. God has certainly heard the words of the one who argues with you about her husband and complains to God; and God hears your exchange.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم قد سمع الله قول التي تجدلك في زوجها وتشتكي الى الله والله يسمع تحاوركماGod is indeed the All-Hearing, the One who sees perfectly.
ان الله سميع بصيرThose among you who pronounce the exclusion formula against their wives — they are not their mothers.
الذين يظهرون منكم من نسايهم ما هن امهتهمTheir mothers are none but those who bore them.
ان امهتهم الا الي ولدنهمThey are surely uttering a disavowed and false word.
وانهم ليقولون منكرا من القول وزوراBut God is surely the One who effaces, Most-Forgiving.
وان الله لعفو غفورAnd those who pronounce the exclusion formula against their wives, then return to what they said, shall free a person from the weight of a heavy debt before they touch each other again.
والذين يظهرون من نسايهم ثم يعودون لما قالوا فتحرير رقبة من قبل ان يتماساThis is what you are exhorted by.
ذلكم توعظون بهAnd God is Informed of what you do.
والله بما تعملون خبيرWhoever finds no means shall abstain two consecutive months before they touch each other again.
فمن لم يجد فصيام شهرين متتابعين من قبل ان يتماساAnd whoever cannot shall feed sixty destitute people.
فمن لم يستطع فاطعام ستين مسكيناThis, so that you may believe in God and His messenger.
ذلك لتومنوا بالله ورسولهThose are the limits of God.
وتلك حدود اللهAnd for those who disown, a painful punishment.
وللكفرين عذاب اليمThose who set themselves against God and His messenger will be brought low, as were those before them.
ان الذين يحادون الله ورسوله كبتوا كما كبت الذين من قبلهمYet We have sent down clear signs.
وقد انزلنا ءايت بينتAnd for those who disown, a humiliating punishment.
وللكفرين عذاب مهينThe day God resurrects them all and informs them of what they did.
يوم يبعثهم الله جميعا فينبيهم بما عملواGod has kept count of it, while they have forgotten it.
احصىه الله ونسوهAnd God is witness over all things.
والله على كل شىء شهيدHave you not seen that God knows what is in the heavens and what is on the earth?
الم تر ان الله يعلم ما في السموت وما في الارضThere is no secret talk among three but He is their fourth, nor among five but He is their sixth, nor fewer nor more than that but He is with them wherever they are.
ما يكون من نجوى ثلثة الا هو رابعهم ولا خمسة الا هو سادسهم ولا ادنى من ذلك ولا اكثر الا هو معهم اين ما كانواThen He will inform them of what they did, on the Day of Appearance.
ثم ينبيهم بما عملوا يوم القيمةGod is indeed All-Knowing of all things.
ان الله بكل شىء عليمHave you not seen those who were forbidden secret talk, then go back to what they were forbidden, and hold secret talk in transgression, hostility, and disobedience to the messenger?
الم تر الى الذين نهوا عن النجوى ثم يعودون لما نهوا عنه ويتنجون بالاثم والعدون ومعصيت الرسولAnd when they come to you, they greet you with a greeting God never greeted you with, and say among themselves: Why does God not punish us for what we say?
واذا جاءوك حيوك بما لم يحيك به الله ويقولون في انفسهم لولا يعذبنا الله بما نقولJahannam suffices them.
حسبهم جهنمThey will burn in it.
يصلونهاWhat an evil destination!
فبيس المصيرO you who have believed! when you hold secret talk, do not hold it in transgression, hostility, and disobedience to the messenger.
يايها الذين ءامنوا اذا تنجيتم فلا تتنجوا بالاثم والعدون ومعصيت الرسولBut hold secret talk in virtue and guardedness.
وتنجوا بالبر والتقوىAnd guard yourselves toward God, to whom you will be gathered.
واتقوا الله الذي اليه تحشرونSecret talk comes only from the Diverter, to grieve those who believe; but it cannot harm them in the least, except by God's leave.
انما النجوى من الشيطن ليحزن الذين ءامنوا وليس بضارهم شيا الا باذن اللهAnd upon God let the believers rely.
وعلى الله فليتوكل المومنونO you who have believed! when you are told to make room in gatherings, make room; God will make room for you.
يايها الذين ءامنوا اذا قيل لكم تفسحوا في المجلس فافسحوا يفسح الله لكمAnd when you are told to rise up, rise up; God will raise in rank those among you who believe and those given knowledge.
واذا قيل انشزوا فانشزوا يرفع الله الذين ءامنوا منكم والذين اوتوا العلم درجتAnd God is Informed of what you do.
والله بما تعملون خبيرO you who have believed! when you consult the messenger privately, let your secret talk be preceded by alms.
يايها الذين ءامنوا اذا نجيتم الرسول فقدموا بين يدى نجوىكم صدقةThat is better for you, and purer.
ذلك خير لكم واطهرBut if you find no means, then God is Most-Forgiving, Benevolent.
فان لم تجدوا فان الله غفور رحيمWere you apprehensive about having your secret talks preceded by alms?
ءاشفقتم ان تقدموا بين يدى نجوىكم صدقتSince you did not do it, and God has turned toward you with clemency, maintain the Contact and give the purifying alms.
فاذ لم تفعلوا وتاب الله عليكم فاقيموا الصلوة وءاتوا الزكوةAnd obey God and His messenger.
واطيعوا الله ورسولهAnd God is Informed of what you do.
والله خبير بما تعملونHave you not seen those who ally themselves with a people with whom God is angry? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to falsehood knowingly.
الم تر الى الذين تولوا قوما غضب الله عليهم ما هم منكم ولا منهم ويحلفون على الكذب وهم يعلمونGod has prepared for them a severe punishment.
اعد الله لهم عذابا شديداHow evil indeed is what they used to do!
انهم ساء ما كانوا يعملونThey have taken their oaths as a shield and turned [people] away from the way of God; theirs is a humiliating punishment.
اتخذوا ايمنهم جنة فصدوا عن سبيل الله فلهم عذاب مهينNeither their goods nor their children will avail them at all against God.
لن تغني عنهم امولهم ولا اولدهم من الله شياThose are the companions of the Fire, they abide therein eternally.
اوليك اصحب النار هم فيها خلدونThe day God resurrects them all, they will swear to Him as they swear to you, thinking they stand on something.
يوم يبعثهم الله جميعا فيحلفون له كما يحلفون لكم ويحسبون انهم على شىءIndeed, they are the liars.
الا انهم هم الكذبونThe Diverter has taken hold of them and made them forget the remembrance of God.
استحوذ عليهم الشيطن فانسىهم ذكر اللهThose are the party of the Diverter.
اوليك حزب الشيطنIndeed, the party of the Diverter — they are the losers.
الا ان حزب الشيطن هم الخسرونThose who set themselves against God and His messenger are among the most abased.
ان الذين يحادون الله ورسوله اوليك في الاذلينGod has decreed: I shall surely prevail, I and My messengers.
كتب الله لاغلبن انا ورسليGod is indeed the Strong, the All-Powerful.
ان الله قوي عزيزYou will not find a people who believe in God and the Last Day loving those who set themselves against God and His messenger, even if they be their fathers, their sons, their brothers, or their clan.
لا تجد قوما يومنون بالله واليوم الءاخر يوادون من حاد الله ورسوله ولو كانوا ءاباءهم او ابناءهم او اخونهم او عشيرتهمThese are the ones in whose cores He has inscribed faith, and whom He has strengthened with an Influx from Him, and whom He will admit into gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding there eternally.
اوليك كتب في قلوبهم الايمن وايدهم بروح منه ويدخلهم جنت تجري من تحتها الانهر خلدين فيهاGod is satisfied with them, and they are satisfied with Him.
رضي الله عنهم ورضوا عنهThose are the party of God.
اوليك حزب اللهIndeed, the party of God — they are the successful.
الا ان حزب الله هم المفلحون
