Which of the Blessings?
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. The All-Benevolent taught the Recitation.
بسم ٱلله ٱلرحمن ٱلرحيم ٱلرحمن علم ٱلقرءانHe created the human being, He taught him clear expression.
خلق ٱلإنسن علمه ٱلبيانThe sun and the moon follow a precise reckoning.
ٱلشمس وٱلقمر بحسبانThe stemless plant and the tree bow down.
وٱلنجم وٱلشجر يسجدانAnd the sky, He raised it, and He set up the balance — so that you would not exceed the measure in the balance: maintain the weight with equity and do not cause loss to the balance.
وٱلسمآء رفعها ووضع ٱلميزان ألا تطغوا في ٱلميزان وأقيموا ٱلوزن بٱلقسط ولا تخسروا ٱلميزانAnd the earth, He established it for the creatures; therein are fruits, the palm with its enclosed spathes, the grain with its husk, and the fragrant plant.
وٱلأرض وضعها للأنام فيها فكهة وٱلنخل ذات ٱلأكمام وٱلحب ذو ٱلعصف وٱلريحانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانHe created the human being from resonant clay like pottery, and He created the Occulted from a pure flame of fire.
خلق ٱلإنسن من صلصل كٱلفخار وخلق ٱلجآن من مارج من نارWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانGuardian of the two easts and Guardian of the two wests.
رب ٱلمشرقين ورب ٱلمغربينWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانHe made the two seas flow together, meeting; between them a barrier they do not cross.
مرج ٱلبحرين يلتقيان بينهما برزخ لا يبغيانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانFrom them both are brought forth the pearl and the coral.
يخرج منهما ٱللؤلؤ وٱلمرجانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانAnd to Him belong the vessels raised up at sea, like mountains.
وله ٱلجوار ٱلمنشات في ٱلبحر كٱلأعلمWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانEverything upon it is perishing, and only the Face of your Guardian remains, holder of majesty and nobility.
كل من عليها فان ويبقى وجه ربك ذو ٱلجلل وٱلإكرامWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانThose in the heavens and on the earth ask of Him; every day He is engaged in some matter.
يسله من في ٱلسموت وٱلأرض كل يوم هو في شأنWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانWe shall attend to you, O you two burdened ones.
سنفرغ لكم أيه ٱلثقلانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانO assembly of the Occulted and humans, if you are able to pass beyond the confines of the heavens and the earth, then pass beyond them.
يمعشر ٱلجن وٱلإنس إن ٱستطعتم أن تنفذوا من أقطار ٱلسموت وٱلأرض فٱنفذواYou will not pass beyond them except with a [sovereign] authority.
لا تنفذون إلا بسلطنWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانUpon you both will be sent a blaze of flame and a jet of molten copper, and you will not be able to help each other.
يرسل عليكما شواظ من نار ونحاس فلا تنتصرانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانAnd when the sky splits open and becomes rose-colored like tinted leather — which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? — on that day, neither human nor Occulted will be asked about his offense.
فإذا ٱنشقت ٱلسمآء فكانت وردة كٱلدهان فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبان فيومئذ لا يسل عن ذنبه إنس ولا جآنWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانThe severed will be recognized by their features, and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet.
يعرف ٱلمجرمون بسيمهم فيؤخذ بٱلنوصي وٱلأقدامWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانThis is Jahannam, which the severed used to deny; they will circulate between it and boiling water at its peak.
هذه جهنم ٱلتي يكذب بها ٱلمجرمون يطوفون بينها وبين حميم ءانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانAnd for whoever feared standing before his Guardian, two gardens — which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? — with abundant branches.
ولمن خاف مقام ربه جنتان فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبان ذواتآ أفنانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانIn them both, two springs flowing.
فيهما عينان تجريانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانIn them both, of every fruit, a pair.
فيهما من كل فكهة زوجانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانReclining upon couches lined with thick brocade, the harvest of the two gardens within reach.
متكين على فرش بطآئنها من إستبرق وجنى ٱلجنتين دانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانTherein are beings of reserved gaze, untouched by any human or Occulted before them.
فيهن قصرت ٱلطرف لم يطمثهن إنس قبلهم ولا جآنWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانAs though they were rubies and coral.
كأنهن ٱلياقوت وٱلمرجانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانIs the recompense of good conduct anything but good conduct?
هل جزآء ٱلإحسن إلا ٱلإحسنWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانAnd besides these two, two other gardens — which then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny? — deep green.
ومن دونهما جنتان فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبان مدهآمتانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانIn them both, two gushing springs.
فيهما عينان نضاختانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانIn them both, fruits, palm trees, and pomegranates.
فيهما فكهة ونخل ورمانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانTherein are beings excellent and beautiful.
فيهن خيرت حسانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانCompanions of listening and support, kept within the tents.
حور مقصورت في ٱلخيامWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانUntouched by any human or Occulted before them.
لم يطمثهن إنس قبلهم ولا جآنWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانReclining upon green cushions and exceptional carpets, beautiful.
متكين على رفرف خضر وعبقري حسانWhich then of your Guardian's blessings do you both deny?
فبأى ءالآء ربكما تكذبانBlessed be the name of your Guardian, holder of majesty and nobility.
تبرك ٱسم ربك ذي ٱلجلل وٱلإكرام
