The Man Gone to Perdition
بسم ٱلله ٱلرحمن ٱلرحيم
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent.
May the hands of the Father of the Flame go to perdition, and he himself has gone to perdition.
تبت يدآ أبي لهب وتب
His goods and what he acquired have availed him nothing.
مآ أغنى عنه ماله وما كسب
He will burn in a fire of flame, and his wife as well,
سيصلى نارا ذات لهب وٱمرأته
the one who ceaselessly carries the firewood, a rope of twisted fiber around her throat.
حمالة ٱلحطب في جيدها حبل من مسد
