Sourate Al-Layl (92) unvowelled

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. By the night when it envelops! By the day when it shines forth! By what created the male and the female! Your efforts are indeed diverse.i 4

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم واليل اذا يغشى والنهار اذا تجلى وما خلق الذكر والانثى ان سعيكم لشتى

As for the one who gives, and guards himself before his Lord, and affirms the best — We will ease him toward ease.i 7

فاما من اعطى واتقى وصدق بالحسنى فسنيسره لليسرى

But as for the one who withholds, and considers himself self-sufficient, and denies the best - We will ease him toward hardship. 10

واما من بخل واستغنى وكذب بالحسنى فسنيسره للعسرى

And his wealth will not avail him when he falls. 11

وما يغني عنه ماله اذا تردى

Indeed, upon Us is the guidance, and indeed to Us belong the last and the first. 13

ان علينا للهدى وان لنا للءاخرة والاولى

So I have warned you of a blazing fire, in which none will burn except the most wretched, who denied and turned away. 16

فانذرتكم نارا تلظى لا يصلىها الا الاشقى الذي كذب وتولى

And it will be kept away from the most righteous, who gives his wealth to purify himself, 18

وسيجنبها الاتقى الذي يوتي ماله يتزكى

and who seeks not, in any favor he grants, except the face of his Guardian, the Most High. 20

وما لاحد عنده من نعمة تجزى الا ابتغاء وجه ربه الاعلى

And he will surely soon be satisfied.i 21

ولسوف يرضى
