Al-Alaq

• 96:1

  In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Read, in the name of your Guardian who created,

  بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم اقرا باسم ربك الذي خلق
• 96:2

  who created the human being from a clinging thing.

  خلق الانسن من علق
• 96:5

  Read! And your Guardian is the Most Noble, who taught by the pen, taught the human being what he did not know.

  اقرا وربك الاكرم الذي علم بالقلم علم الانسن ما لم يعلم
• 96:7

  By no means! The human being surely exceeds all measure, as soon as he sees himself self-sufficient.

  كلا ان الانسن ليطغى ان رءاه استغنى
• 96:8

  Indeed, to your Guardian is the return.

  ان الى ربك الرجعى
• 96:10

  Have you seen the one who forbids an obedient one when he makes contact?

  ارءيت الذي ينهى عبدا اذا صلى
• 96:12

  Have you seen if he is upon guidance, or enjoins guardedness?

  ارءيت ان كان على الهدى او امر بالتقوى
• 96:14

  Have you seen if he denies and turns away? Does he not know that God sees?

  ارءيت ان كذب وتولى الم يعلم بان الله يرى
• 96:16

  By no means! If he does not desist, We will seize him violently by the forelock, a lying forelock, at fault!

  كلا لين لم ينته لنسفعا بالناصية ناصية كذبة خاطية
• 96:18

  Then let him call his assembly; We will call the Zabaniya.

  فليدع ناديه سندع الزبانية
• 96:19

  By no means! Do not obey him, but prostrate and draw near.

  كلا لا تطعه واسجد واقترب
