Al-A'la

Glorify the name of your Guardian, the Most High, who created and proportioned, and who measured and guided, and who brought forth the pasture, and then made it dark wisps of straw.

سبح اسم ربك الاعلى الذي خلق فسوى والذي قدر فهدى والذي اخرج المرعى فجعله غثاء احوى

He knows what is said aloud and what is hidden.

انه يعلم الجهر وما يخفى

And We will ease you toward ease.

ونيسرك لليسرى

So remind, if the reminder should benefit.

فذكر ان نفعت الذكرى

He who dreads will remember, and the most wretched will keep at a distance from it, who will burn in the greatest Fire, then he will neither die therein nor live.

سيذكر من يخشى ويتجنبها الاشقى الذي يصلى النار الكبرى ثم لا يموت فيها ولا يحيى

He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself, and remembers the name of his Guardian, and makes contact.

قد افلح من تزكى وذكر اسم ربه فصلى

But you prefer the present life, while the last life is better and more lasting.

بل توثرون الحيوة الدنيا والءاخرة خير وابقى
