Evidence from the text

The name occurs only in 53:20. It closes the list Al-Lat, Al-Uzza, Manat, and it alone bears a rank: "the third, the other". The question follows at once: "Would the male be for you, and for Him the female?" The text names these deities to show what is ascribed to them. The name is kept as it is.
