At-Takwir

When the sun is wrapped up, and when the stars disperse, and when the mountains are set in motion, and when the pregnant camels are left untended, and when the wild beasts are gathered, and when the seas are set aboil, and when the Selves are paired, and when the girl buried alive is asked for what offense she was killed, and when the chronicles are deployed, and when the sky is stripped away, and when the Blaze is stoked, and when the Garden is brought near, a Self will know what it has brought forward.

إذا ٱلشمس كورت وإذا ٱلنجوم ٱنكدرت وإذا ٱلجبال سيرت وإذا ٱلعشار عطلت وإذا ٱلوحوش حشرت وإذا ٱلبحار سجرت وإذا ٱلنفوس زوجت وإذا ٱلموءدة سئلت بأى ذنب قتلت وإذا ٱلصحف نشرت وإذا ٱلسمآء كشطت وإذا ٱلجحيم سعرت وإذا ٱلجنة أزلفت علمت نفس مآ أحضرت

No! I swear by the withdrawing stars, those that run their courses and hide, and by the night when it departs, and by the dawn when it breathes: this is surely the saying of a noble messenger, endowed with power, secure with the Holder of the Edifice, deferred to there, trustworthy.

فلآ أقسم بٱلخنس ٱلجوار ٱلكنس وٱليل إذا عسعس وٱلصبح إذا تنفس إنه لقول رسول كريم ذي قوة عند ذي ٱلعرش مكين مطاع ثم أمين

And your companion is not deranged.

وما صاحبكم بمجنون

And he certainly saw him on the clear horizon.

ولقد رءاه بٱلأفق ٱلمبين

And he is not grudging with what escapes the senses.

وما هو على ٱلغيب بضنين

And it is not the saying of a banished Diverter. So where are you going?

وما هو بقول شيطن رجيم فأين تذهبون

It is only a reminder for all beings, for whoever among you wills to stand straight.

إن هو إلا ذكر للعلمين لمن شآء منكم أن يستقيم

And you will not want it unless God wills, the Guardian of all beings.

وما تشآءون إلآ أن يشآء ٱلله رب ٱلعلمين
