بسم ٱلله ٱلرحمن ٱلرحيم
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent.
All that is in the heavens and the earth has glorified God.
سبح لله ما في ٱلسموت وٱلأرض
And He is the All-Powerful, the Wise.
وهو ٱلعزيز ٱلحكيم
To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and causes death.
له ملك ٱلسموت وٱلأرض يحي ويميت
And He is capable of all things.
وهو على كل شىء قدير
He is the First and the Last, the Apparent and the Hidden.
هو ٱلأول وٱلءاخر وٱلظهر وٱلباطن
And He is All-Knowing of all things.
وهو بكل شىء عليم
It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself upon the Edifice.
هو ٱلذي خلق ٱلسموت وٱلأرض في ستة أيام ثم ٱستوى على ٱلعرش
He knows what penetrates into the earth and what comes out of it, what descends from the sky and what ascends into it.
يعلم ما يلج في ٱلأرض وما يخرج منها وما ينزل من ٱلسمآء وما يعرج فيها
And He is with you wherever you are.
وهو معكم أين ما كنتم
And God is All-Seeing of what you do.
وٱلله بما تعملون بصير
To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth.
له ملك ٱلسموت وٱلأرض
And it is to God that all matters return.
وإلى ٱلله ترجع ٱلأمور
He makes the night penetrate into the day, and makes the day penetrate into the night.
يولج ٱليل في ٱلنهار ويولج ٱلنهار في ٱليل
And He is All-Knowing of what the chests contain.
وهو عليم بذات ٱلصدور
Believe in God and His messenger, and spend from that which He has made you trustees of.
ءامنوا بٱلله ورسوله وأنفقوا مما جعلكم مستخلفين فيه
Those among you who have believed and spent will have a great reward.
فٱلذين ءامنوا منكم وأنفقوا لهم أجر كبير
What is with you that you do not believe in God, while the messenger invites you to believe in your Guardian, and He has already taken your solemn engagement, if you are believers?
وما لكم لا تؤمنون بٱلله وٱلرسول يدعوكم لتؤمنوا بربكم وقد أخذ ميثقكم إن كنتم مؤمنين
It is He who sends down upon His obedient one clear signs, to bring you out of the darknesses into the light.
هو ٱلذي ينزل على عبده ءايت بينت ليخرجكم من ٱلظلمت إلى ٱلنور
And God is surely, toward you, full of kindness, Benevolent.
وإن ٱلله بكم لرءوف رحيم
And what is with you that you do not spend in the way of God, while to God belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth?
وما لكم ألا تنفقوا في سبيل ٱلله ولله ميرث ٱلسموت وٱلأرض
Not equal among you is the one who spent and fought before the opening:
لا يستوي منكم من أنفق من قبل ٱلفتح وقتل
those are more immense in degree than those who spent and fought afterward.
أولئك أعظم درجة من ٱلذين أنفقوا من بعد وقتلوا
And to all, God has promised the most beautiful.
وكلا وعد ٱلله ٱلحسنى
And God is Intimately Acquainted with what you do.
وٱلله بما تعملون خبير
Who, then, will make God a beautiful loan, which He will double for him, and he will have a generous reward?
من ذا ٱلذي يقرض ٱلله قرضا حسنا فيضعفه له وله أجر كريم
The Day you will see the believing men and believing women, their light hurrying before them and on their right.
يوم ترى ٱلمؤمنين وٱلمؤمنت يسعى نورهم بين أيديهم وبأيمنهم
Your good tidings today: gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally.
بشرىكم ٱليوم جنت تجري من تحتها ٱلأنهر خلدين فيها
That is the immense triumph.
ذلك هو ٱلفوز ٱلعظيم
The Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those who believed: "Wait for us that we may borrow from your light." It will be said: "Return behind you and seek a light."
يوم يقول ٱلمنفقون وٱلمنفقت للذين ءامنوا ٱنظرونا نقتبس من نوركم قيل ٱرجعوا ورآءكم فٱلتمسوا نورا
Then a rampart will be erected between them, having a gate, its interior containing benevolence, and its uncovered side, before it, containing punishment.
فضرب بينهم بسور له باب باطنه فيه ٱلرحمة وظهره من قبله ٱلعذاب
They will call to them: "Were we not with you?"
ينادونهم ألم نكن معكم
They will say: "Yes, but you put yourselves to trial, and bided your time, and doubted, and vain wishes deluded you until the command of God came, and the great deluder deluded you concerning God."
قالوا بلى ولكنكم فتنتم أنفسكم وتربصتم وٱرتبتم وغرتكم ٱلأماني حتى جآء أمر ٱلله وغركم بٱلله ٱلغرور
So today no ransom will be taken from you, nor from those who disowned. Your resort is the Fire; it is your ally.
فٱليوم لا يؤخذ منكم فدية ولا من ٱلذين كفروا مأوىكم ٱلنار هي مولىكم
And what an evil destination!
وبئس ٱلمصير
Has the time not come for those who believe that their cores should become humble at the remembrance of God and what has descended of truth?
ألم يأن للذين ءامنوا أن تخشع قلوبهم لذكر ٱلله وما نزل من ٱلحق
And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and the span grew long for them, so their cores hardened.
ولا يكونوا كٱلذين أوتوا ٱلكتب من قبل فطال عليهم ٱلأمد فقست قلوبهم
And many of them are oversteppers.
وكثير منهم فسقون
Know that God brings the earth back to life after its death.
ٱعلموا أن ٱلله يحي ٱلأرض بعد موتها
We have already made the signs clear to you, perhaps you will reason.
قد بينا لكم ٱلءايت لعلكم تعقلون
Indeed, the men and women who give in charity, and who make God a beautiful loan — it will be doubled for them, and they will have a generous reward.
إن ٱلمصدقين وٱلمصدقت وأقرضوا ٱلله قرضا حسنا يضعف لهم ولهم أجر كريم
And those who believe in God and His messengers — those are the veracious.
وٱلذين ءامنوا بٱلله ورسله أولئك هم ٱلصديقون
And the witnesses, with their Guardian.
وٱلشهدآء عند ربهم
They will have their reward and their light.
لهم أجرهم ونورهم
And those who have disowned and denied Our signs — those are the companions of the Blaze.
وٱلذين كفروا وكذبوا بايتنآ أولئك أصحب ٱلجحيم
Know that the near life is but play, distraction, adornment, mutual boasting among you, and rivalry in accumulation of goods and children — like the example of a saving rain whose vegetation dazzles the sowers, then it dries up, and you see it turn yellow, then it becomes debris.
ٱعلموا أنما ٱلحيوة ٱلدنيا لعب ولهو وزينة وتفاخر بينكم وتكاثر في ٱلأمول وٱلأولد كمثل غيث أعجب ٱلكفار نباته ثم يهيج فترىه مصفرا ثم يكون حطما
And in the last life: severe punishment, and forgiveness from God and good pleasure.
وفي ٱلءاخرة عذاب شديد ومغفرة من ٱلله ورضون
And the near life is nothing but a deluding enjoyment.
وما ٱلحيوة ٱلدنيآ إلا متع ٱلغرور
Race toward forgiveness from your Guardian and a garden whose extent is like the extent of the heaven and the earth, prepared for those who believe in God and His messengers.
سابقوا إلى مغفرة من ربكم وجنة عرضها كعرض ٱلسمآء وٱلأرض أعدت للذين ءامنوا بٱلله ورسله
That is the favor of God, which He grants to whom He wills.
ذلك فضل ٱلله يؤتيه من يشآء
And God holds the immense favor.
وٱلله ذو ٱلفضل ٱلعظيم
No calamity strikes the earth or yourselves except that it is in a register even before We acquit it.
مآ أصاب من مصيبة في ٱلأرض ولا في أنفسكم إلا في كتب من قبل أن نبرأهآ
That is indeed easy for God — so that you do not lament for what you have missed, nor rejoice in what has come to you.
إن ذلك على ٱلله يسير لكيلا تأسوا على ما فاتكم ولا تفرحوا بمآ ءاتىكم
And God does not love any arrogant boaster.
وٱلله لا يحب كل مختال فخور
Those who are stingy and enjoin stinginess upon men.
ٱلذين يبخلون ويأمرون ٱلناس بٱلبخل
And whoever turns his back — indeed God is the Self-Sufficient, the Praiseworthy.
ومن يتول فإن ٱلله هو ٱلغني ٱلحميد
We have indeed sent Our messengers with clear proofs and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that men may maintain equity.
لقد أرسلنا رسلنا بٱلبينت وأنزلنا معهم ٱلكتب وٱلميزان ليقوم ٱلناس بٱلقسط
And We sent down iron, in which is severe rigor and benefits for mankind.
وأنزلنا ٱلحديد فيه بأس شديد ومنفع للناس
And so that God may distinguish who helps Him and His messengers, even though He escapes his senses,
وليعلم ٱلله من ينصره ورسله بٱلغيب
for God is the Strong, the All-Powerful.
إن ٱلله قوي عزيز
And We indeed sent Nuh and Ibrahim, and placed among their descendants the charge of informing and the Scripture.
ولقد أرسلنا نوحا وإبرهيم وجعلنا في ذريتهما ٱلنبوة وٱلكتب
Some of them let themselves be guided,
فمنهم مهتد
and many of them are oversteppers.
وكثير منهم فسقون
Then We caused Our messengers to follow in their footsteps, and We caused Issa son of Maryam to follow, and We gave him the Injil.
ثم قفينا على ءاثرهم برسلنا وقفينا بعيسى ٱبن مريم وءاتينه ٱلإنجيل
And We placed in the cores of those who followed him kindness and benevolence; as for instituted reverence, it is they who invented it — We did not prescribe it for them — except in seeking the good pleasure of God.
وجعلنا في قلوب ٱلذين ٱتبعوه رأفة ورحمة ورهبانية ٱبتدعوها ما كتبنها عليهم إلا ٱبتغآء رضون ٱلله
But they were not watchful over it as they should have been.
فما رعوها حق رعايتها
So We gave those among them who believed their reward.
فاتينا ٱلذين ءامنوا منهم أجرهم
And many of them are oversteppers.
وكثير منهم فسقون
O you who have believed! Guard yourselves toward God and believe in His messenger; He will give you a double portion of His benevolence and make for you a light by which you will walk, and He will forgive you.
يأيها ٱلذين ءامنوا ٱتقوا ٱلله وءامنوا برسوله يؤتكم كفلين من رحمته ويجعل لكم نورا تمشون به ويغفر لكم
And God is Most-Forgiving, Benevolent — so that the People of the Scripture may know that they have no power over anything of the favor of God, and that the favor is in the hand of God, which He gives to whom He wills.
وٱلله غفور رحيم لئلا يعلم أهل ٱلكتب ألا يقدرون على شىء من فضل ٱلله وأن ٱلفضل بيد ٱلله يؤتيه من يشآء
And God holds the immense favor.
وٱلله ذو ٱلفضل ٱلعظيم
