Im Namen Gottes, des Allwohlwollenden, des Wohlwollenden.
Mögen die beiden Hände des Vaters der Flamme verloren gehen, und er selbst ist verloren gegangen.
تبت يدا ابي لهب وتب
Sein Gut und das, was er erworben hat, haben ihm zu nichts gedient.
ما اغني عنه ماله وما كسب
Er wird in einem Feuer von Flamme brennen, und seine Frau auch,
سيصلي نارا ذات لهب وامراته
die unablässig das Holz trägt, ein Seil aus geflochtener Faser um ihren Hals.
