سورة 57
۞
Al-Hadid
-
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifies God.i 1
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم سبح لله ما في السموت والارض -
And He is the All-Powerful, the Wise.i 1
وهو العزيز الحكيم -
To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and gives death. 2
له ملك السموت والارض يحي ويميت -
And He is capable of all things. 2
وهو علي كل شي قدير -
He is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden. 3
هو الاول والاخر والظهر والباطن -
And He is fully aware of all things. 3
وهو بكل شي عليم -
It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself upon the Edifice.i 4
هو الذي خلق السموت والارض في سته ايام ثم استوي علي العرش -
He knows what penetrates into the earth and what comes out of it, what descends from the sky and what ascends into it. 4
يعلم ما يلج في الارض وما يخرج منها وما ينزل من السما وما يعرج فيها -
And He is with you wherever you are. 4
وهو معكم اين ما كنتم -
And God sees fully what you do. 4
والله بما تعملون بصير -
To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. 5
له ملك السموت والارض -
And to God all matters return. 5
والي الله ترجع الامور -
He causes the night to enter into the day and causes the day to enter into the night. 6
يولج اليل في النهار ويولج النهار في اليل -
And He is fully aware of what is in the breasts. 6
وهو عليم بذات الصدور -
Believe in God and His messenger, and spend from that which He has made you trustees of. 7
امنوا بالله ورسوله وانفقوا مما جعلكم مستخلفين فيه -
Those among you who believe and spend will have a great reward. 7
فالذين امنوا منكم وانفقوا لهم اجر كبير -
What is [the matter] with you that you do not believe in God, while the messenger invites you to believe in your Guardian, and He has already taken your covenant, if you are believers? 8
وما لكم لا تومنون بالله والرسول يدعوكم لتومنوا بربكم وقد اخذ ميثقكم ان كنتم مومنين -
It is He who sends down upon His obedient one clear signs, to bring you out of the darknesses into the light. 9
هو الذي ينزل علي عبده ايت بينت ليخرجكم من الظلمت الي النور -
And indeed, God is to you full of kindness and benevolence. 9
وان الله بكم لروف رحيم -
And what is [the matter] with you that you do not spend in the way of God, while to God belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? 10
وما لكم الا تنفقوا في سبيل الله ولله ميرث السموت والارض -
Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquest [and those who did so later]. 10
لا يستوي منكم من انفق من قبل الفتح وقتل -
...and [those who did so] afterward. Those are greater in degree than those who spent and fought afterward. 10
اوليك اعظم درجه من الذين انفقوا من بعد وقتلوا -
But to all, God has promised the best [reward]. 10
وكلا وعد الله الحسني -
And God is fully informed of what you do. 10
والله بما تعملون خبير -
Who is it that will lend God a goodly loan, so He will multiply it for him, and he will have a generous reward? 11
من ذا الذي يقرض الله قرضا حسنا فيضعفه له وله اجر كريم -
The Day you will see the believing men and believing women, their light running before them and on their right. 12
يوم تري المومنين والمومنت يسعي نورهم بين ايديهم وبايمنهم -
Your good tidings today: gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally. 12
بشريكم اليوم جنت تجري من تحتها الانهر خلدين فيها -
That is the great triumph. 12
ذلك هو الفوز العظيم -
The Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those who believed: "Wait for us that we may borrow from your light." It will be said: "Go back behind you and seek a light." 13
يوم يقول المنفقون والمنفقت للذين امنوا انظرونا نقتبس من نوركم قيل ارجعوا وراكم فالتمسوا نورا -
Then a wall will be erected between them, having a gate, its interior containing benevolence, and its exterior, before it, containing punishment.i 13
فضرب بينهم بسور له باب باطنه فيه الرحمه وظهره من قبله العذاب -
They will call to them: "Were we not with you?" 14
ينادونهم الم نكن معكم -
They will say: "Yes, but you tempted yourselves, and awaited, and doubted, and false hopes deceived you until the command of God came, and the deceiver deceived you concerning God." 14
قالوا بلي ولكنكم فتنتم انفسكم وتربصتم وارتبتم وغرتكم الاماني حتي جا امر الله وغركم بالله الغرور -
So today no ransom will be taken from you, nor from those who denied. Your refuge is the Fire; it is your master. 15
فاليوم لا يوخذ منكم فديه ولا من الذين كفروا ماويكم النار هي موليكم -
And what a wretched destination. 15
وبيس المصير -
Has the time not come for those who believe that their cores should be humbled at the remembrance of God and what has descended of truth? 16
الم يان للذين امنوا ان تخشع قلوبهم لذكر الله وما نزل من الحق -
And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and time grew long for them, so their cores hardened.i 16
ولا يكونوا كالذين اوتوا الكتب من قبل فطال عليهم الامد فقست قلوبهم -
And many of them are the oversteppers. 16
وكثير منهم فسقون -
Know that God gives life to the earth after its death. 17
اعلموا ان الله يحي الارض بعد موتها -
We have certainly made clear to you the signs, that you might reason. 17
قد بينا لكم الايت لعلكم تعقلون -
Indeed, the men and women who give sincerely, and who lend God a goodly loan — it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a generous reward. 18
ان المصدقين والمصدقت واقرضوا الله قرضا حسنا يضعف لهم ولهم اجر كريم -
And those who believe in God and His messengers — those are the truthful ones. 19
والذين امنوا بالله ورسله اوليك هم الصديقون -
And the witnesses, with their Guardian. 19
والشهدا عند ربهم -
They will have their reward and their light. 19
لهم اجرهم ونورهم -
And those who denied and denied Our signs — those are the companions of the Blaze.i 19
والذين كفروا وكذبوا بايتنا اوليك اصحب الجحيم -
Know that the present life is but play, diversion, adornment, mutual boasting among you, and competition in wealth and children — like the example of a rain whose vegetation delights the sowers, then it dries up, and you see it turn yellow, then it becomes debris.i 20
اعلموا انما الحيوه الدنيا لعب ولهو وزينه وتفاخر بينكم وتكاثر في الامول والاولد كمثل غيث اعجب الكفار نباته ثم يهيج فتريه مصفرا ثم يكون حطما -
And in the Hereafter: severe punishment, or forgiveness from God and approval. 20
وفي الاخره عذاب شديد ومغفره من الله ورضون -
And the present life is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion. 20
وما الحيوه الدنيا الا متع الغرور -
Race toward forgiveness from your Guardian and a garden whose width is like the width of the heaven and the earth, prepared for those who believe in God and His messengers. 21
سابقوا الي مغفره من ربكم وجنه عرضها كعرض السما والارض اعدت للذين امنوا بالله ورسله -
That is the favor of God, which He gives to whom He wills. 21
ذلك فضل الله يوتيه من يشا -
And God is the possessor of great favor. 21
والله ذو الفضل العظيم -
No calamity strikes the earth or yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being.i 22
ما اصاب من مصيبه في الارض ولا في انفسكم الا في كتب من قبل ان نبراها -
Indeed, that is easy for God — so that you do not grieve for what has escaped you, nor exult [excessively] over what He has given you. 23
ان ذلك علي الله يسير لكيلا تاسوا علي ما فاتكم ولا تفرحوا بما اتيكم -
And God does not love every self-important boaster. 23
والله لا يحب كل مختال فخور -
Those who are stingy and enjoin stinginess upon people. 24
الذين يبخلون ويامرون الناس بالبخل -
And whoever turns away — then indeed, God is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy. 24
ومن يتول فان الله هو الغني الحميد 🖼 -
We have certainly sent Our messengers with clear proofs and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that people may maintain justice.i 25
لقد ارسلنا رسلنا بالبينت وانزلنا معهم الكتب والميزان ليقوم الناس بالقسط -
And We sent down iron, in which is great strength and benefits for the people. 25
وانزلنا الحديد فيه باس شديد ومنفع للناس -
And so that God may distinguish who supports Him and His messengers, without having seen Them.i 25
وليعلم الله من ينصره ورسله بالغيب -
Indeed, God is Strong and All-Powerful.i 25
ان الله قوي عزيز -
And We certainly sent Nuh and Ibrahim and placed in their descendants prophecy and the Scripture.i 26
ولقد ارسلنا نوحا وابرهيم وجعلنا في ذريتهما النبوه والكتب -
Some of them were guided... 26
فمنهم مهتد -
...and many of them are the oversteppers. 26
وكثير منهم فسقون -
Then We caused Our messengers to follow in their footsteps, and We caused Issa son of Maryam to follow, and We gave him the Injil.i 27
ثم قفينا علي اثرهم برسلنا وقفينا بعيسي ابن مريم واتينه الانجيل -
And We placed in the cores of those who followed him compassion and benevolence, and monasticism, which they invented — We did not prescribe it for them — except in seeking the pleasure of God. 27
وجعلنا في قلوب الذين اتبعوه رافه ورحمه ورهبانيه ابتدعوها ما كتبنها عليهم الا ابتغا رضون الله -
But they did not observe it as it should have been observed. 27
فما رعوها حق رعايتها -
So We gave those among them who believed their reward. 27
فاتينا الذين امنوا منهم اجرهم -
And many of them are the oversteppers. 27
وكثير منهم فسقون -
O you who believe, be mindful of God and believe in His messenger; He will give you a double portion of His benevolence and make for you a light by which you will walk, and He will forgive you. 28
يايها الذين امنوا اتقوا الله وامنوا برسوله يوتكم كفلين من رحمته ويجعل لكم نورا تمشون به ويغفر لكم -
And God is Forgiving, benevolent — so that the People of the Scripture may know that they have no power over anything of the favor of God, and that [all] favor is in the hand of God, which He gives to whom He wills.i 29
والله غفور رحيم ليلا يعلم اهل الكتب الا يقدرون علي شي من فضل الله وان الفضل بيد الله يوتيه من يشا -
And God is the possessor of great favor. 29
والله ذو الفضل العظيم
